2 Pictures Of The Week Chris and Tulsi handing out greens and sweet potatoes at our local food pantry s Thanksgiving food drive last weekend. Every year we donate greens to the FOCUS food drive, but usually run out quickly. In previous year s the most we were able to bring was about 50 bunches. This year, however we were able to bring more than ever before. 100 bunches of kale, turnips and cabbage were handed out. Over 200 families came through for assistance though so unfortunately we ran out before everyone had the chance to add some fresh greens to their cart. If you are a local gardener and would like to grow a row to contribute next year, please let me know and we can deliver them with ours. Also, FOCUS gladly takes food donations year round, so you can donate directly to their office on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
3 Winter watermelon radishes and carrots in the evening light. We will start to pull these carrots as baby size this week and will continue to harvest through December. Stay tuned for winter market dates! Our last main season market will be on December 19 th.
4 Our Farm Made Dark Chocolates are getting rave reviews! We are offering these boxes of assorted chocolates for sale at our On Farm Market starting this week. A box includes 10 assorted farm grown flavors including ginger, mint, turmeric, rosemary and blueberry. We thought it would be great to have these ready for Thanksgiving in case folks wanted to share a special treat with their friends and family. Dark chocolate is the ultimate feel good treat- literally because cocao contains compounds called polyphenols that have been shown to positively affect anxiety and enhance calmness. Couldn't we all use a delicious way to enhance calmness, especially during the holidays? :) You can pre-order yours online to make sure we have a box for you on Our Etsy Page ***Unless you DO want us to ship the chocolate directly to you, you can enter the coupon code noshipping at checkout ***
5 Our produce may be found at: On Farm Market Wednesday Mornings from 9-12 (through December) North Highland Farmer s Market 1 st and 3 rd Wednesday afternoons, 4-6 pm We have a 100 member CSA with drop-off locations in Lagrange, Columbus, Auburn, and On-farm. You can also find our produce on the menus of Bare Roots Farmacy and Food Blossoms Catering out of Hamilton. Take good care, Chris and Jenny
