I am really excited for today s post in partnership with Lipton Tea! Lipton, already a Southern standby for sweet tea happiness, has a brand new line of updated, delicious, multi-sensory teas that refresh standard tea time, creating an exciting and unique tea-drinking experience. Their Amazingly Grey Tea is my new favorite for making cozy, comforting afternoon grey tea lattes. Grey tea lattes are also our go-to whenever we re under the weather. Nothing helps a sore throat like hot tea with warm milk and honey! I can t get enough of the Amazingly Grey bold aromas and unique flavors join forces to put a twist on traditional black tea. I found Amazingly Grey at WalMart and also picked up Cranberry Pomegranate Green Tea and Berry Hibiscus Herbal Tea while I was there. They have so many new options and the packaging is bright and cheerful, which you know I can t resist! You can find the entire line of Lipton Teas here.
I make Grey Tea lattes often during the colder months, especially when I want to carve out a cozy hour for reading, menu planning, or list-making. There s been a lot of list-making going on around here lately! Not so much list checking off as of late (see: Netflix), but there s been plenty to write down. I find myself whiplashing between there s an endless amount of time before we travel and WE RE RUNNING OUT OF TIME to get all these things done. When that starts to feel out of control, it s calming for me to take an hour to just write down all the little things that keep popping up and are keeping me awake at night. Garrett told friends last week that my to-do list has a Table of Contents, which I believe they thought was a joke. Not a joke. I do in fact have a multi-page to-do list that is divided into sections like Nursery/Playroom and Packing and Paperwork and Home Projects and Relationships. I am so fun to live with! At the top of my to-do list for the next few months is rest and restoration. It s been a fun and exciting and, in some ways, exhausting year with many changes. My prayer for the next few months is that I can both wait well and use this as time to rest up for the big changes that are on the horizon (see: bringing home a toddler). When we meet our little one, I want him to have a mom who is calm and rested and running on a full tank, not frazzled and stressed and in a million different places. That has looked like fewer blog posts, saying no more often, and turning down new opportunities and commitments, no matter how wonderful or exciting. It has also looked like an hour each afternoon curled up with a book and a latte.
My afternoon latte habit has been going strong for at least two years now and I just finally took the $15 plunge to buy two latte-sized mugs (they are 16 oz each). Y ALL. Life-changing happiness has ensued. Fact of life: true relaxation happens when you have to use both hands to hold your mug of warm, sweet, frothy amazingly grey tea latte comfort. You can make this at home right now with a few simple ingredients: Lipton Amazingly Grey Tea, honey, milk, and hot water. We ll simply steep the tea bag in boiling water and stir in a dollop of honey. After the tea has brewed for about five minutes, I pour in warm, frothed milk to the top rim of the mug. That s it! To get frothy, creamy milk you need a milk frother (I have this one). You can use warm milk without frothing and you ll have a delicious drink, but the frothed milk fancies things up a bit and I love watching it foam on top of my mug.
So get yourself a latte mug and a milk frother and a box of Lipton s Amazingly Grey Tea and carve out an hour for a little rest and recharging today. 5.0 from 3 reviews Print Amazingly Grey Tea Latte Author: Jessica Wood Recipe type: Drink Prep time: 10 mins Total time: 10 mins Serves: 1 1. 2. 3. My favorite way to get cozy on a winter afternoon! Lipton's Amazingly Grey Tea is blended with foamy milk and sweetened with a drop of honey for the perfect make it at home Grey Tea Latte. Ingredients 1 bag Lipton Amazingly Grey Tea 1 cup boiling water 1 teaspoon of honey (more to taste) 1 cup milk Instructions Place tea bag in a large mug and steep in boiling water. Add honey and stir. Let tea steep for at least 5 minutes. While tea is steeping, heat 1 cup of milk in the microwave until it's warm, about 2 minutes (you want to warm it, but not boil it). Use a milk frother or mini whisk to froth milk then pour into mug. Enjoy! Notes You can still make this if you don't have a latte-sized mug, just adjust the amounts of liquid you use. In general, you want about equal parts boiling water and warm milk. I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions
