U.S. Hop Varieties Available Ahhhroma (GHR Proprietary variety currently available in Hopzoil ) Ahhhroma has the highest volume of aromatic oils that we have seen (up to 3.6% total oil), with unusually high percentages of the highly aromatic myrcene (67% of the total oils are myrcene), making it an ideal hop for dry-hopping. Tested in the laboratory, the Lab Technicians proclaimed it having a similar aroma to a Pina Colada. Aroma: The intense tropical fruit, spice and slight citrus notes is reminiscent of a Pina Colada. Alpha-Acids: 15.4 18.8% Beta-Acids: 6.1-8% Co-Humulone: 36-40% Total Oil: 0.8-3.6% Myrcene: 67% of total oils Caryophylline: 8.3% of total oils Humulene: 7.4% of total oils Farnesene: <1.5% of total oil Alpenglow (GHR Proprietary variety) A new, proprietary super-high-alpha / aroma variety, specific to Montana terroir. One of America s most popular aroma varieties, Amarillo was discovered and introduced by Virgil Gamache Farms Inc. Amarillo's low cohumulone content makes it great for bittering. The variety s high myrcene levels account for its pleasant citrus aroma. Aroma: Floral and citrus with peachy notes Alpha-Acids: 8.0-11.0%

It s excellent aromatic qualities have quickly made Azacca a go-to hop for late and dry hop additions in varying styles of beer. Aroma: mango; papaya; orange; grapefruit; lemon; piney; spicy; pineapple; grassy; tropical fruit; citrus Alpha-Acids 14-16% Beta-Acids: 4.0-5.5% Cohumulone: 38-45% Total Oil: 1.6-2.5 ml/100g Myrcene: 46-55% of total oils Caryophyline: 8-12% of total oils Humulene: 14-18% of total oils Farnesene: <1% of total oils Bravo Bravo is a second generation super-alpha variety. It is an excellent bittering variety but showcases pleasant fruit and sweet floral aroma characteristics too. Aroma: Specific aroma descriptors include orange, vanilla and floral. Alpha-Acids 15-18% Beta-Acids: 3.5-5.5% Cohumulone: 28-35% Total Oil: 2.3-3.5 ml/100g Myrcene: 55-60% of total oils Caryophyline: 6-8% of total oils Humulene: 8-11% of total oils Farnesene: <1% of total oils Brewers Gold Wye College in England gave rise to this hops variety in 1919 by crossing Wild Manitoba BB1 with open pollination. Brewer's Gold is primarily a bittering agent and commonly used in lighter style ales, although it works well in lager beers as well. This bittering or late addition hops has a spice to its flavor and aroma. Aroma: Black currant, fruity, spicy Alpha-Acids: 5.5% - 7.8% Beta-acids: 2.5-3.5%

Cohumulone: 36-48% Total Oil: 1.8-2.4% ml/100g Myrcene: 37-40% Humulene: 29-31% Caryophylline: 7-7.5% Farnesene: <1% Cascade Released in 1972, the Cascade was the first commercially accepted American-bred aroma hop with a relatively low bittering value. It is one of the most popular hops for craft brewing and is great for dry hopping. It is characterized as a medium strength aroma of unique floral/spicy with a bittering potential. Cascade is the most used variety by American craft brews. A true Craft workhorse hop. Aroma: Unique floral with citrus notes Alpha-Acids: 4.5-7.0% Beta-acids: 4.8-7.0% Cohumulone: 33-40% Total Oil: 0.7-1.5% Myrcene: 45-60% Humulene: 8.0-13% Caryophyline: 3.5-5.5% Farnesene: 3.0-7.0% Centennial Sometimes called super Cascade ; Centennial has nearly double the alpha profile of Cascade. Many craft brewers today find this to be a favorable variety, particularly with the popular IPA style, because of its balance of aroma / bittering/high oils and lupulin content. It also has an abundant amount of lupulin that is dark yellow in color. Aroma: Medium with floral and citrus tones; not as citrusy as Cascade but has more bittering Alpha-Acids: 9.5-11% Beta-acids: 3.5 5.3% Cohumulone: 28-30% Total Oil: 1.5-2.5% Myrcene: 45-55% Humulene: 10 18.7% Caryophyline: 6.44% Farnesene: 8.1% Challenger Challenger is England s response to U.S. Centennial, developed at Wye College in England. A good all-purpose hop, with balanced bittering and with higher alphas than most English hops, a versatile kettle hop. This hop consistently surprises craft brewers in our trials. The profile is similar to Northern Brewer (a notoriously low-yielding variety), but with better yields for growers, making it more popular and feasible to grow. Aroma: spicy, clean citrusy aroma with an added distinct herbal note Alpha-Acids: 6.2 9.8%

