Brutocao Cellars roots started four generations ago, around a dinner table in Venice, Italy. When the Brutocao family came to the New World and married into the Bliss family of farmers, it was only natural that they would combine their passions and become grape growers and winemakers. Irv Bliss purchased his Mendocino County property in The Brutocao family released their first vintage in Shortly after, they chose the Lion of St. Mark, modeled after the lion on top of St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice, Italy, as their symbol of family tradition and quality. That quality comes from the location of their 400 acres of vineyards in southern Mendocino County.

Page 2 of 11, Coro Vintages (PRESS KIT) The Brutocao family tradition of serving wine at a table means wines are produced with good food and good friends in mind. Today, the family still blends their Italian heritage with their rural agricultural lifestyle to make some of California's finest wines producing 30 wines from 15 varietals of grapes grown in Southern Mendocino County and Anderson Valley. These wines include Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Italian varietals such as Primitivo, Barbera, Sangiovese, Dolcetto, and the proprietary Quadriga, a blend of all four of their Italian varietals. CLAUDIA SPRINGS Claudia Springs Winery was founded in 1989 by Bob and Claudia Klindt in the picturesque Anderson Valley of Mendocino County, California. The Anderson Valley, located 125 miles north of San Francisco, is one of the very best locations for producing fine, cool climate varietals such as Pinot Noir and the white Alsace varietals. The unique combination of warm sunny days and cool foggy nights allows the grapes to mature slowly, developing to their full potential. FETZER VINEYARDS Since our founding in 1968 in beautiful Mendocino County, Fetzer has been a pioneer of California winemaking. Our history is one of ever-evolving quality and innovation and a progressive, hands-on approach to earth-friendly practices. At Fetzer we ve always believed that the more we refine our winemaking practices to be in harmony with the environment, the more we improve the quality of our wines and of everyday life. A grassroots family operation with big vision, in 1978 Fetzer was one of the first California wineries to branch out into Chardonnay, as well as Gewürztraminer and Riesling. At a time when few were serious about whites, Fetzer s vision and dedication came to fruition with exciting new offerings for wine lovers. Beginning in 1984, Fetzer undertook perhaps its most important commitment of all: total sustainable growing of all its grapes. What started as a simple garden project grew into the defining mission for all of Fetzer s vineyards. One by one, as each vineyard committed to sustainable growing, the results could be tasted in the fruit. Vines grew healthy, the fruit rich and clean ideal for the production of premium wines. By 1992, Fetzer had become recognized by wine lovers nationwide for its superb quality and value. Brown-Forman Corporation purchased Fetzer offering the support needed to accelerate its quality goals. The winery continued to grow and innovate, always striving to improve and expand its offerings and strengthen its dedication to the environment, to make its wines and life a little better.

Page 3 of 11, Coro Vintages (PRESS KIT) The creativity and passion of the winemaker have always been central to the Fetzer spirit. While we pride ourselves on technological innovation, we ve always believed that hands-on attention to detail comes first. Fetzer also understands that the quality of our wine and the quality of the natural environment from which it originates go hand-in-hand. Fetzer was well ahead of the curve in embracing environmental principles back in 1984, but for us it was a natural progression we ve always believed we can do better. But we won t rest on our laurels. Now more than ever before, we must continually renew our commitment to the environment and to innovate in a sustainable way, so as to ensure our winery operations are in harmony with our planet. GOLDEN VINEYARDS Golden is the gorgeous byproduct of two individuals who, when spliced together, make for one very passionate winegrower. Let s start with Joe. That s him over there with the wine glass. Joe loves wine. No, seriously the man s a little obsessed. He started a wine club at Stanford before he was old enough to drink the stuff. Once he was old enough, he d make weekend treks up from the Silicon Valley to the wine country whenever he had the time between his high tech start-ups and world travel. There he would explore the surrounding wine country, hang around the wineries, learning the ropes from the winemakers, and occasionally lending a hand during the crush just so he could be a part of the process. Julie, on the other hand, was born in Mendocino County, raised in an old farm house overlooking her family s vineyard. The view from her kitchen window was row upon row of vines leading to the hills beyond. She was a colicky baby and the only thing that calmed her was riding on the tractor with her father. Still works. Growing up in this beautiful county, the vineyard became more than just a farm, it was living calm. Even as her career took her around the world she always felt the tug of the vineyard what it means to be home. Joe and Julie met in Germany when they were both working to bring broadband access to the home. Again, ahead of their time. Joe likes to say he had to move to Europe to find a California girl, "they were all taken over here". Or maybe he was just spending too much time stomping grapes. Whatever the reason, they found each other and now share their passion for growing the best wine grapes in the world in a sustainable, earth-friendly fashion. Success has opened many doors for both Joe and Julie. So when it came time to settle down they had the luxury of setting up the ideal homestead. Their Home Ranch. A healthy, beautiful place to grow their family. To Julie, that meant having vineyards of her own. To Joe, vineyards meant making his own wine and getting the chance to play with big yellow machinery.

Page 4 of 11, Coro Vintages (PRESS KIT) The Goldens discovered Heart Arrow Ranch over a thousand acres of pure Mendocino County located on the edge of Redwood Valley. A little spot of wilderness worth preserving. A ridge and terroir perfectly suited to world class mountain reds. Now Julie has that view of her own vineyard when she looks out the kitchen window. With the help of organic pioneers Jerry Yates and Bobby Fetzer, she and Joe are looking out on a premium Biodynamic vineyard of Cabernet and Petite Sirah part of only 41 farmed acres of the Heart Arrow Ranch (the Zinfandel and olives are up the hillside a bit, behind the Douglas Fir). And, looking due south, they can see Duncan Peak towering over their Fairbairn Ranch in Hopland another 22 immaculate acres of Biodynamic Syrah. They have found their place, and these are more than vineyards. MCFADDEN FARMS Located in Potter Valley, Vineyard, has been family owned and operated since 1970, where Guinness has been farming organically for over 40 years. The hot days and cool nights of Potter Valley give wines exceptional character and flavor; and meticulous care of the soil enables them to produce top quality grapes year after year. A vibrant natural ecosystem, which is essential to maintaining a healthy organic vineyard, is supported by the renowned Russian River and neighboring Mendocino National Forest. Thankfully, not much has changed in pastoral Potter Valley in the past 50 years...it is truly a hidden gem. began producing wine in 2003 after many years selling grapes to top wineries in the Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties. Its first wine label was a pinot gris in which 300 cases were produced and sold quickly. The following year it produced a Riesling and in 2005 sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, and zinfandel. In 2006, chardonnay was introduced to the collection of wines. From the very beginning Vineyard has been organic and has been certified as such by the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). wines state on the label, "made from organically grown grapes." This is an assurance that at no time were any chemical fertilizers or pesticides ever used in the production of the grapes in our wines. The boutique winery makes fewer than 3,000 cases of wine per year and continues to showcase the quality of grapes they ve grown for the past 40 years with every vintage. MCNAB RIDGE WINERY Mendocino's first vineyards were planted during the American Civil War. Italian immigrants penetrated the wilderness and found a place reminiscent of their steep hillside farms back home. John Parducci's immigrant father arrived in the United States in 1912 and sold grapes to home winemakers across the country. During that time, John was learning the art of winemaking from his father, 200 legal gallons at a time, of course.

Page 5 of 11, Coro Vintages (PRESS KIT) John continued making wine at his family's winery until the late 1980s. He purchased the McNab Ridge Winery in 1999 to continue his tradition of making classic Mendocino County varietal wines. John knew the McNab Valley area well, having grown up hunting deer, turkey and wild boar on the ridges and valleys around the McNab Ranch. John's grandson Rich Parducci grew up in Mendocino County like his grandfather. He joined John at McNab Ridge following the 1999 harvest. Rich has a winemaking degree from California State University at Fresno, and held various winemaking positions before accepting the head job at McNab Ridge. McNab Ridge Winery now combines the pioneering winemaking spirit of John Parducci with the new tradition and vitality of Rich Parducci. Rich makes wine in the style made famous by his grandfather, John: complex, approachable, and enjoyable to drink. "We make wine that gets people to ask for a second glass," says Rich. MENDOCINO VINEYARDS Located on in the small town of Ukiah, Mendocino focuses on producing pure and balanced red wine varietals from grapes grown from the unspoiled land of Mendocino County. The farmers, winemakers, and artists who make up Mendocino label are free thinkers who value the land, its people, and the winery s independent lifestyle. The focus of Mendocino is to produce wines that reflect the individuality of Mendocino s 10 unique and divers appellations as well as the genuine, unhurried pace of the area. PARDUCCI Parducci Wine Cellars is Mendocino County s oldest winery producing legendary wine expressing both varietal character and terroir for over 80 years. We believe quality starts in the vineyard. Better wines come from healthier vines. Our winery operates with highest of standards and broad vineyard cultivation practices that support the health of the vines and the local ecosystem as a whole. PHILO RIDGE Welcome to Philo Ridge! We are situated 5.33 miles up a dirt road from the floor of the Anderson Valley. This is where Fred R. Buonanno and Heather A. McKelvey decided to plant our roots, so to speak, and begin our venture into the wine business. We had looked at properties for over four years, until one Sunday evening, we looked in the Sunday classified section of the San Francisco Chronicle. There, under the heading of Farms and Ranches, was a five line ad for a For Sale By Owner. It described a 50+ acre property with a vineyard and room to plant more. We called that evening and made arrangements to meet the next Saturday. After looking around the property for about an hour, we made an offer on the most beautiful piece of property we had seen in our four years of searching. We took possession of the property in August 1999.

Page 6 of 11, Coro Vintages (PRESS KIT) There were already three acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot planted just below the house. The vineyard was planted in 1976 by the original owner of the property, Vernon Rose of Christine Woods Winery. The property was their original winery as well. There were an additional seven acres of plantable terraced land just yards from the original vineyard. We suddenly found ourselves in the wine business. It was quite thrilling and equally terrifying. Neither of us had ever actually farmed. We had read a great deal and we were well schooled in the wine aspect of the business, but we were lacking in that getyour-hands-in-the-dirt, practical experience. One of the first things we did was ask Norman Kobler to be our vineyard manager. Norman has many years of hands-on knowledge about almost everything to do with putting something in the ground, watching it grow, and making wine. Norman planned and supervised the installation of our Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris vineyards in 2000 and has worked hard to continue our education. We decided to become a bonded winery in 2001 and we released our first vintage in January of 2004: 167 cases of 2001 Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. We were very pleased when our first submission our 2001 Syrah won a Silver medal in the San Francisco Chronicle competition. Since that time, we have entered a number of competitions with our wines and have done very well, including 90 points and Editor's Choice for the 2006 Pinot Noir in the July 2010 Wine Enthusiast. We also received Editor's Choice for the Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris in the same edition. Our production is now up to 2200 cases and we continue to ratchet up our production. But we still make each wine by hand in small batches of between 90 to 450 cases each. Our goal is to make great wines that have complexity and exemplify the best their varietals have to offer your palate. Pinot Noir is our primary wine, but we have added Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Viognier to the mix for white wines and Zinfandel, Vino di Mendocino, and Coro Mendocino in the reds. Stay tuned, as our journey continues. RAY S STATION John Ray, former Army Captain and Bear Flag Republic Leader, was an early founder in what is Northern California s wine country. After establishing successful vineyards throughout the Alexander Valley, Ray made his way through the northern stretch of the Russian River, planting some of the very best vineyards in Mendocino County. Ray s Station celebrates John Ray s search for exceptional terroir and his need for discovery. Overseeing fruit sourcing and winemaking at Ray s Station is renowned winemaker Michael Westrick. Michael has been crafting top-tier, Bordeaux-inspired wines for more than 20 years and has directed winemaking for such well-known wineries as Sterling in Napa and Stonestreet Winery in Sonoma. With a hands-on approach and well-honed craft, Michael crafts powerful yet approachable wines capturing the fullflavored, terroir-specific expression of this region at the Estate winery.

Page 7 of 11, Coro Vintages (PRESS KIT) Starting with meticulous vineyard management and continuing through harvest and fermentation, wines produced at Ray s Station deliver the highest of quality. In addition to our well-known Cabernet and Merlot, we also produce a handful of smalllot wines from hand-selected barrels in our cellar.
