18 Simply insert the TR Release Tool into a 6mm ( 15 / 64 ) hole in the side of both the upper and lower spigots to remove. Tool Release (TR) Connectors Developed for applications where the connector is mounted very close to equipment that is rotating or spinning very fast, providing additional safety for production and maintenance staff. The TR (tool release) 040E and 040AS fittings have an embossed identifier stamp to make them easy to differentiate from our standard fittings. The Snap Ring of the BFM TR connector is manufactured to have a firmer fit than an a standard connector which also makes it ideal for negative pressure (vacuum) applications. 18

The connectors only lasted an average of 5 days, and cleaning and plant maintenance was a constant challenge. Since installing the BFM fitting system, however, dust has been reduced by 100% and the Chief Engineer of the company said that you could hold a board meeting in the rotary sifter room now it is spotless! 21

A vibratory discharging cone was connected to the hopper via a traditional connecting sock and steel clamps. There was excessive dust leakage and product build-up in the joins a major hygiene issue.
