St Cuthbert s School Lunch Menus Food Allergy Advice Menu for Autumn (2) 2017 Dear Parent or Guardian Regulation, the EU Food Information of Consumers Regulation (EC FIC), which came into effect in December 2014 requires us to provide information on the 14 main allergens contained within our school meals. These allergens are: Celery Crustacea Fish Mustard Peanuts Soya Cereals containing gluten Eggs Lupin Molluscs Nuts Sesame seeds Sulphur dioxide In order to meet the requirements of this regulation we have detailed the allergens in each meal. Where a meal on the menu does not feature in this list it contains none of the 14 main allergens. Peanuts & Tree Nuts We do not knowing use peanuts or tree nuts as an ingredient in our primary school meals. However, where the manufacturer states that an ingredient is prepared in an environment where nuts are used, or a statement similar to this, and therefore May Contain peanuts or tree nuts we have included these allergens in the list. If your child is hyper-sensitive to a particular allergen please contact our office on 01749 672591 or e-mail SCH.395@educ.somerset.gov.uk discuss how best we can meet your child s dietary needs.
