Beer is to Belgium as wine is to France and whisky is to Scotland. Belgians can choose from over 800 different brews from around 100 breweries. These breweries are known for their perfect balance of high quality, advanced blending methods and state of the art technology. The results are here for you to enjoy. We honour the pouring tradition I The Purification, your bartender will always use a clean glass, which is rinsed and then chilled with cold water, allowing the glass to reach the same temperature as the beer. II The Sacrifice, ensuring every drop of beer is fresh, your bartender allows the first foams from the tap to wash away. III The Liquid Alchemy Begins, the chalice is held at 45 degree angle allowing the perfect amount of foam to start forming the head of the beer. IV The Head, the glass is straightened and the head forms creating the vital protection for the beer ensuring maximum freshness and flavour. V The Removal, your bartender then closes the tap in one swift motion and moves the glass away to prevent drips entering the beer that have had contact with the air, these drops have oxidized and are not worthy of your beer. VI The Beheading, while the head is still forming, your bartender cuts it gently with a knife to eliminate the larger bubbles, bursting easily they accelerate the dissipation of the head. VII The Cleansing, your bartender rinses the bottom and sides of your glass, this keeps the outside of the chalice clean and comfortable to hold. VIII The Bestowal, your beer is served to you on a coaster. Behold; a perfect glass of beer!

It has a lasting yeasty taste complimented by dried fruits and a great mouth feel. Welcome to the dark side of good quality beer. This quadruple isn t for the fainthearted!! Liefmans Kriek Brut Duvel-Moortgat Oudenaarde, Belgium 6.0% 750ml $40.0 This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. A perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour.

Authentic Trappist Beer Trappist is a high fermentation beer brewed by monks inside monasteries; only 11 Trappist-monasteries are producing beer in the world. A Trappist has to satisfy a number of strict criteria, including beer must be brewed within the walls of the monastery by monks or under direct supervision, and the brewery is not intended to be a profitmaking venture. The art of Trappist dates back to the middle ages when the beer was brewed for its nourishing properties. There are 6 Trappist breweries in Belgium and we have 5 on offer. Chimay Tripel Bières de Chimay Hainaut, Belgium 8.0% 330ml $14.3 With a bouquet of Muscat grapes and raisins, the Chimay Tripel succeeds remarkably in blending both sweetness and bitterness. Chimay Rouge Bières de Chimay Hainaut, Belgium 7.0% 330ml $14.2 The Chimay Red from the world famous Notre-Dame of Scourmont. This Trappiste can be matched to food in the same ways as a hearty red wine, with its strong flavour & beautiful bouquet with a slight bitterness. Chimay Bleu Bières de Chimay Hainaut, Belgium 9.0% 330ml $14.2 The Chimay Bleue is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. When served at ambient temperature, its full strength is released & it reveals its richness of both body & soul. Westmalle Tripel Malle, Belgium 9.5% 330ml $16.6 Trappisten van Westmalle This Tripel is smooth, dry & hoppy. It has a hint of fruity flavours and its aroma is spicy with plenty of vanilla. Westmalle Dubbel Malle, Belgium 7.0% 330ml $15.6 Trappisten van Westmalle The Dubbel is rich in colour & complex in taste, beginning with a hint of malt followed by warm dark fruit undertones & finishing with a touch of bitterness. Rochefort 6 Rochefort, Belgium 7.5% 330ml $14.3 Brasserie Rochefort The 6, the oldest of the three Rochefort Trappist beers, has the reddish colour of autumn leaves, a soft body and an earthy, herbal palate (a hint of Darjeeling tea), which develops into a deep fruitiness.

Rochefort 8 Rochefort, Belgium 7.5% 330ml $16.1 Brasserie Rochefort The 8 is oak brown with a red tinge & a huge creamy head. Brown sugar, strawberry, & orange preserves on the nose before soft caramel, a hint of chocolate, then pepper, spice & orange liqueur to end. Lots of body Rochefort 10 Rochefort, Belgium 11.3% 330ml $16.6 Brasserie Rochefort The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark colour, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities. Wit & Saison Witbier (white beer in Flemish) are yet another example of a style that nearly expired, but is now quite popular following an enthusiastic rebirth. There are two requirements of this style: first, it must contain up to 50 percent wheat and secondly, the use of spices namely coriander. Saison (French for season), also known as farmhouse ales, are traditionally brewed in the winter, to be consumed throughout the summer months. Look for earthy yeast tones, mild to moderate tartness and lots of spice Titje Blanche Brasserie de Silly Silly, Belgium 5.0% 330ml $13.5 Classic Belgian Witbier using their special blend of spices including coriander and curacao dried orange peel along with Hallertau hops. This is a refreshing beer, producing a big white head in the glass, creamy mouthfeel and a lightly bitter finish. Saison Dupont Brasserie Dupont Tourpes-Leuze, Belgium 6.5% 330ml $14.5 A classic Belgian farmhouse ale. This is a beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish. It is bottled unfiltered so it may be cloudy or have a slight sediment but this is normal and perfectly natural.

