7 WHISKY FLIGHTS Smoke On The Water - $36 [Whisky malted by the misty mires of Islay] Port Charlotte 2008 Islay Barley Region: Islay Distillery: Bruichladdich ABV: 50% Vol. Palate: Toased Bread, White Pepper, Toffee, Sea Spray A single malt Scotch whisky from Bruichladdich distillery that traditionally produce unpeated whisky. Released under the Port Charlotte brand, this whisky was made exclusively from barley grown on the island of Islay and harvested from six different farms. Lagavulin 8 Year-old Region: Islay Distillery: Lagavulin ABV: 48% Vol. Palate: Peat Smoke, Sweet Spice, Vanilla, Oak This 8 year-old single malt was released to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Lagavulin distillery by John Johnston in It was inspired by the visit of Alfred Barnard to the distillery in the 1880 s when he tried an exceptionally fine eight-year-old. Caol Ila 12 Region: Islay Distillery: Caol Ila ABV: 43% Vol. Palate: Ripe Orchid Fruits, Caramel, Grass, Slight Ash Undiscovered by many this whisky has become much prized by malt lovers across the world. Nestled in a hidden cove near Port Askaig the isolated distillery built by Hector Henderson in 1846 has a rich heritage of producing fine malt whisky.

Aged for a further 3-6 months after blending in refill casks to allow its robust flavours to coalesce and harmonize. Mars Iwai Tradition Region: Nagano Distillery: Shinshu Style: Blended Malt and Grain ABV: 40% Vol. Palate: Orange Marmalade, Maple, and Burnt Sugar Cane A blend of 75% malt and 25% grain whisky that has been matured in four different cask types: mizunara (Japanese oak), American oak, French oak, and refill Spanish sherry butts. No. 27 Gold Region: Tennessee Distillery: Jack Daniels Distillery Style: Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskey ABV: 40% Vol. Palate: Rich Maple, Star Anise, Overripe Banana Initially launched as a limited-edition travel-retail exclusive available only at airports duty free, it gained wider release in 2015 due to its popularity. Matured in virgin American white oak casks, finished in maple-wood barrels, and twice filtered through maple-wood charcoal.
