If you do scorch the food, soak the dish for half an hour in a table spoon of baking soda dissolved in a quart of warm water. Then wash as usual. For slight stains, a damp cloth and a little salt are enough. Use of coloured Pyrex in pressure cookers is to be avoided. Coloured Pyrex glass has the same remarkable heat-resisting properties as clear Pyrex glass but the colour itself may be affected when cooking certain food, especially cabbages. turnips and dried fruit. Just to be sure. please use clear Pyrex in your pressure cooker.
