UNIFORM OUT OF STOCK/EARLY FINISH Silver name badge Extravert t-shirt Extravert cap Own plain black pants/ skirt Own closed in black shoes Hairnet (compulsory) Hi Vis Vest (car park) Gloves NA Store will supply you with enough sample stock for the shift INSTRUCTIONS *Remember to read the instructions in the appendix and to purchase ice prior to your shift On arrival to the store, sign in, then set up your table as directed by the Store Manager Sample stock will be supplied to you by the Store Manager when you arrive at the store. You do not need to pay cash for your sample stock. You will be supplied with 1 x Expressi Machine 2 x Milk Frothers Expressi Coffee Capsules PLEASE FOCUS ON SAMPLING Abruzzo, Reggio and Valletta Waxed cups Milk (full cream and light) replenish from store fridge when required Sugar Put the milk on ice and keep at one side of your demo table. On your table, arrange your Expressi variants in line with the strength indicator easily visible on the side. Locate the Expressi Machine instruction manual and have it on your table for easy reference. Before you start making the beverages, you ll need to flush water through the machine (page 5 of instruction manual - included in appendix). Make Expressi drink of consumer s choice (page 6 of instruction manual included in appendix) You need to press the rinse buttons after each drink. Also use a cup to catch the water and discard it into your empty ice cream container. If the consumer would like milk (page 9 of the Milk Frother manual), heat milk on the Heating only setting. Consumers have the option of full or light milk. Fill the milk up to the MAX line for heating. Please make sure you use the heating only whisk. Also, use a separate Milk Frother for each milk variant eg 1 Milk Frother for Full Cream Milk and 1 Milk Frother for Light Milk. Pour a small amount of milk into the sample cup and offer the consumer sugar. Add sugar with a teaspoon and add a stirrer when serving the coffee. You should get approx. 10 samples out of each batch of milk. Once the milk frother is empty, wipe it out with a paper towel. After every 3 milk heats, rinse the frother at the tap in the kitchen. Don t place anything sharp into the frother. You will need to purchase ice on the way and claim this as an expense item You will be supplied with your sample stock in-store Bring appropriate packaged selling stock to table and replenish as required. You will also need to display your Allergen sign on your table. You are required to wear gloves, hairnet and hat throughout the shift. Ensure you are changing gloves, regularly during your shift, in line with HACCP Prepare samples in line with store traffic Clean and sanitise your table before and after your shift Work from the side of your table not behind You are to display your Allergen Card on the demo unit at all times. Food Safety Standards require Manufacturers of food products to list all product ingredients, in full, on the product label. When questioned re ingredients of products be sure to refer the consumer to the ingredient listing on the product label. If the consumer remains unsatisfied, suggest they either write to or telephone the Manufacturer direct; using the contact details on pack, eg, Customer Help Line 1800 number. You should be speaking to approximately customers per hour Customer reaction to these products is very important to our Client. Remember you are giving general feedback, both positive and negative (please quantify), from the majority of customers, not an isolated comment from one or two. Please write a paragraph of feedback of how the shifts went. Was it busy? Consumer feedback? Any issues? Ways to improve? How many samples did you give out? Take a photo of you and the demonstration table with Expressi set up. Please send feedback and photos to the office.

