An Efficient Platform to Promote Industrial Innovation, Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 Completed with a Great Success As Asia's largest and the world's second largest exhibition in metal and metallurgical industry, Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 (a collective name for the 15 th China International Foundry Expo, the 17 th China International Metallurgical Industry Expo and the 15 th China International Industrial Furnaces Exhibition) came to a successful close on June 16, 2017 at Shanghai New International Expo Center. Following the last Beijing exhibition, Metal + Metallurgy China 2017 has once again made great achievements: a strong lineup of overseas exhibitors, magnificent domestic enterprises showcase, a great atmosphere for trade and business, and high praises from all exhibitors. The four-day exhibition attracted 1,263 leading enterprises within a display area of 90,000 sqm and the total visits exceeded 110,359. Excellent foundry equipment is the foundation for a stronger national foundry industry. During the "twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, China's foundry manufacturing industry has achieved breakthroughs in many aspects by independent innovation as the core driving force, laying a solid foundation for the independent construction of digital foundry. Keeping abreast of the trend, this year s China International Foundry Expo displayed comprehensively the four magic keys of the digital foundry, including digital simulation technique, rapid prototyping, robots and big data. In addition, high-end foundry products of automobiles, internal combustion engines, construction machineries, machine tools, metallurgical mine, power and rail transportation could all be found on the site. Efficient and intelligent equipment as well as green foundry materials promoted the upgrading and transformation of the whole industry and helped tp replace the old growth drivers to new ones. A strong lineup of exhibitors made their presence with the top-notch products and technologies, altogether interpreting the efficient and intelligent development 1
trend of the foundry industry. China International Metallurgical Industry Expo, the only metallurgical and metal s hot-processing exhibition approved by UFI in China, showcased metallurgical equipment and products, refractory materials, scrap metal recycling, sheet metal processing, wires and steel structure this year, establishing the largest industrial expo only second to METEC in the globe. Since Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd. joined the organization in 2015, Metal + Metallurgy China has got substantial improvement in its internationalization by absorbing a large number of international elements This year, the International Pavilion attracted an even stronger lineup of exhibitors launched a series of the latest products and technologies, created a fantastic atmosphere for trade and business..