Beta-acids: 4 4.5% Cohumulone: 20-25% Total Oil: 1.7% Myrcene: 30-42% Humulene: 25-32% Caryophyline: 8-10% Chinook Created by the USDA, Chinook was released in 1985. Chinook is categorized as a dual-purpose high alpha variety with an aroma of spicy, piney and a distinct grapefruit and pineapple notes. Popular with both craft and major brewers; thus grown as a workhorse hop. The variety has a good resistance to disease but it susceptible to powdery mildew. Aroma: Bold grapefruit with pine Alpha-Acids: 12.0-14.0% Beta-acids: 3.0-4.0% Cohumulone: 29-35% Total Oil: 1.7-2.7% ml/100g Myrcene: 35-40% Humulene: 18-23% Caryophyline: -11% Citra Citra Brand HBC 394 features fairly high alpha acids and total oil contents with a low percentage of co-humulone. It is tolerant to downy mildew and powdery mildew with good pickability of dense, medium sized cones. Comprised of Hallertau Mittelfrüh, US Tettnang, Brewer's Gold and East Kent Golding. Aroma: Specific aroma descriptors include grapefruit, melon, lime, gooseberry, passion fruit and lychee. Alpha-Acids: 11-15.0% Beta-acids: 3.0-4.5% Cohumulone: 20-24% Total Oil: 1.5-3.0% ml/100g Myrcene: 60-70% Humulene: 7-12% Caryophyline: 5-8% Cluster With its well balanced bittering and aroma properties, Cluster is an excellent multipurpose hop. The variety is the oldest hop grown in the U.S and was one of a few hops that grew until the late 1970's. Cluster has a good resistance to disease. QUALITY Typical Uses: Ale, Lagers, Stouts and Porters Aroma: Floral with spicy notes

Storage: Excellent Substitutions: Galena, Chinook, or Nugget Alpha-Acids: 5.5-8.5% Beta-acids: 4.5-5.5% Cohumulone: 37-43% Total Oil: 0.4-0.8 ml/100g Myrcene: 45-55% Humulene: 15-18% Caryophyline: 6-7% Columbus (aka CTZ ) Also know as CTZ (Columbus/ Tomahawk/ Zeus), Columbus is a half sister to Nugget and is a super high alpha variety. Columbus is popularly used as a bittering hop with an intense, pungent aroma. QUALITY Typical Uses: IPA's, Stouts, Pale Ales, Lagers, Barley Wine Aroma: pungent herbal/citrus with licorice notes Storage: Very poor Substitutions: Galena, Chinook, or Nugget Alpha-Acids: 15-17% Beta-acids: 4.5-5.0% Cohumulone: 28-32% Total Oil: 2.5-3.5 ml/100g Myrcene: 50-60% Humulene: 12-18% Caryophyline: 9-11% Comet Comet was originally utilized for its high alpha acid content and adapability to growing conditions in the Yakima Valley. Commercial production ceased in the early 1980s in favor of newer super-alpha hops, however, Comet has made a recent comeback, finding favor with some brewers in dual purpose applications for its subtle and unique, "wild American" aroma. Aroma: Specific aroma descriptors include grassy and grapefruit, with a subtle, "wild American," aroma Alpha-Acids: 8-10.5% Beta-acids: 4-5% Cohumulone: 34-37% Total Oil: 1.2-2 ml/100g Myrcene: 40-55% Humulene: 1-2% Caryophyline: 10-15%

