3 A FAMILY TRADITION FOR OVER 75 YEARS Known today for offering a variety of condiments, sauces, dressings, and ingredients, Tulkoff Food Products, Inc. still produces the best horseradish in the industry. With its roots first planted in Baltimore, Maryland over 75 years ago, Tulkoff started as a small produce stand run by Harry and Lena Tulkoff. As the request for freshly grated horseradish grew, Tulkoff decided to solely concentrate on the horseradish business. Soon after, the Tulkoff Horseradish Products Company was formed and was on its way to becoming one of the nation s largest food manufacturers of horseradish products. From produce stand to national manufacturer, Tulkoff has a rich history. Tulkoff expanded over the following decades, gaining a solid reputation for flavorful products while diversifying its brand. Products like cocktail sauce and Tiger Sauce were natural progressions for the company, using their famous horseradish as a core ingredient. Many remember the iconic tiger jacket always worn by Sol Tulkoff to promote the then named Tulkoff s Tiger line of products. As the years passed, Tulkoff introduced the Seaside line, developed first for the seafood section of the supermarket. With Seaside s placement, cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, and horseradish would always be within reach of the consumer s seafood favorites. Seaside s brand was then extended into foodservice to accommodate restaurants. Next Tulkoff added Culinary Choice, a premier line of specialty sauces, dressings, and marinades, addressing the need for culinary creativity through a wider flavor palate. The Culinaire Express line more recently joined the Tulkoff family as a way to address changes in the market. These products meet the paramount demand to offer customers the same great tasting meal without an increase in cost. In 1997, a second manufacturing facility was acquired in Pittsburg, California to assist in servicing west coast and national clients. Staying close to its roots, Tulkoff built a new headquarters and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in 2008 that can still be found in East Baltimore, not far from where the company first began. 6 Tulkoff Signature Salmon 4 servings (Pictured on front) Featuring Tulkoff s horseradish, garlic, and ginger, this mouthwatering salmon entrée has an enticing dash of heat. 2 Tbsp Tulkoff Prepared Horseradish 2 Tbsp olive oil 2 Tbsp Tulkoff Garlic Puree 2 Tbsp dark brown sugar 2 Tbsp Tulkoff Chopped Ginger 2 Tbsp steak seasoning 1 lb salmon fillet Combine horseradish, garlic, ginger, olive oil, brown sugar, and steak seasoning and pat onto salmon. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees then broil for 3 minutes to caramelize seasoning mixture. Salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork. Variations Tulkoff BBQ Salmon Combine 2 Tbsp each horseradish, garlic and ginger plus 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce for a BBQ glazed salmon bursting with flavor. Tulkoff Salmon with Fresh Herbs Combine 2 Tbsp each horseradish, garlic and ginger plus 1 Tbsp each fresh chopped rosemary, chives, parsley and 2 Tbsp fresh chopped thyme for salmon as tasty as it looks.
