Welcome to Porterhouse The North East of Scotland is home to some of the best farmland, and produces livestock famed for its quality and flavour. We are proud of our farming heritage and our meat s quality is endorsed by the Scotch Beef Club and Quality Meat Scotland. Each and every mouthful can be traced back to Aberdeenshire farms and fields. To allow everyone to experience this flavour and quality, we opened our restaurant, tucked away here at Thainstone, and named it Porterhouse after the cut of steak famous the world over for its flavour and special qualities. After all the care and attention put into rearing the best, be assured that our chefs treat our locally-sourced 21 28 day aged Scotch Beef with the respect it deserves. We are dedicated to preparing and serving the best meat whether it s a succulent sirloin, our signature Tomahawk steak, a rib eye, or even a Chateaubriand for two, we can prepare your favourite cut just the way you like it. Supplied directly from Scotbeef here in Inverurie, our steaks are dry-aged and flame-grilled to perfection, with enhanced flavour in each bite. Our personal recommendation the Tomahawk steak is the first cut from the sirloin and is served on the bone with a rich, marbled texture. A cut owing its name to its hatchet-like appearance, the Tomahawk is thick, juicy, and the perfect choice for a true steak lover. This menu has been curated to highlight the best meat and produce the North East of Scotland has to offer, and features dishes that incorporate only the freshest seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Our experienced team is happy to assist with any questions or dietary requirements you may have. We hope you enjoy your evening with us, and we hope to see you back soon. Bon appetit.
