22 ANALYSIS Five of seven schools already implement an eight period day (Livingston & Princeton) None of the districts reported a drop in college acceptances in Baron s top 65 most competitive schools Maximize teacher/student contact time 8 minutes per class and 40 minutes per week 40 additional minutes per day is equivalent to two additional months of instruction ( 40 weeks/40 minutes) All districts made the change to an eight period day at least two years ago
