Why do we need the? Over 21 million children qualify for free and reduced priced meals Only 1 and 6 children received meals in the summer that s less than 4 million children. Millions of children may go hungry this summer. Hunger does not discriminate.
Where can a Summer Meal site be located? At-risk locations are excellent summer meal sites Faith-based Organizations Childcare Centers Outdoors Parks, Playgrounds, Parking lots, Pools.. Apartment Buildings Multipurpose Room, Courtyard Community Centers Sites can be located almost anywhere there is a need.

It is located near a very large playground. There are lots of children living near by that play in the park. Camp Sunshine hired additional staff and plans to enroll 100 children to participate in their all-day summer camp. They planned a cycle menu and will work with local farmers market to purchase fresh produce to help keep food cost consistent.
