2 BACKGROUND INTRODUCTION Spur Steak Ranches was founded in 1967 in Newlands, Cape Town when Golden Spur Steak Ranch opened its doors. It is now a legendary brand with over 280 restaurants nationwide and over 40 restaurants internationally. Spur Corporation is expanding the Spur Steak Ranches brand even further by providing a smaller, more efficient counter-service model in the form of Spur Grill & Go. This new brand will be positioned to offer the Spur taste to smaller towns and smaller towns throughout South Africa.

3 OPPORTUNITY IDENTIFIED Spur Corporation has identified a unique opportunity to bring the great Spur taste and flavour into the new emerging trend of fast casual dining. Fast Casual Dining is the fastest growing segment of the restaurant industry in 2015, Spur Grill & Go will now provide Franchisees with a unique opportunity to tap into this sector supported by the Spur brand. The fast casual concept offers convenience through counter service, but delivers on high quality food expectations. A smaller bespoke menu will enforce the authenticity of the products and great tasting burgers, ribs, wings and steaks will be on offer at affordable prices. The brand will retain the Spur signature, with an innovative modern swing. Consumers will enjoy tasty food, conveniently offered at a reasonable price with speedy service. They will still, however, enjoy the values that make our brand great, such as exceptional quality, excellent service, generosity and mouth-watering value!
