1 First, I would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving from the Jenna Marie family. May you enjoy your family and friends and for a couple of days don t talk politics. Since last years Thanksgiving message Janice and I welcomed two new additions to our family, our granddaughters Victoria and Sofie. That brings our total blessings of grandchildren to eleven and life couldn t be better. It s now six granddaughters and five grandsons, girls rule but I am sure you knew that anyway. Thank you all for your support through our 23 years at Jenna Marie s. Now for some very disturbing news. For the third time this year our countries romaine crop is the source of an e coli outbreak. We will not serve romaine for the foreseeable future. All salads that say romaine will be green leaf. We have thrown out all our romaine and are in the process of doing an entire scrub and sanitizing any area we had romaine. For you at home do the same. E coli is a killer. For those under ten and over sixty-five(me) if your immune system is at all weakened, e coli is almost a virtual death sentence. If you had romaine at home throw it out and possibly anything around it. Sanitize your entire refrigerator. For all of you who are pregnant, give up romaine until the child is born, they can t seem to figure out why this keeps happening so be safe. Hopefully the CDC will locate the source of this outbreak and we can take our finger off the panic button.