4 Appendix FAQs about the Machine Does Expressi coffee stay fresh? Each individual Expressi capsule has been sealed airtight to enable the coffee to stay fresh until used. As a result, customers will experience the taste and aroma of a freshly roasted coffee every time. What makes the Expressi coffee machine stand out above the rest? The Expressi coffee machine is backed by a two year manufacturer s warranty. Check the power supply, e.g. plug, voltage, fuse and mains switch. Why does my machine not brew any coffee or milk? Water tank empty? Make sure the water tank contains enough water. If not, fill it up again. Have you inserted a capsule? It may be that you've forgotten to insert a capsule. Insert a new capsule and close the lever. Is the lever closed? Is the capsule not in straight? Check that the lever is fully closed. If a capsule has not been inserted properly it may have become tilted and the lever cannot close completely. In this case, remove the capsule and either take it out of the spent capsule container and insert it again or use a new one if the other has become damaged. What can I do if my drink is not hot enough? Is the cup too cold? If your cup is very cold, your drink may cool down too quickly. If so, heat up the cup with hot water beforehand Why can't I close the lever? Is the capsule inserted crooked? If a capsule has not been inserted properly it may have become tilted and the lever cannot close completely. In this case, remove the capsule and insert a new one. See above. Is the spent-capsule container full? If the container for the used capsules is full, it can happen that the capsule cannot be ejected properly. Inserting a new capsule can lead to jamming, preventing the lever from closing properly. Empty the spent-capsule container. Why does water run out of my machine when I open the lever? When the lever is opened, the remaining water runs out of the system into the spent-capsule container. If you have already removed the drip tray and spent-capsule container before opening the lever, the water will run onto the base of the machine. The water may still be hot, so there is a risk of scalding. You should therefore make sure that the spent-capsule container is inserted when you open the lever. Why does the machine turn itself off? Your Expressi Machine has an energy-saving automatic switch-off device, which comes into operation after five minutes. Can I use my large latte macchiato glass with K-fee Expressi Machine? K-fee Expressi Machine has a height-adjustable drip tray so that it can also be used for large cups, beakers and latte macchiato glasses. Cleaning and descaling K-fee System Preferenza

5 Cleaning We recommend that you clean your machine every day and rinse it after each drink. The machine should be cleaned around three times a month with a cleaner or more often if necessary. Descaling We recommend that you descale your machine about once a month or as required. The frequency will depend on the water hardness. Never use vinegar or vinegar cleaners as they can attack the hoses, seals and gaskets in the machine. A description of how to thoroughly clean and descale your K-fee system machine can be downloaded from the home-page. Cleaning the housing, water tank and drip tray You can wipe the housing of the machine with a wet cloth when required. The water tank and drip tray can be removed for easy washing. Never put your hands into the capsule shaft risk of injury! Can I clean the removable parts in the dishwasher? The spent-capsule container, drip tray and water tank can all be cleaned in the dishwasher, although this may possibly lead to changes in the surface appearance. Where does the liquid in the bottom of the drip tray come from? The spent-capsule container is connected to the drip tray, which is where the remaining liquid from the capsules accumulates. What happens if all the buttons start flashing rapidly? Switch off the machine and remove the plug. Contact the K-fee System hotline. What do I do if the drinks are not being delivered properly? Press the lever right down. If necessary, descale the machine. What if there is a delay in the delivery of the drinks? The machine is still heating up. What if the spent-capsule container is over-full/has become jammed? Try to loosen the spent-capsule container by shaking it lightly. What if the machine suddenly switches itself off after intensive use? If the machine does not have enough time to cool down, it will switch itself off automatically to prevent it from overheating. In such cases, it should be allowed to cool off for about 30 minutes before being used again. What do I do if the programming of the cup-filling quantity does not function properly? Please note the volumes you can select: With the "small cup" button, 40ml 100ml, and with the "large cup" button, 100ml 200ml. Why is the jet of liquid from my K-fee Expressi Machine so uneven? The first time the machine is switched on, the jet of water may be a little irregular. After a few brewing operations with capsules, the jet should become normal. What happens if the "small cup" and "large cup" buttons flash simultaneously? If both the buttons flash simultaneously, it may be that the machine is reacting to a temperature difference. You should allow the machine to "let off steam" by proceeding as follows: Put the machine is in standby mode. Press the "rinse" and "small cup" buttons and switch the machine on. The "large cup" button will begin to flash and the steam release procedure will begin. Note: Please ensure that the machine is only operated within a temperature range of C. Before start-up, the machine should always be allowed to adjust to the ambient temperature. FAQs about the Coffee Capsules What is inside the capsules? Every coffee capsule contains freshly ground, high-quality coffee and is individually aroma-sealed. That is why the coffee only unfolds its full aroma when it is actually prepared a difference you will taste. Can the capsules be used several times? K-fee System capsules are intended for one cup and should therefore not be used more than once. Remove K-fee System capsules from the spent-capsule container after preparing your hot drink and dispose of them with your recyclable plastic waste. How should I store K-fee Expressi capsules? You can keep K-fee Expressi capsules in their original box or in a container of your choice. They should always as stated on the pack be kept in a cool, dry place without direct exposure to heat or sunshine. How long does the coffee remain fresh in the capsules? In our aroma-sealed capsules, the coffee stays fresh many times longer than in conventional coffee pads. Storing them in a cool, dry place extends the shelf life even further. The best-before date is printed on the bottom of the box and on the side of the capsules and is 18 months from production What capsules fit K-fee Expressi System? All capsules with a K-fee System logo will fit into your machine, irrespective of whether they are sold under the brand name of our retail partners or under the name Krüger.
