1 Reports of PPV&FRA, KVK Kawardha Proceeding for PPV and FRA Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kawardha was organized one day Training Cum awareness programme on plant Protection Variety and farmer s right s Authority on at KVK Farm. This programme was inaugurated by Hon ble MLA Shri Ashok Sahu, District Kawardha as Chief Guest. In his inaugural speech Shri Ashok Sahu, Hon ble MLA, District Kawardha, C.G. emphasized the to aware about their rights and protects their traditional varieties of cereals, pulses, oilseeds, fruit, and vegetables to maintain their germ plasm. He also said to adopt integrated farming system for better livelihood and sustainability in agriculture. Smt. Nirupuma Chandraker, Board member IGKV, Raipur remarked that should utilized the facilities and recourses provided by the CG Government to grow multi in various areas according to agro climatic conditions for proper marketing of the agriculture products. She also requested to the to protect their local varieties and maintained biodiversity. She also encouraged the Scientists of KVK Kawardha to do more work for identify local cultivars. Dr. Deepak Sharma, Principle scientist, IGKV Raipur has said that Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kawardha has organized the fair under the supervision of ICAR which helps the to get new and useful information about the PPV and FRA. Dr. Deepak Sharma delivered lecture on various aspects of Plant protection and Farmer s Right Authority. He pointed out that to maintain our biodiversity and our traditional farming it is necessary to protect our local varieties. He also emphasized the to register their verities to get maximum benefits and protect their rights. He informed the detailed procedure for registration of local plant varieties to the. Dr. B.P. Tripathi, PC, KVK, Kawardha in his welcome speech informed that this Programme was First time organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kawardha and at present we have collected 84 traditional varieties from different region of Kabirdham district.he also pointed out the importance and need of the various aspect of this programme. Hon ble chief guest MLA Shri Ashok Sahu, District Kawardha, Smt. Nirupuma Chandraker, Dr. Deepak Sharma and many progressive visited the stall, and KVK Farm. Smt Nirupuma Chandraker and Dr. Deepak Sharma rewarded the innovative for their work. This event was graced by Shri Santosh Patel, President Jila Panchayat Kabirdham, officers of department of agriculture, I/c Dean, SKCARS, Dr. VK Soni, Assistant professor Shri O. N. Verma, all SMS of KVK and about two hundred of Kabirdham district. During this programme Krishak Sangosti was organized and various SMS delivered lecture on relevant subjects.
