An easy drinking but flavourful bitter brewed for Trafalgar Day October 21st. After the battle, Nelson s body was returned to England preserved in a barrel of brandy. It is said that the sailors on the Victory drank some of the brandy as part of their grog ration, which became known as Nelson s Blood. Every glass contains a drop of brandy. A golden brown coloured, highly hopped IPA, gently bitter, a little malty and very refreshing. As it`s name suggests this distinctive beer is perhaps the "king" of all ales. Full bodied for it`s strength, this is a well balanced Premium Bitter with a glorious aroma of hops. With an ABV of 4.0% it follow the theme of CAMRA`s 40th anniversary year. It is these attributes that make this Lion hearted ale such a roaring success. Blonde, hoppy beer, with masses of late addition Centennial hops for a long lasting citrus finish Ruby red English bitter with orange notes from massive addition of Styrian Goldings Made using Lager Malt and Hops especially chosen for a Lager / Pilsner style of ale. This beer is very refreshing and makes a great addition to Barbeques and Parties. A pale amber Bitter with great nutty & caramel flavours. Made using a combination of 6 malts and delicate hopping to give a smooth finish on the taste. A session bitter, with grassy hop flavours and a nutty, slightly sweet maltiness with a hint of chocolate. The intriguing union of Lemon and Ginger creates an unmistakable thirst quenching surprise. A deep ruby mild, the aroma is full to the brim with chocolate, smoke and malty notes with just a hint of hop. The palate is clear and clean, sweetness permeates through the overtones resulting in a warm Goldings finish.

Colchester 2010 Winter Festival winner with bags of flavour to match its strength A traditional bitter, brewed with Fuggles and Goldings hops. A brewery so new, nobody knows quite what this will be. A truly special brew. Made to a recipe developed by the Durden Park Beer Circle to recreate the Stout brewed by Ushers Brewery back in 1885. Initially made with the assistance of members of the Craft Brewing Association and the UK-Homebrew Digest at the 2008 'Flocculation' With six different types of malt and a huge amount of English Fuggles hops this is a dark and complex beer. Pennine Aleway Bar As the name suggests, a pale hoppy bitter. Very popular using hops from the antipodes a luscious, hoppy amber ale, full tasting with a touch of caramel and a satisfying finish. Not one for the faint hearted, but the regulars love it. A beast of a golden bitter, full of aromas with a citrus nose Rich and malty A recipe recreated from restored brewing records from the 1800's. The use of traditional coloured and roasted malts gives a unique rich and luscious flavour. A truly traditional premium ale brewed to revive flavours enjoyed by our Victorian ancestors. Full-bodied and fruity with subtle hoppy undertones. Conqueror is light amber in colour. A floral bitterness with citrus notes subsides to leave a fruity finish with a prominent grapefruit flavour.

2011 Festival Tasting Notes (Page 3) Skipton, N. Golden Pippen A light refreshing blonde ale brewed using a specially selected hop to create a citrus fruit flavour. This golden coloured favorite is equally appealing to real ale and lager Elland, West Elland, West Elland, West Elland, West 1872 Porter (6.5% ABV) Bargee Elland Best Nettlethrasher Barmpot Goose Eye Bitter Over & Stout (5.2% ABV) drinkers alike. Rich, complex and dark Porter from an original 1872 recipe, with an old port nose, and coffee and bitter chocolate flavours on the palate. Bargee is a full flavoured bitter brewed with three different malts and English hops. An ideal session bitter. A dry and aromatic bitter made with Maris Otter malt and using hops from England and America. Strong on aroma with a bitter finish. Copper coloured traditional strong ale, brewed using six different malts and robust flavours from the combined use of English hop varieties. A Pale golden additive free traditionally brewed fruity beer with a refreshing lingering taste of hops. A dark moreish stout with a slight hint of chocolate. Pommie's Revenge (5.2% ABV) Pinnacle Blonde (4.3% ABV) Pinnacle Mild Pinnacle Porter Pinnacle Stout Black Mari'a (4.2% ABV) Bruin (3.5% ABV) Goldilocks An extra strong single malt bitter. Very palatable without the heaviness of an old ale but with the same effect. This premium blonde beer, brewed using Optic malt along with a touch of wheat has citrus and spice flavours with a floral finish, provided by Hallertauer hops. A dark Mild, using lots of Crystal malt to give a sweet, malty flavour, balanced by bitterness and aroma from Progress and Goldings hops. Chocolate malt and roasted barley give flavours of coffee and cocao in this rich, dark beer. Generous use of hops balances the flavours to deliver a smooth satisfying pint A wholesome jet black stout, smooth on the palate, brewed with malt and roasted barley and blended with two English hops, producing a strong roast malt flavour with a fruity finish. A true mild beer. A mix of three malts, one being dark chocolate, giving a soft bronze colour. The combination of English goldings and fuggles hops, gives off a sharp wild blackcurrant after taste with a smoothness to follow. Worthy of the great tasting old style milds. This is a light golden ale, refreshingly enticing with a pungent hoppy taste but with a lemon tangy fruit aroma which comes from the complex blend of four hops, one being northern brewer, leaving a clean wheaty citrus flavour on the palate.

2011 Festival Tasting Notes (Page 4) Great Bear A new session beer which has been added to the Old Bear range, this ale is a rich copper colour which comes from the use of 5 malts and has a good depth of flavour provided by Honeypot the Saaz, Fuggles and Mount Hood hops. A ale made with honey. The straw colour comes from the finest maris otter malt enhanced with the golden honey which adds to the amber glow. A single delicate hop added to the honey gives both aroma and taste creating a perfect balance to this truly refreshing ale. Speciality Bar LITTLE VALLEY, Hebden Bridge, W.
