2017 Morrison Brothers Tree Farm Spring Dig Wholesale Catalog

We at Morrison Brothers Tree Farm would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers (past, present, and future) for your business. We strive to produce high quality trees at a reasonable price. We are committed to our customer relationships and are grateful for the opportunities to help our customers in any way possible. Morrison Brothers Tree Farm is located along Hwy 151 near Dubuque, Iowa. We are growers of high quality large ball and burlap shade trees. At Morrison Brothers Tree Farm, we have over 15,000 trees and more than 50 different cultivars. Our trees are drip irrigated, fertilized, and sprayed regularly for disease and insect control. We are a licensed grower and are inspected yearly by the Department of Agriculture. Customer satisfaction is very important to us at Morrison Brothers Tree Farm. Let us help you with your next project. We can advise you on tree selections for specific site locations and answer any questions you may have on how to plant and care for your trees. Also, if needed, we can refer you to a reputable contract installer and help arrange transportation of product to the planting site. To help you improve your bottom line and increase your planting season, we have a large holding area for pick up and planting all season. The holding area system eliminates roots from extending beyond the root ball and stops root circling. We encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have; and we look forward to serving you in 2017! NOTES FROM THE NURSERY Big is better...but a big well-trained tree is best. What is the best value for your customers? The best value for your customer is a well-trained tree. In general, trees 2½ and larger are fully trained. What is a trained tree? Well-trained trees are pruned to be well-branched. Poorly angled branches and defects have been removed, while maintaining a strong central trunk. Why is a trained tree important? Proper training is truly an art and the most expensive cost in our nursery. It provides a strong structure to prevent damage from wind, ice, and decay. Future tree damage can result in huge costs to the property owner, such as professional tree services, pruning, bracing, etc. In many cases, total removal and replacement of a tree is needed. Remember, our job is to provide a product for a lifetime. It is important to teach the consumer that quality is value, not price.