Crystal Crystal is an aroma variety with derivations from Hallertau Mittelfrueh, Cascade, and Northern Brewer. Primarily grown in Oregon, its aroma is mild and pleasant with a delicate blend of spices and flowers. The variety is versatile and wildly popular. Aroma: woody with spicy and clean floral finishing notes Alpha-Acids: 3.5-5.5% Beta-acids: 4.5-6.5% Cohumulone: 20-26% Total Oil: 1.0-1.5 ml/100g Myrcene: 40-65% Humulene: 18-24% Caryophyline: 4.0-8.0% El Dorado A dual-purpose hop variety with exceptional aroma qualities and high alpha acids. El Dorado was developed by CLS Farms in Moxee, Washington in 2008 and released in 2010. The Moxee Valley is a sub-growing district of the Yakima Valley and has a slightly cooler climate. Due to its cooler temperatures, outstanding aroma crops are grown there. Aroma: El Dorado consistently elicits responses of fruity notes, specifically tropical fruit flavors. Other fruit notes offered have been pear, watermelon and stone fruit. Alpha-Acids: 14-14.6% Beta-acids: 7-8% Cohumulone: 28-31% Total Oil: 2.5 2.8% Myrcene: 55-60% Humulene: 10-15% Caryophyline: 6.0-8.0% Ekuanot (formerly Equinox) Ekuanot Brand HBC 366 features pronounced aroma characteristics and extremely high oil content. This variety bursts out of the spring soil in vibrant yellow and gradually matures to a deep green color by fall harvest. Aroma: Specific descriptors include melon, berry, orange peel, lime, papaya, pine and fresh peppers. Alpha-Acids: 13-15% Beta-acids: 4-5% Cohumulone: 31-36% Total Oil: 2.5-4% Myrcene: 30-45% Humulene: 12-20% Caryophyline: 8-12%

Eureka! Complex in nature, Eureka is dank and resinous with fruity notes ranging all the way from tropical-citrus to dark stone fruit. Eureka rounds out blends and truly shines as a late hop addition. A variety for the "classic hop head," Eureka is one you won t want to miss! Aroma: Black currant, dark fruits, strong herbal notes, pine tree Alpha-Acids: 17-19% Beta-acids: 4.5-6% Cohumulone: 28-30% Total Oil: 2.5-4.4 ml/100g Myrcene: 43% Humulene: 29.8% Caryophylline:.2% Farnesene:.1-.3% Fuggle (US) The variety is one of the oldest hops grown in Oregon and Washington. Fuggle has an English aroma and provides a well balanced bitterness which makes it a great choice for English and American-Style Ales. Aroma: Mild wood and fruit characteristics. Traditional English hop flavor. Alpha-Acids: 4.0-5.5% Beta-acids: 1.5-2.0% Cohumulone: 25-32% Total Oil: 0.7-1.2 ml/100g Myrcene: 40-50% Humulene: 20-26% Caryophylline: 6.0-10% Farnesene: 4.0-5.0% Galena Developed in Idaho in 1978, Galena is known for its citrusy aroma as well as balanced bittering properties. Also, it has excellent storage stability and has moderate tolerance to mildew/disease. Aroma: Spicy, blackcurrant and citrus tones Alpha-Acids: 11.5-13.5% Cohumulone: 36-40% Beta-acids: 7.2-8.7% Total Oil: 0.9-1.3 ml/100g Myrcene: 55-60% Humulene: 10-13% Caryophylline: 3-5%

