ALPHABET Founded in 2014 in Manchester s red light district with the modus operandi of making kickass beers, they brew modern styles and re-interpretations of old ones. Flat White 7.4% White breakfast stout with coffee, milk and oats. Charlie Don t Surf 4.0% American style wheat beer. Definitely smells better than Napalm. BLACKJACK Set up in 2012 Blackjack brew out of a railway arch in Manchester on the former Marble Brew kit. The Smithfield Tavern in the northern quarter is the brewery s tap house. Mosaic Light 3.6% Hoppy American pale ale. Gold Coast 4.6% Pale ale brewed with all Australian hops. CLOUDWATER Oft-overlooked (if you ve been living under a rock) new Manchester brewery dabbling in modern styles. One to watch! Seville Orange Sour 3.5% Light, sour ale with oranges. IPA Chinook / Vic Secret 6.5% IPA with Australian and US hops. FIERCE Aberdeen brewery which opened in 2016 to brew un-fined beers with strong, bold 'in your face' flavours. Split Shift 5.5% Packed with a trio of American hops, this IPA really delivers on flavour. Bitter, hoppy & light bodied it's ideal for sampling between shifts.

Dirty Sanchez 6.5% Smoked porter with notes of chocolate and wood smoke plus a sombrero-full of chipotle chili. Smooth and warming, with a hard chilli kick. FYNE ALES Family run brewery established in 2001 on a farm at the head of Loch Fyne, Scotland. They have an on-site brewery tap and host annual beer, music & food festival - FyneFest. Orange A Peel 3.8% Pale ale with whole oranges added to the hopback. Wee Heavy 6.1% Traditional Scottish ale. Dark, strong and malty. HAWKSHEAD Brewers of distinctive, flavourful, modern beers since 2002. The beer range is eclectic & Head Brewer Matt Clarke relishes the opportunity to experiment & develop innovative brewing techniques. Further expansion is planned after signing a new investment deal. Iti 3.5% Named after the Maori word for little this is NZPA s little brother. Crisp with citrus and floral aromas on the nose and huge flavours of gooseberry, grapefruit & tropical fruit. Windermere Pale 3.5% An aromatic and wildly hoppy, very pale ale. Huge hop aromas from a medley of traditional and modern hops including tropical fruit flavours from the American Citra hop. XPA Extra Pale Ale 3.5% session series brew for March. The use of low colour malt creates a clean pale base beer, the perfect platform to showcase the hops, Citra (USA) and Jester (UK). Bitter 3.7% A pale, hoppy and bitter ale: a slight elderflower aroma from Slovenian Celeia hops, followed by long bitterness. The hikers' favourite - the perfect thirst quencher after a day on the fells. Jantar 4.0% Named after the Polish word for amber and brewed with two Polish hops - Junga and Marynka as well as some Bramling Cross, a British variety, for bittering.

Red 4.2% A bitter-sweet rich and fruity red ale. Brewed with English hops and Dark Crystal malt which gives the beer its colour. A beer for those who like their ale to have some colour and taste of malt. Lakeland Gold 4.4% A refreshing, well hopped, fruity and bitter golden ale with complex fruit flavours from the blending of English hop, First Gold, with the outrageously fruity American hop, Cascade. Dry Stone Stout 4.5% A dry oatmeal stout. Aromas of chocolate and coffee, complex rich deep flavours from a blend of 7 malts, moderate bitterness and a long dry finish. Session IPA 4.7% A hop-bomb of a beer, crammed full of fruity flavours from big American & NZ hops: Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin & Centennial. Great White 4.8% A spiced, cloudy, wheat beer. Brewed with coriander seeds, dried Seville orange peel and Motueka hops from New Zealand, to produce a delicately hopped, crisp, highly refreshing beer. Brodie s Prime 4.9% A well-hopped dark premium beer, with an unusual medley of flavours. It has a roasted edge, like a stout, but with contrasting spiciness and surprisingly pronounced fruit flavours from a mixture of English and American hops. Cumbrian Five Hop 5.0% Well hopped golden ale made using, as the name suggests, 5 different hop varieties; Goldings, Bramling Cross, Fuggles, Citra and Amarillo. Flavours of tropical fruit, orange marmalade and herbal hop aromas are balanced by a juicy malt character. Lakeland Lager 5.0% It s lager, but it s tasty. Pale with restrained but fresh hop character from European lager hops. The twist is it has been fermented not with lager yeast but with our own ale yeast. Hop Black 5.6% Black & hoppy. Clean, restrained malt flavours come from de-husked dark malt, which lays a platform for the sort of hoppiness usually found not in a dark ale but in an American-style IPA. NZPA 6.0% Brewed with 4 New Zealand hops. Passionfruit, mango and apricot aromas and a citrus bitterness are balanced by the sweetness of Maris Otter barley to produce an extraordinary beer which showcases the unique hops of New Zealand.