Blonde & Tripel The name "Tripel" actually stems from part of the brewing process, in which brewers use up to three times the amount of malt than a standard Trappist "Simple." Traditionally, Tripels are bright yellow to gold in colour, which is a shade or two darker than the average Pilsener. Tripels are actually notoriously alcoholic, yet the best crafted ones hide this character quite evil-like and deceivingly, making them sipping beers. Real Belgian Pils Brasserie de Silly Silly, Belgium 5.0% 330ml $9.5 A straw gold, mellow brew with the light aroma and rich maltiness. It has a combination of subtle tasting yeast flavours and noticeable hop character that creates a pleasant lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Gouden Carolus Tripel Mechelen, Belgium 9.0% 330ml $16.6 Brouwerij Het Anker Brewed according to ancient traditions, uniting pale malts, rich barley and fine hops. Top fermented, it is then matured at length in cellar and bottle, and is 100% pure with a unique colour and a full flavour due to its well-balanced hopping. Straffe Hendrik Brugs Tripelbier 9 Brugge, Belgium 9.0% 330ml $15.8 Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan A golden triple with a sturdy white collar. The aroma is spicy with hints of black pepper, coriander and ginger, and is even insinuating the presence of oranges. The palate initiates a hint of caramel, soon flowing into a certain bitterness. In the finish one can discover citrus fruits and even subtle flavours of banana. Duvel Duvel Moortgat Breendonk, Belgium 8.5% 330ml $13.2 A top fermentation beer, re-fermented in the bottle. Blonde in colour with a nice, creamy head. Smooth on the palate, hoppy and full of taste. Excellent sweet/ bitter balance. Pleasant aroma and long-lasting aftertaste. Delirium Tremens Melle, Belgium 8.5% 330ml $15.7 This beer is lightly hopped & surprisingly malty. It uses three different yeasts & packaged in a bottle painted to resemble cologne ceramics & the label depicts the beers production. Delirium Tremens is Latin for trembling madness

Triple Karmeliet Brouwerij Bosteels Buggenhout, Belgium 8.4% 330ml $14.9 This three grain beer brewed with steiermark hops has balanced herbal flavours of vanilla and banana. The creaminess of the oats and the orange-like aroma makes it a staff favourite Hoegaarden Grand Cru Hoegaarden, Belgium 8.5% 330ml $14.2 Brouwerij van Hoegaarden Pouring cloudy orange almost golden in colour, the Cru has a fruity, thick aroma and an abundant foamy head flavoured with curacao orange & coriander St Bernardus Tripel Watou, Belgium 8.0% 330ml $15.3 Brouwerij St. Bernardus This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour. This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness. Lambic & Fruit Beer Most commercial beers are made with carefully selected strains of yeast, but brewers of lambic beers leave things up to chance. The beer is left in open vats where wild yeast and bacteria are allowed to take up residence. Once the fermentation process begins, the beer is stored in barrels and left to age for up to three years. If we had to describe lambic beers in one word, we'd probably go with "funky." Floris Kriek Melle, Belgium 3.6% 330ml $13.3 This fruity beer excels by its cherry savour, sweetened without saturation, and leaving a small tone of bitterness in medium and end of palate. Floris Apple Melle, Belgium 3.6% 330ml $13.3 Fresh pressed apple aroma with intricate spices. The taste is reminiscent of caramel apple pie, with a light mouth feel & good carbonation. Floris Passionfruit Melle, Belgium 3.6% 330ml $13.3 Slightly cloudy with a natural passionfruit aroma, which continues on the palate. A superior alternative to any cocktail or aperitifs.

