A full crop of fresh apples now ripens as they did 34 ago. In 1981, the north side of the property hosted an apple orchard that was removed to make room for expansion. Thirty later, owner Doug Nelson replanted two acres of fruit trees, mostly apples cherries. The new orchard boasts over 600 trees, planted in a field of clover pollinated by bees from Wallace s own hives. With plus varieties of apples, fruits begin to ripen in early August will continue to fruit through October.