Glacier Released in 2000 from Washington State University, Glacier is a dual purpose hop. The variety has a low cohumulone content which allows a well balanced bittering properties along with a pleasant aroma. Aroma: soft citrus, very mild and pleasant hop aroma Alpha-Acids: 3.3-9.7% Cohumulone: 11-13% Beta-acids: 5.4-9.5% Total Oil: 0.7-1.6 ml/100g Myrcene: 33-62% Humulene: 24-36% Caryophylline: 6-10% Golding (US) U.S. Golding is the American-grown version of the classic English aroma hop variety which have been cultivated since 1790. Golding is used mostly for its sweet aromatic characteristics. Aroma: Mild with sweet floral notes Alpha-Acids: 4..0-6.0% Beta-acids: 2.0-3.0 Cohumulone: 23-28% Total Oil: 0.7-1.0 ml/100g Myrcene: 25-35% Humulene: 35-45% Caryophylline: 13-16% Idaho 7 Idaho 7 burst onto the scene in 2015 with a sensory profile that reminded some of Mosaic in its multifaceted character. In its complexity, it seems to show pine, tropical fruit, citrus and tea leaf. The high oil content makes it a natural finishing, whirlpool and dry-hopping all-star, where it can deliver most strongly on its complex and powerful charcter. Expect overtones of resiny pine needles with big notes of pungent tropical fruit and citrus (think apricot, orange, red grapefruit, papaya) and earthy/fruity suggestions of black tea leaves. Aroma: powerful aromas of pungently dank balsam fir, juicy fruit gum and red grapefruit. Alpha-Acids: 9-12.0% Beta-acids: 4-5% Cohumulone: 30-40% Total Oil: 1-1.6ml/100g

Jarrylo Jarrylo (pronounced Jar-ril-low) is named after Jarilo, the Slavic god of fertility and springtime. Jarrylo s banana, pear, spice aroma translates perfectly to Pale Ales, Saisons and Belgians. Aroma: banana; grassy; pear; orange; spicy; fruit Alpha-Acids: 15-17% Beta-Acids: 6.0-7.5% Co-Humulone: 34-37% Total Oil: 3.6-4.3 ml/100g Myrcene: 40-55% of total oils Caryophylline: 8-11% of total oils Humulene: 15-18% of total oils Farnesene: <1% of total oils Liberty Liberty was released in 1991 and is likened to noble hops varieties, and comes with a delicate floral bouquet that has essence of spice. Liberty Hops is used in many different fashions and in many styles of beers. It will contribute bitterness at the beginning of a boil, and is used in that capacity often. Liberty is more aggressive on the aroma contribution late in the boil, as it comes equipped with high levels of humulene and caryophylline oil. Humulene provides the earthy spice and withstands heat better than caryophylline, which is known for its essence of grapes, peaches, and vanilla. Aroma: Mild spice with subtle lemon Alpha-Acids: 3.0-5.0% Beta-acids: 3.0-4.0 Cohumulone: 24-30% Total Oil: 0.6-1.2 ml/100g Myrcene: 20-40% Humulene: 35-40% Caryophylline: 9.0-12% Magnum (US) A European bittering hop of Galena heredity developed in 1980. This hop has a pleasant aroma character with clean bittering properties. Aroma: sticky, heavy spice with a hint of citrus tones Alpha-Acids: 12-14% Beta-acids: 4.5-6.0% Cohumulone: 21-29% Total Oil: 1.9-2.3 ml/100g Myrcene: 30-35% Humulene: 35-40% Caryophylline: 8.0-12%][

Mosaic Mosaic Brand HBC 369 contains high alpha content and features a unique and complex aroma profile that translates favorably into a variety of beer styles. It is a daughter of Simcoe Brand YCR 14 and a Nugget derived male. Mosaic is named in honor of the artistic assortment of aromas and flavors it is capable of presenting. Aroma: Specific aroma descriptors include blueberry, tangerine, papaya, rose, blossoms, grass and bubble gum. Alpha-Acids: 10.5-14% Beta-acids: 3-4.5% Cohumulone: 21-25% Total Oil:.8-3 ml/100g Myrcene: 48-55% Humulene: 10-15% Caryophylline: 3-8% Mt. Hood Mt. Hood is an American aroma hop bred from the German Hallertauer variety, and is related to Ultra, Liberty, and Crystal. Crafted in Oregon in 1983 and named after the famous volcano, it offers spicy aroma and clean bittering.