IPA 7.0% A modern IPA, amber in colour, with huge, complex hop flavours from a blend of American & New Zealand hops, including Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Columbus and Mosaic, and balanced by sweet malt. Northern Imperial Stout 9.5% A beer to be savoured and sipped to appreciate evolving layers of flavour. Full bodied with coffee, chocolate and roasted flavours at the forefront and dark stone fruit in the background. MALLINSONS Tara Mallinson founded the brewery in Huddersfield in 2008. Their brewery tap, The Corner, opened in 2016. Citra 3.8% A signature Mallinson s single hopped session pale. SPA 3.9% Session pale with Summit, Colombus and Chinook. MARBLE Marble began brewing in 1997 they now own 3 pubs in Manchester and all beers are unpasteurised and un-fined. Ember City 6.0% Hoppy red ale. Chewy caramel, cinder toffee and toast provide the base for bitter orange and bright mango with a lingering resinous finish. Built to Fall 5.6% American pale ale. Biscuit malt balances pronounced hop bitterness, finishing with a juicy fruit character of ripe nectarines, tangerine and mango from a mixture of US and New Zealand hops. Lagonda 5.0% Marble s flagship IPA named after a classic car owned by the boss s father. Pale in colour, the malts give enough body on which to build a complex hop character using a blend of 3 New World hops. SALOPIAN Quietly brewing beautiful beers since the mid 1990's this brewery has developed a cult following far beyond its native Shropshire. Kashmir 5.5% A first outing in cask for this elegant strong Salopian version of an IPA. Citrus, pine and tropical fruit engulf the palate. It has a dry body and an extremely long lingering finish.

Oracle 4.0% Crisp and hoppy pale ale. THORNBRIDGE The brewery, established in 2005, operates from two sites; a 10-barrel plant at Thornbridge Hall, Derbyshire and a 30 barrel plant (with bottling line) in Bakewell. Costello 5.3% Straw coloured springtime pale ale. Bright and refreshing with citrus, orange zest and passionfruit aroma and high drinkability. Bronx 7.2% Irish American dry stout brewed for St Patrick s Day. TORRSIDE Based in New Mills, Derbyshire, Torrside have been brewing at the side of the Peak Forest Canal since 2016. West of the Sun 4.5% New Zealand session pale ale. Armfuls of tropical and resinous NZ hops give an unmistakeable antipodean zing! I m Spartacus 6.8% Simcoe-led Inevitable American IPA.

