2 Recipes

3 Apple Crumble Recipe serves 1-2 Delicious, fruity dessert made up of soft Granny Smith apples and a coconut oat crumble. I recommend topping it with a delicious, warm homemade custard.

4 Veggie Roll Recipe makes 4 rolls The veggie rolls are hot vegetable filled pastries that are easy to make, simple to eat on the run and absolutely delicious!

5 Koftas with Yoghurt Sauce Recipe serves 1 A healthy meal with a beautiful finish. This dish is made up fresh lamb and burghal salad on a warm tortilla.

6 Fried Rice Recipe serves 1 Delicious meal you can eat for lunch, dinner or half the recipe for a snack! Healthy, easy and oh so yummy.

7 Pizza Scrolls Recipe makes 8 large scrolls Delicious scrolls with a soft, scone like texture. This product is a healthier alternative as it uses a simple dough instead of pastry

8 Which Recipes were your favourite? Out of all the recipes, I most preferred: -Koftas: The Burgal Salad was absolutely delicious with the lamb, and the yoghurt topped off the dish wonderfully. I made it for my family and everyone enjoyed it. I believe the recipe is a healthy, tasty dish for all ages. -Baked Potatoes- I love baked potatoes and always get one at food truck festivals, and this recipe was a delicious copy of the street food. It is easy to make at home as a last minute dinner (which I did) and remains tasty no matter how many times you have it. -Veggie Roll- This recipe is a delicious way to intake all the needed vitamins and nutrients. It was absolutely delicious and I would make it again in a heartbeat.

9 Which Recipes were your least favourite? Out of all the recipes, I least enjoyed: -Noodle Box: I loved the noodle boxes, but it was not a dish I would choose over the others. I believe I would have enjoyed it more if it were warm. -Anzac Biscuits: Alike the Noodle Box I did love them, but I do have (in my opinion) a better recipe at home.

10 What I ve Learnt

11 Skills Skills I ve learnt throughout Food Technology include: -How to use a gas oven. My oven at home does not require using a lighter and this was a great skill to learn for future reference. -Multiple methods of chopping. I learnt the difference between dicing, cutting, crushing, etc. -The proper way to wash dishes. I did not previously know of this method and I ve found it efficient and effective. Knowledge The main thing I have learnt is the nutrients and vitamins needed to maintain a healthy body. From this I have been taught the importance of calcium and fibre, how to have a healthy snack and which nutrients are highest in which foods. I ve also learnt about the importance of washing food, as well as dishes thoroughly. I will most definitely use this knowledge in the future. Knowing what I should and should not eat will affect in a positive manner what I choose to order at Canteens, cafes, etc. I will also know when I ve had too much or too little of a nutrient and therefore realise what I should eat next.

12 Conclusion Food Technology has provided me with an informal, educational and scrumptious experience. The skills I ve learnt, knowledge I ve gained and recipes I ve brought to life I will remember for future reference. I have particularly enjoyed being able to cook and eat delicious meals and learn how to benefit my body through what I eat. For this opportunity I am grateful to Padua and Mrs. Beesley.
