Outline Kunming-location Hemp Field trial in 2013 Background and objects Materials and methods Results Conclusions Application status of multipurpose-using on hemp in Yunnan province, China

Kunming-location Hemp Field trial --Background and objects Hemp planted plateau mountain region in Yunnan, 2013 Kunming-location is one of the three test sites for China Hemp Field Trial in 2013 Objective 1) To evaluate newly developed and already registered commercial hemp varieties 2) to validate the crop model

Kunming-location Hemp Field trial --Conclusions Northern hemp varieties are characterized by short, early flowering, low fiber yield. Southern types tend to be tall, late flowering, and have high fiber yield Six varieties growing at 3 different stem growth mode Under high density model self-thinning effect occurred on late-mature cultivars, and optimum plant density in fiber hemp (for yield and uniformity) should be decided according to the varieties traits In Yunnan province low latitude region, Late-mature variety is the key factor for high fiber yield

Multipurpose application of hemp in Yunnan Hemp is grown about 6000 Ha per year in Yunnan (one of the most important areas in China) recent years ~50% for fibre; ~50% for seed Yunnan China

Multipurpose application of hemp in Yunnan Leaves, inflorescence, seeds stalk

Multipurpose application of hemp in Yunnan Hemp Stalk Seed Leave & inflorescence Bast Fibre Hurd Nut Oil Biorefinery Product Textiles Apparel Fabrics Bags, Building materials Fiberboard Insulation Hempcrete, Foods Snacks Protein Functional foods,. Foods Salad oil EFA food Supplement, Pharmaceuti cal cosmetic CBD, Tech-Textiles Cordage Carpeting Canvas,.. Industrial Products Animal Bedding Mulch Boiler Fuel,. Tech-Products Oil Paint Solvents Coating,. Agro-chemical

Multipurpose application of hemp in Yunnan Stalk-- bast fibre 1) Local processing focuses on bast fibre processing for textiles (long fiber, cotton-type short fiber, velvet-type hemp short fiber and other hemp fiber) combed hemp sliver (China-Hemp Investment & Holding Co., Ltd. ), 2) Others: socks, textiles, ropes opening hemp fiber

Multipurpose application of hemp in Yunnan Stalk hurt and whole stalk Due to high cost of collection and transportation, only few which can utilize the whole stem or whole chopped or crushed stem. At present, new development direction is on the way to improve utilization efficiency on them: Paper for cigarette, tobacco sheet, powdered carbon, composite board, growth medium,. growth medium Charcoal Yi nationality traditional torch festival use -nationality culture

Multipurpose application of hemp in Yunnan Seed 1) Nut 2) Hemp oil 3) Hempmilk 4) Others: cosmetics, hempsauce, Chinese medicine, hemp tofu

Multipurpose application of hemp in Yunnan Leaves & inflorescence (new directions) 1)CBD (Cannabidiol) 2)Other:Hand soap Leave & inflorescence extracts isolated CBD Content: 48%