ALLENDALE This Northumberland brewery near the borders of Cumbria and Durham has been brewing since 2006 from a state of the art 20-barrel plant run out of a historic lead smelting mill. Tar Bar l 4.5% Smooth and rich stout with flavours of coffee and chocolate. Hopped with Columbus and summit. Centennial 5.1% American pale ale. ATOM Founded in Hull in 2014 Atom aims to blend scientific principle, brewing knowledge and raw enthusiasm to create beers that are full of big flavours. Quantum State 4.2% Session IPA. Phobos & Deimos 7.0% Super hoppy rye IPA with a full on spicy rye malt body. Ratebeer Best Beer in East Yorkshire 2016. FALLEN Paul Fallen (pronounced 'faalin'), a former homebrewer, set up the brewery in 2014 in a converted railway station shed in the village of Kippen, Stirlingshire. Grapevine 5.4% This pale ale has an almost vinous flavour and aroma, provided by some fantastic new world hops; Magnum, Citra, Pacifica, Kohatu & Galaxy. Chew Chew 6.1% Salted caramel milk stout. Brewed with dark Belgian candi syrup, lactose and Hebridean sea salt. FELL BREWERY Located just down the road from us on the Cartmel peninsular Fell was founded by homebrewer Tim and friend Andrew in 2012. Nectar 4.2% Session IPA with Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo.

The Koppenberg 6.0% Belgian brown ale named after a cobbled hill in Flanders. ILKLEY Established in 2009, almost 100 years after the spa town's original brewery closed, by two friends, both passionate about beer, who decided on a mid-life career change. Oatmeal Pale 4.0% Brand new hoppy pale with a full and satisfying mouthfeel. Tribus Lupulus 4.2% Triple hopped pale with Hallertau Blanc (GER), Enigma (AUS) and Jarrylo (USA) NEPTUNE We are excited to welcome Liverpool s newest brewery to their first Hawkshead beer fest. The 6 barrel brewery produces un-fined, vegan friendly beers. Big Sur 4.5% Pale ale brewed with Cascade, Ahtanum, Amarillo, Citra & Simcoe hops. Undercurrent 4.7% Easy drinking dark fruity stout. NORTH Leeds micro-brewery set up by the team behind the legendary North Bar. Prototype 3.9% Session pale ale. Transmission 6.9% West Coast IPA. PILOT Set up by Heriot-Watt University brewing degree graduates Matt Johnson and Patrick Jones. They started brewing at the end of 2013 in the heart of Leith, Scotland. Blønd 4.0% Fresh and zesty, a very modern cloudy pale ale brewed with 50% oats and hopped with Galaxy and Amarillo.

Mochachino Stout 5.5% Sweet indulgent milk stout with an exclusive coffee roast, raw and roast cocoa nibs, Tahitian vanilla and lactose. ROOSTERS Since their opening in 1993 (in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire) Roosters have gone through many changes yet maintain their reputation of producing hop-forward pale ales. Weakender 3.0% Triple hopped ultra-session pale ale with Cascade, Crystal and Simcoe. Nelson Sauvin IPA 5.0% A single-hopped IPA brewed using the much sought-after Nelson Sauvin hop from NZ that creates a white wine fruitiness, with hints of gooseberry, backed up by a lasting grapefruit bitterness. TEMPEST Set up in 2010 by Scotsman Gavin and New Zealander Annika the brewery moved to bigger premises at Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders in 2015 adding a bottling line & new tanks. Dawn of Justice 3.6% 21st century session IPA bursting with hop flavour. The Pale Armadillo 3.8% Big upfront citrus fruits in this fantastic session ale. TRACK Manchester brewery knocking out great beers from their railway arch / brewery / taproom under Piccadilly station. Meta Comet 4.3% New England IPA. Santa Muerte 9.0% Imperial stout with cacao nibs, vanilla pods, chillies and lactose.

WYLAM Wylam s new 1.8m home at Newcastle s Exhibition Park houses a new 30 barrel brewhouse, their brewery tap and an events centre. Dr Rudi 3.8% Single hop series NZ pale. Super sessionable pale with over the counter prescription doses of stone fruit, peach and apricot. Galatia 3.9% Double hopped extra pale with a heavy dose of New World hops. Fresh orange, stone fruit and a clean dry fresh pine kick to the finish.

