Summer Term : No 5 Tadworth Primary Governors Parents Survey The Governors of Tadworth Primary regularly survey parents views to inform them in their strategic, accountability and critical friend roles to the school. This year s survey is being carried out online using a Google link, which will greatly assist in evaluating the results. The survey can be reached via this link or if you are reading this in paper from it can be accessed via a link on the school s website under this week s Tadworth Times. This is the first time we have used an online version, so please bear with us if there are any problems. If you do not have access to the internet at home, the website can be accessed from a school computer or alternatively we can furnish you with a paper copy. Please speak to Admin Staff at the Front Reception Desk if you would like to take up either of these options as the Governors would like to encourage as many parents as possible to complete the survey. Results will be published in a future edition of the newsletter. 25 for wet play games will be given to the class with the highest percentage of returns. Many thanks for your co-operation. Nigel Warwick, Chair of Governors email: info@tadworthps.surrey.sch.uk Mr & Mrs Guy Perkins Celebrate their Big Day! Family and friends, including staff from Tadworth Primary, joined Miss Weeks on Sunday 29 May at St Peter s Church in Walton to see her marriage to Guy Perkins. Miss Weeks had a permanent smile on her face from the moment she arrived at the church and looked lovely in her beautiful dress with bridesmaids in blue including Miss Prophet. Mrs Perkins returned to school this week and will be celebrating her honeymoon during the Summer holidays. Date 10 June 2011 Summer Charity Concert Thursday 16 th June 6.30-7.30pm All parents welcome and school age children as long as they are accompanied by a parent In the School Hall no tickets necessary Come along to what promises to be a fantastic concert celebrating the many talents of children in our school. Singing, dancing and musical pieces aplenty! There will be a collection at the end of the show for The Children s Trust Crocodile Encounters The children in Year 1 had a big surprise when Crocodile Encounters visited recently. The children were so excited, especially when they found out they were not only going to learn about reptiles, but that they could hold and stroke them as well. They were all so brave and everyone managed to have a close encounter. The children also met the beautiful, velvety Boa Constrictor from the You ve Got Talent show, and some were very brave indeed and allowed her to go around their shoulders. The whole experience has truly inspired the children s writing and they have written and illustrated their own versions of The Enormous Crocodile story which are looking absolutely fantastic. New Online Payment System Thank you to all of you who have used the online payment system, I m sure you will agree it is simple to use after you have set up your account. Please can I remind you that we cannot accept credit cards as this is too costly for the school; we have kept the transaction fee as low as we can but some credit cards charge us 2.5% of the transaction and we are not a profit making organisation.
