Backyard Brewhouse, Walsall - Marynka IPA - 5% Marynka hops are traditionally used for bittering pilsners but have an excellent aroma and when used in large amounts late in the boil give a superb floral spiciness. Batemans, Wainfleet, Lincolnshire - XXXB - 4.5% A fruity beer with peppery aroma and fruity, biscuity flavour. Beeston Brewery, Beeston, Norfolk - Worth the Wait - 4.2% A golden beer with a balance of hops to give a gentle bitterness & a refreshing citrus hint. Buntingford, Royston, Hertfordshire - Twitchwell - 3.8% A golden fruity bitter with a floral aroma and malty / hoppy aftertaste. Brewed with Maris Otter pale & wheat malts, and English Goldings hops, plus Cascade hops from the USA. Buntingford, Royston, Hertfordshire - Polar Star - 4.4% This pale blonde beer is heavily hopped to give a really refreshing citrus-hop kick. Pineapple, Peach & Grapefruit hop flavours abound. Burton Bridge, Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire - Stairway to Heaven - 5.0% A full flavoured golden hoppy beer that is easy drinking for its premium strength. Castle Rock, Nottingham - Harvest Pale - 3.8% Brewed with gently-kilned malt and an aromatic blend of American hops. Its distinct hop flavour leads to a crisp finish.
Castle Rock, Nottingham - Sheriff's Tipple - 3.4% A supping bitter with a distinctive hop character derived from Goldings. Slightly darker than the Nottingham Gold beer which it has replaced. Dark Star, West Sussex - Sunburst - 4.8% A hint of initial sweetness adds to the fruitiness and grapefruit tang of this summer ale without detracting from its clean flavour and rich hop aroma. Dark Star, West Sussex - Festival - 5% A chestnut bronze strong bitter with a smooth mouthfeel brewed as a Dark Star version of Festive, a former Sussex beer from King & Barnes. Dark Star, West Sussex - Revelation - 5.7% A blend of Centennial, Liberty, Cascade and Citra aroma hops by the sack full then dry hopped during conditioning using the Hoptimizer (industrial sized hookah). Dark Star, West Sussex - Art of Darkness - 3.5% Dark malts bring classic roasted flavours with a hint of sweetness from natural complex sugars. A blend of hops adds bitterness, fruit and spice. Dark Star, West Sussex - Espresso - 4.2% A black beer brewed with roasted barley malt and challenger hops. Freshly ground Arabica coffee beans are added to provide a rich and complementary coffee aroma. Elland Brewery, West Yorkshire - Elland Best Bitter - 4.0% A dry and aromatic bitter made with Maris Otter malt and using hops from England and America. Strong on aroma with a bitter finish. Elland Brewery, West Yorkshire - 1872 Porter - 6.5% Rich, complex and dark Porter from an original 1872 recipe, with an old port nose and coffee and bitter chocolate flavours on the palate. Elmtree Beers, Snetterton Golden Pale Ale 5% A pale ale in the traditional style that is initially malty and delicately bittered. The long dry biscuit finish is enhanced by the subtle citrus aromas. Elmtree Beers, Snetterton - Nightlight Mild - 5.7% An old style mild, strong but carefully hopped to allow the malts to flourish. Liquorice hints balance the lasting nutty finish. Fat Cat, Norwich - Marmalade - 5.5% The colour of burnished copper, with a bitter finish from Goldings and Progress hops. Munich and English pale malts add balance and a smooth finish. Fat Cat, Norwich - Cougar - 4.7% Pale ale brewed with American hops. Citrus aromas burst out with a wonderful freshness and lead into a crisp dry finish. Highland Brewing Co, Orkney - Island Hopping - 3.9% American Citra and NZ Nelson Sauvin dominate this incredibly drinkable hoppy pale beer. Gold in SIBA Champion Standard Bitter 2013. Hopback, Salisbury, Wiltshire - Crop Circle - 4.2% A flaxen-coloured, the blend of aroma and bittering hops give a crispness which is delicately fruity, giving way to dryness. Jo C's, Fakenham, Norfolk - Norfolk Kiwi - 3.8% An easy-drinking session bitter made with the finest Maris Otter barley and wheat. English and New Zealand hops give it a unique Kiwi flavour and aroma. Jo C's, Fakenham, Norfolk Bitter Old Bustard 4.3% This russet coloured ale carries warm nutty biscuit flavours coming through a smooth malt body. It is given a delicious hoppy balance with three of England's finest varieties.
Long Man, East Sussex - American Pale Ale - 4.8% Made using only the choicest U.S. hops this triple-hopped APA has a pleasant citrus fruit aroma and characteristic robust bitterness. Nottingham Brewery, Nottingham - Legend - 4.0% A traditional amber-coloured session ale with a flavoursome malt character and lively hoppy finish... a beer that will be talked about for generations. Oldershaws, Lincolnshire - Grantham Dark - 3.6% Every bit as charcoal-black as the name suggests, this is a wonderfully smooth, satisfying and traditional mild. Well hopped, gently fruity with a solid malt base. Ole Slewfoot, North Walsham - Citraville APA - 3.9% Citraville is brewed with pale and aromatic malts and as implied by its name it has been loaded with Citra hops for a peach and tropical fruit aroma. Panther Brewery, Reepham, Norfolk - Mild 3.3% New Beer. A traditional mild ale with a malty chocolate taste and a smooth sleek finish. Portobello, London - Portobello Star - 4.3% Floral and berry hop characters are followed by gentle coffee and roast hazelnut aromas. Smooth in the mouth with a dry astringency and hint of bitter. S&P, Horsford, Norfolk - First Light - 4.1% A light golden beer. The generous addition of cascade hops results in pleasing citrus aroma and deep hoppy flavour, complemented by a lingering bitter finish. S&P, Horsford, Norfolk - NASHA IPA - 5.0% S&P's take on an English classic. A persistent head sits atop a rich amber ale with a well-balanced malty sweetness.
