CHOCOLATE AND SPREADS
The Company Nutkao, founded in 1982 by Giuseppe Braida, produces hazelnut spreads and semi-finished products for the confectionery industry. In the 90s, the company began an international expansion that led it to become a leader in the French market (in the private label segment), later broadening its geographical horizons by reaching countries such as Australia, the United States, Belgium, Brazil, North Africa and Spain. In 2006, in addition to their spreads in bucket and in large containers, the company launched two new lines of products (chocolate drops and liquid chocolate), which are available in the B2B channel in the confectionery industry, mainly Italian. Production Site The manufacturing plant is located in Canove di Govone (Cuneo) in a modern industrial complex of 12,000 square meters built in 2001. The total production capacity is 45,000 tons/year. Quality Certifications The application of rigorous control procedures and constant attention to the quality and safety of the product are confirmed by the certifications obtained over the years: ISO 9001:2000 ISO 22000 IFS version 6 BRC version 7 Product Certifications BIO/ORGANIC for the production of spread containing raw materials from organic farming RSPO for the production of spreads with palm oil produced according to criteria of ecological sustainability UTZ for the production of chocolates with cocoa produced according to criteria of ecological sustainability.
Product Range CHOCOLATE Nutkao produces a wide range of basic and essential products for professionals, such as dark, milk, hazelnut and white chocolate. They have different characteristics for colour, flavor and shape, are designed to meet the needs of all customers and suitable for different uses such as: praline coating, moulding and baking. The chocolate is available in drops, chocolate chips or bars. Praline coating Moulding Baking ANHYDROUS SPREAD Nutkao offers a wide range of products that are characterised by the high quality of ingredients used. In particular, to make the spreads, hazelnuts are carefully selected and roasted onsite to obtain a product of the highest quality and freshness. The spreads have different types of creaminess, spreadability and flavor. The many flavors available include milk, cocoa, gianduja, hazelnut and dark, and are suitable for different uses such as cold filling, pre-baking filling, coating, praline filling, and ice cream decoration and coating. The products are available in buckets of 6, 13 and 25 kg with labeled ingredients.
