On-line access is available at the "ntroduced Species of Florida" web site: The Web interface was designed and programmed by Kent Perkins. Prints of the Web site top-level pages are included as Attachment A. Because the intent was to assist researchers and citizens in identification of the species, close-ups of various plant parts were also captured. Sixtynine total images, 29 beyond the grant requirement, can be accessed through the project pages. High-resolution images were acquired by Digital Library Center camera operators using a ZBE Satellite large format stationary camera equipped with a PowerPhase AR camera back, 135mm Rodenstock lens and daylight lighting. A Macintosh (PowerMac G4) computer system with 17 gigabytes of storage and megabytes of active memory was used in digital image capture and manipulation. Colorimetrics were calibrated using Kodak Q-60R1 target per ANST8.7/2-1993(1999:04). ntermediate processing of digital herbarium images was done with Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Uncompressed TFFs were burned to CD for archival storage. Web accessible images were created using Lizardtech MrSD geoencoding software. These images permit user viewing at a 1:1 ratio and are available globally from the SD server maintained by the Florida Center for Library Automation. The data presented for each species includes accession number, family, scientific names, common names, and images. Links have been created from the accession number to the label data, from the scientific name to a complete listing of all herbarium specimens for that species, and from the images to the digital plant photographs. Attachment B shows the data linkages. Data for a total of 996 specimens matching the EPPC category invasive species has been entered into the database by the OPS student, hired and supervised by Kent Perkins, Manager of the Collections, University of Florida Herbarium. Statistics on usage of the digital images were captured from the SD server at the Florida Center for Library Automation. From the time the images became available in

2 December 2002 through April 15, 2003, they have been accessed 4,608 times. These accesses include an initial view of a specimen, either a complete specimen or an identifying part, and then additional study of the plant by zooming in and out on particular pclrts. Table 1 indicates by scientific name the plants that were accessed and manipulated. Species that were accessed more than 100 times include Adenanthera pavonina, Aleuties fordii, Dalbergia sissoo, Passiflora biflora, and Ricinus communis. With good usage of this site already documented, the Pis believe that additional specimens: the remaining Category specimens and the Category specimens would increase the site's research potential. Future funding for this expansion will be sought. All deliverables stipulated in the grant have been completed. n accord with the grant requirements, the Office of Contracts and Grants, University of Florida will send the appropriate invoices after June 1, 2003, the Task Assignment Completion Date.
