2 Type of construction: Load bearing wall Insulation Ventilation space Subconstruction ti Cladding

3 Load bearing walls may consist of: R/C (concrete), steel, brickwork: full brick, perforated brick, light concrete, aerated concrete, etc.

4 Insulation Nearly all thicknesses of insulation can be used. Ventilation space In Germany: 20 mm. In other countries: National regulations to be complied with!

5 Cladding material A various number of different cladding materials, formats and fixing methods can be used. Systems for visible fixings Systems for hidden fixings

6 Subconstruction The subconstruction has to comply with the type of cladding, its fixing method, the load bearing wall as well as the forces acting on it. Therefore BWM invented and designed useful substructure systems (ATK 100 Minor, ATK )

7 In order to enable stress-free changes in length of the sections due to temperature variations, the sections are usually fixed using 1 x fixed point n x sliding point (n = statically required number of brackets):

21 In a statical calculation all parts of the subconstrction are proved against collapse. Required material /information: Type and format of the cladding material Distance to the wall / insulation thickness Type and quality of the load bearing wall Wind loads / building data in order to determine the wind loads Building plans (views / sections)

22 Mounting plans based on the statical calculation specify the position of the sections and fixings at the building. Example of a facade in Beograd:
