ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Considerations 1. The final guarantee is due 3 working days prior to the start of the function. Should the client fail to communicate a final number of guests, the original number of expected guests will be considered the guarantee. Your final guarantee is not subject to reduction. All charges will be based upon the guaranteed number, or the actual number served, whichever is greater. The hotel will automatically set and prepare food for 5% over the guarantee number. 2. All food and beverage must be purchased from the hotel and may not be brought in from outside sources, unless prior permission has been granted by the Sales and Catering Office. All federal, state and local laws with regard to food and beverage consumption are strictly adhered to. Additional fees may apply if group violates this policy and is subject to the discretion of the hotel as to the damages assessed. 3. If the group is exempt from sales tax in the state of Michigan, group must provide the hotel a copy of the completed exemption certificate and ruling letter at least two (2) weeks prior to the groups arrival. 4. Cancellation of function within two (2) weeks of scheduled date will result in a charge of 100% the room rental and estimated Food & Beverage charges. All other contracts issued by the Lansing Courtyard supersede this clause if different specifications are listed for cancelling. 5. All food, beverage, audio visual and other services ordered by the group are subject to the same 20% service charge and applicable state tax.