Floris Framboise Melle, Belgium 3.7% 330ml $13.3.Pours a cloudy ruby red with aromas of sweet framboise, berries, raspberry, some yeast and malt, mildly tart fruity notes. Lindemans Pecheresse St Pieters Leeuw, Belgium 2.5% 375ml $16.8 Brouwerij Lindemans Working off a foundation of local barley and unmalted wheat, the Belgian producer 'tames' the near unpalatable sharpness with fruity intensity from the peaches, creating an easy-drinking, low-alcohol brew. Bacchus Framboise Ingelmunster, Belgium 5.0% 330ml $13.9 Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck A beautifully well balanced beer, with a perfect marriage of sweet and sour. It is zesty, refreshing and thirst quenching. The moment you pour, you will smell the raspberries. Brune & Amber A general category for mostly Belgian Strong Dark Ale s and the darker Strong Pale Ale s, and for those who seek a bit of mystery and intrigue, look no further. The mystery in this dark beer comes with the complexity of the beer, which is largely determined by the brewer s intent. Intrigue comes from the sometimes deceivingly high alcohol that can hide from the senses behind the dark ale s aromas and flavours. Deep amber to dark brown in colour with a generous, creamy tan head, Belgian Strong Dark Ales deliver a range of rich, dark malt sweetness and toastiness, dark fruity esters, peppery phenolic spiciness and other sensory treats. Hoegaarden Forbidden Fruit Hoegaarden, Belgium 8.8% 330ml $14.0 Brouwerij van Hoegaarden A full bodied, dark red coloured brew that tastes both sweet & dry; delivering an excellent balance of flavours accompanied by a spicy, herbal aroma. A rich, highly aromatic beer with an irresistible taste. Gouden Carolus Classic Mechelen, Belgium 8.5% 330ml $16.6 Brouwerij Het Anker Gouden Carolus Classic is a Flemish strong brown ale spiced with orange peels & coriander. It starts with suggestions of toffee, orange, passionfruit & becomes quite tart, finishing with a spicy character.

Gouden Carolus Ambrio. Mechelen, Belgium 8.0% 330ml $16.6 Brouwerij Het Anker This is a full-tasting, but deceptively drinkable amber ale, with a great fruity taste and a hoppy edge. The Ambrio has been brewed since the fourteenth century, and is the last of its style brewed in Belgium. Delirium Nocturnum Melle, Belgium 8.5% 330ml $15.7 The darker complement to the more popular Delirium Tremens. Touches of caramel, mocha and chocolate on the nose. Spices such as liquorice & coriander are also present. Mc Chouffe Achouffe, Belgium 8.0% 330ml $14.6 Brasserie d'achouffe Deep mahogany in colour with a soft tan head. Tastes similar to its aroma, with dark fruits, caramel, spices & a little hop bitterness Kwak Brouwerij Bosteels Buggenhout, Belgium 8.4% 330ml $14.9 This fine brew was created in 1791 by Mr Pauwel Kwak. The recipe has not changed since & this double-fermented beer continues to entice. With hints of vanilla, lime & a sweet caramel finish balancing the overall dryness. Kasteel Cuvée De Chateau Ingelmunster, Belgium 11.0% 330ml $14.9 Brouwerji Van Honsebrouck Kasteel s top of the line. A nearly black beer with minimal head, classic Belgian dark beer qualities are throughout; a sweet beginning followed by a balanced bitter finish. Raisins and hints of dried fruit along with a touch of choclate. Piraat Ertvelde, Belgium 10.5% 330ml $13.6 Brouwerij Van Steenberge A well rounded body and wickedly rich flavour. Aggressive amounts of hops and malts with a mild sweetness, it is coupled with colourful aromas, fresh bread, spices & tropical fruits for a complex taste that any pirate would enjoy St Bernardus ABT12 Watou, Belgium 10.0% 330ml $16.4 Brouwerij St. Bernardus A massive beer, unbelievably malty as it should be! It has a lasting yeasty taste complimented by dried fruits and a great mouthfeel. Welcome to the dark side of good quality beer. This quadruple isn t for the fainthearted!!

Gulden Draak Ertvelde, Belgium 10.5% 330ml $15.0 Brouwerij Van Steenberge Named after the golden dragon at the top of the belfry in Ghent, this dark tripel is strong in alcohol, with a powerful fragrance of barley, ripe plums and cherries. The palate hints at sour cherries and brown sugar and has a slightly bitter aftertaste. Gulden Draak 9000 Ertvelde, Belgium 10.7% 330ml $15.0 Brouwerij Van Steenberge The new recipe, on basis of 3 different kinds of malt added in a volume of 4 times the content in lager, provide this quadruple with a deep golden amber colour and a fruity scent. Together with the smooth and subtle sweet taste ensures this a wonderfully accomplished bouquet. Kasteel Rouge Ingelmunster, Belgium 7.0% 330ml $14.9 Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck Kasteel Rouge is principally a blend of two quality, artisanal products; Kasteel Donker and a cherry liqueur. An entirely different taste experience and one thing is certain, Kasteel Rouge guarantees a taste explosion! Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel Brugge, Belgium 11.0% 330ml $15.8 Huisbrouwerij De Halve Maan A rich and intense dark Belgian ale. It is brewed with a subtle blend of specialty malts, which give the ale an extremely dark color and a chewy, malty complex character. The quadruple combines a clean dryness with a warm full bodied mouth feel and essences of fruit.
