1 North Shore Tales of the South Seas and remote tropical islands have long created mystery, intrigue and a longing for an escape to their alluring exotica. Don the Beachcomber brought exotic atmosphere, food and, mostly importantly, libations to the United states in the early 1930 s followed by Vic Bergeron a few years later and a movement was born. Following the end of WWII, the Polynesian pop and tiki movement was in full swing. Escaping to, and within, the bar became the thing to do. Lagoon: a shallow body of water separated from a larger body of water by barrier islands or reefs. Concealed within a humble brick exterior lies the North Shore Lagoon, a lost harbor of sorts, one which warrants exploration and invites imagination. Potions from the South Seas, Caribbean, South America and those that may only exist in myth and books, may be found.