Sonnet 43, Co. Durham - Steam Beer - 3.8% An amber ale with a well-balanced malt and hop aroma. The pale malt and Northdown hops make this beer medium bodied with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Sonnet 43, Co. Durham - American Pale Ale - 5.4% A pale bronze ale with a spicy and peppery aroma. Generous quantities of hops give a fragrant bouquet with a fruity, malty and spicy flavour. Thornbridge, Derbyshire - Lord Marples - 4.0% Surprisingly smooth with light toffee and caramel characters, a mixture of floral and spicy hop notes and a pleasing bitter finish. Tipples, Acle, Norfolk - Redhead - 4.2% Packed full with hop flavours and a great balance of pale and crystal malts. A great all round red/amber bitter. Titanic, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs - Cherry Dark - 4.4% This black coloured bitter uses US and Slovenian hops and is infused with cherries. Titanic, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs - English Glory - 4.5% This rose red beer, brewed using only English ingredients has the poise and balance, strength and guile to defeat any dragon s thirst. Titanic, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs - Plum Porter - 4.9% Dark strong and well rounded, the richness is balanced by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Tydd Steam, Tydd St Giles, Cambs - Barn Ale - 3.9% Refreshing pale session bitter, with a zesty bitterness and a lingering citrus finish.
Tydd Steam, Tydd St Giles, Cambs - Scoundrel - 4.0% Easy drinking amber session bitter, with light malt flavours and light citrus notes on the finish. Tydd Steam, Tydd St Giles, Cambs - Piston Bob - 4.6% A premium amber bitter with well-balanced sweet toffee malt flavours and a crisp, spicy hop finish. Brewed using rare Belgian malts and Czech lager hops. Williams Bros, Alloa - Fraoch (Heather) Ale - 5.0% The Original Craft Beer; brewed in Scotland since 2000 B.C. A light amber ale with floral peaty aroma, full malt character and a spicy herbal finish. Williams Bros, Alloa - Kelpie - 4.4% A rich, dark chocolate ale, the inclusion of fresh seaweed in the mash tun gives the aroma of a fresh Scottish sea breeze and a distinctive malty texture. Wold Top, Driffield, East Yorks - Big Sky Bitter - 3.9% A tawny coloured ale with a clean hoppy finish from the Hallertau Northern Brewer hops and a balanced maltiness from the Wold grown malts in the brew. York Brewery, York - Guzzler - 3.6% A light golden beer with well-balanced hops and malt against a background of fruitiness. Crisp, dry, and refreshing. York Brewery, York - Yorkshire Terrier - 4.2% This multiple award-winning Terrier is a golden coloured premium bitter with a rich, creamy malt and full hop palate finish.
Cider and Perry Burnard's, Banham - Monty's Double - Medium-sharp - 6.0% Medium and slightly sharp, light in body, crisp and clear. A good introduction to East-Anglian cider if you're not sure what to go for. Crone's, Kenninghall - Rum Cask - Medium 7.5% Aromatic rum and demerara sugar notes leading to a sweet initial taste followed by a slightly dry finish. Well-balanced and dynamic all round. Best-selling cider at The White Lion. East Norfolk Trading, Scratby - Norfolk Haymaker - Sweet 6.5% Crisp and clean-tasting truly Eastern Counties cider. Fruity and sweet with a citrusy finish. The UK's easternmost cider, one of Russell's finest. Jonty's, Banham - Red Sky - Medium tannic - 6.0% CAMRA Champion Cider of East Anglia 2013. Oaky notes but generally delicate in aroma. Rich in flavour, but unusually full-bodied and tannic for an East-Anglian cider. Jonty's, Banham - Whiskey Cask Medium Sweet - 7.5% Aged in Irish Whiskey casks. Very full in aroma with a wellrounded oaky body and a rich and spirituous finish. Mellow and complex with a subtle honey tang. Norfolk Cider Company, Hoveton - Kingfisher Farm Cider - Medium Dry - 7.0% Sweetness on the nose belies the crisp and tangy dry flavour of this traditional Norfolk cider. Made by Norfolk's longest-serving cidermaker Stephen Fisher, formerly of Gaymers, establishing himself as a producer in his own right in 1987. Whin Hill, Wells-next-the-Sea - Perry - Medium-Sweet - 6.0% Multiple CAMRA Norfolk Perry Champion. Countless awards grace this newly re-established producer. The aroma is more like a well-balanced pear wine than a cider. Slightly cloudy but relentlessly accessible and sweet enough to entice anyone curious about real cider and perry.