MALT LOFT HAWKSHEAD MALT LOFT Chuckleberry Sour 3.3% A unique fruit beer - vibrant pink, effervescent, low alcohol, refreshing. A chuckleberry is a cross between redcurrant, gooseberry and jostaberry, and is full of the flavours of all three. Earl Grey & Seville Orange Sour 3.3% (on rotation) Limited edition speciality sour. Solar Sour aged with loose leaf Earl Grey tea, dried Seville orange peel and dried Manuka leaf. Solar Sour 3.3% (on rotation) A very pale, effervescent, highly refreshing, low alcohol, kettle-soured, unfiltered, cloudy wheat beer with restrained lemony tartness. Our take on a Berliner Weisse. Session IPA 4.7% A hop-bomb of a beer, crammed full of fruity flavours from big American & NZ hops: Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin & Centennial. Great White 4.8% A spiced, cloudy, wheat beer. Luscious layers of flavour: chocolate, vanilla, coconut, almond, bitter cherry, rolling into the richness of dark malts Bourbon Barrel Aged Northern Imperial Stout 9.5% (on rotation) Small batch release of Northern Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon barrels previously holding Buffalo Trace. Deep, rich, strong black beer with a complex array of flavours. Tiramisu Imperial Stout 10.0% (on rotation) Brewed in collaboration with Cigar City Brewery of Tampa Bay, Florida. Inspired by the classic Italian dessert, Tiramisu, this is a strong stout, made with coffee beans and 8 varieties of malt. It exhibits rich, luscious layers of coffee, mocha and cream flavours. MAGIC ROCK MALT LOFT Little known outside their native Huddersfield (if you ve been on the moon for the last 6 years), Magic Rock are known for their hop-forward modern styles. Salty Kiss 4.1% Originally a collaboration brew with Kissmeyer Beer. A traditional German style gose, flavoured with fruit, sea buckthorn and sea salt. Tart, lightly sour, fruity and refreshing with a defined saltiness. Inhaler 4.5% Pale ale/ipa hybrid with low bitterness and six different hops. Super fruity, super ripe, super juicy and super drinkable. Breathe it in! MALT LOFT

Aprication 5.4% MALT LOFT A naturally cloudy session style apricot wheat beer to celebrate longer days and the return of the sun. Common Grounds 5.4% Triple coffee porter. Full bodied and decadently smooth. Brewed in collaboration with local Huddersfield roaster Dark Woods. High Wire 5.5% A tribute to the pale ales of the West Coast of America; beers unapologetically hop forward in character. Mango, lychee and lip-smacking grapefruit flavours and a crisply bitter finish. Cannonball 7.4% An IPA in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, plus rasping bitterness. RUNAWAY MALT LOFT Founded in Manchester in 2014 by two old friends, Mark & Darren. Named Runaway after what they felt they were doing when they quit their jobs to start their brewing adventure. NZ Pale 4.2% Light, crisp and fruity pale ale, brewed exclusively using tropical, juicy New Zealand hops. Pale Ale 4.7% Crisp, bright, refreshing pale ale packed full of new world hops, which give a big citrus flavour - think pink grapefruit - and a lingering but tempered bitter finish. Bitter Chocolate Stout 5.0% A full bodied, mid strength stout brewed with Madagascan cocoa powder, cocoa nibs and vanilla pods. Smoked Porter 6.0% Rich, luxurious, full bodied porter, with a sweet, warming, but subtle smoked character. MALT LOFT

FOOD On Friday & Saturday a festival-special menu will be served (from 12pm whilst stocks last) from outside the kitchen on the 1st floor of the Main Bar. Please place & wait to collect your order there. Sunday will see the return of our normal menu (which includes beer tapas & Sunday roast) and is served 12-6pm in the Main Bar. MUSIC There'll be chilled ambient music in the Malt Loft from a DJ on Friday & Saturday evenings. MERCH A stall in the River Bar will be selling Hawkshead Brewery branded merchandise including t-shirts and gift packs of bottles. Individual bottles and cases of beer can be purchased at the Main Bar.
