1 Tiffin Expert: Shipra Khanna Oats Tomato Idli Recipe: Are you looking for a fun, new way to make idlis? If yes, then Oats Tomato Idli is an amazing recipe to prepare for your kids tiffin box. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup makes the recipe even more appealing and gives the dish a burst of tomato flavour. Oats (dry roasted and powdered): 2 cups Curd: 2 cups Mustard seeds: 1 tablespoon Oil: 1/2 tablespoon Finely chopped spinach: 2 tablespoons Grated carrots: 1 cup Finely chopped coriander: 2 tablespoons Turmeric powder: 1/2 tablespoon Salt: 2 tablespoons Eno fruit salt: 1 tablespoons Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 2 tablespoons
2 In a pan, add mustard seeds and allow the mustard to splutter. Then add grated carrots, turmeric powder, spinach, coriander leaves, salt to taste and mix it well for a minute. Now take a bowl, add powdered oats mixture, salt, curd and stir it with a whisk to make a batter. You can add more curd to the mixture to form the consistency, but do not add water to the batter. Add vegetable mixture, fruit salt and Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup to the batter and mix it. Grease the idli steamer plates with oil and pour the batter. Steam idlis for minutes. To know if the idlis are cooked, poke an idli with a toothpick and make sure the batter does not stick to the knife. Once done, remove the idlis and pack them in the tiffin. Mixed Dal Chilla: Multigrain Chilla is a healthy yet delicious recipe to surprise your kids with come the lunch break. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup adds a nice tangy taste to the dish and makes the recipe super yummy. Split moong dal (without skin): 1 cup Chana dal: ½ cup Whole moong dal: ½ cup Finely chopped green chilli: 1 Finely chopped coriander leaves: 1 tablespoon Olive oil: 2 tablespoons For Topping Sliced mushrooms: 100 grams Oil: 1 teaspoon Paneer: 100 grams Salt and pepper to taste Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 2 tablespoons For the Chilla: Wash the dal under running water, till the water comes out clean. Then submerge it in water and leave it to soak for 2 hours. Grind the dal in a food processor to make a fine paste. Add salt, Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup and add more water if required to get the right consistency of batter. Heat oil on a non stick pan and spread evenly. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and with the help of a ladle, spread from the center outwards.
3 Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves, green chilli, paneer, mushrooms, salt and pepper and then spread it evenly and cover the chilla with a lid. Cook for 2-3 minutes till its underside is browned and the mushrooms are cooked. Then flip it and cook till the other side is golden too. Remove the chilla from pan and pack it in the tiffin. Waffles: Waffles are a delightfully sweet treat loved by every kid. That s why this recipe is a sure winner in their tiffin box. Kissan Berry Blast Jam adds a burst of blueberry flavour and a fun taste to the dish that your kids will relish. Whole wheat flour: 1.5 cups Baking powder: 1 1/2 teaspoons Icing sugar: 1 tablespoon Olive oil: 1 tablespoon Eggs: 2 Vanilla extract: 1/2 teaspoon Skimmed milk: 3/4 cup Kissan Berry Blast Jam: 1 tablespoon (20 grams) In a bowl, add wheat flour, baking powder and mix it together. Keep the mixture aside Take another bowl, add eggs, vanilla essence and while whisking add milk to the egg mixture Now add wheat flour mixture to the egg mixture slowly and add Kissan Berry Blast Jam, beating it until incorporated in the mixture Now heat a waffle iron on high and grease it with olive oil. Spoon 2 ladle fulls of batter onto the waffle iron. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the waffle is golden brown. Divide the waffles into 4 pieces and dust some icing sugar on it. Now pack the tiffin. Baking Jam Tarts: Strawberry Jam Tart is a super delicious dessert recipe and a creative way to add the goodness of fruit to your child s tiffin. Kissan Strawberry Blast Jam adds amazing fruity flavours to the dish, making tiffin time a treat for your child.
4 Wheat flour: 250 grams Chilled butter: 150 grams Kissan Strawberry Blast Jam: 2 tablespoons Fresh strawberries (sliced): 150 grams Water as per required Preheat oven to 180 C. Sieve the flour into a mixing bowl and add the cubed butter. Rub the flour and butter gently together until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs to make sure the butter does not melt with your fingers. Gently mix it together by adding a little water to it. Now chill the mixture for 10 minutes in the refrigerator. Cut circles out of the dough and place them into the tart moulds. Before baking, poke the tart with the fork and place a bean bag in the centre of the tart to retain their shapes. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the tart shells are light golden in colour. Remove the tart out of the moulds and let it rest for 2-3 minutes In a bowl, liquify Kissan Strawberry Blast Jam and drop a little jam into the middle of each tart. Garnish with strawberries. Tomato Upma: Tomato Upma is a healthy and tasty recipe loaded with the goodness of vegetables. It s the perfect dish to pack into your child s tiffin. Semolina / Rava: 1/2 cup Finely chopped tomato: 3/4 cup Finely chopped onion: 1 Green chilli: 1 Water: 1 cup Red chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon Salt to taste Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 1 tablespoon To Temper Oil: 2 tablespoons Urad dal: 1 teaspoon Curry leaves: 1 sprig Channa dal: 2 teaspoons Mustard: 1/2 teaspoon
5 First, heat oil in a pan, add the tempering ingredients and allow it to temper. Now add finely chopped onion and let it cook until the onion turns golden brown. Add tomatoes, salt and cook it until mushy, then add red chilli powder, green chilli and water to it. Now add Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup to the mixture and cook it for a few seconds. Then add rava, mix it well and add water to it. Allow it to cook for 5-7 minutes or until the rava is cooked. Stir in between and pack it into the tiffin.
