2 Championship News Women Wrestlers Of The Championship On The Mat On the third day of 12th World University Wrestling Championship, which is hosted by Hitit University in Çorum, the women wrestlers fought. The women wrestlers who fought against their rivals in four categories such as 48, 55, 60 and 69 kg on 27th October 2016 struggled to get degree. Since the beginning, the competition has been held with intensive participation and both the participants and the spectators have enjoyed the competitions. In 48 kg category, Allyssa Cleaves (CAN) got ahead of her 6 rivals and won the gold medal. Polish Anna Lukasıak came in the second and Evin Demirhan (TUR) shared third place with Madina Nadirova (KGZ). In 55 kg category, Bediha Gün (TUR) won against her Russian rival Nina Menkenova in the final and came in the first. In 55 kg, Ramona Galambos (HUN) and Michalak Katarzyna (POL) won the bronze medal. The other matches of the day continued with 60 kg wrestling. Canadian Linda Morias came in the first, Gabriela Sleisz (HUN) came in the second and Derya Bayhan (TUR) shared third place with Svetlana Lipatova (RUS). The third day of the competition ended with 69 kg wrestling. Turkish wrestler Buse Tosun won the gold medal beating her rivals. Kseniia Burakova (RUS) came in the second and Bolortungalag Zogırt (MGL) won the bronze medal. The fourth day of the championship will continue on 28th October 2016 in Çorum, the heart of wrestling.

4 About Çorum As everyone knows, Çorum is famous for its leblebi. Leblebi is a snack made from chickpea. It takes around one and a half month processes turning chickpea into yellow leblebi. A roasting pit consisting of firebrick, adobe, pan and mixer is needed in order to make leblebi. It is of great importance to use wood which does not smoke. It is possible to find a leblebi shop in each corner of Çorum. For a long time, enormity of the chickpea grown in that region and mastership in roasting processes in the course of turning into leblebi make Çorum leblebi famous. Chickpea is a plant grown in arid climate. The climatic features of Çorum have enabled the cultivation of chickpea which is ideal for making leblebi. Çorum Leblebi Çorum has always been a popular place with its location on the road linking Ankara with Black Sea. Not giving leblebi as a present to the friends of the passengers passing by the city and the citizens traveling out of city has been regarded as strange. The passengers in busses have made a habit of buying leblebi to eat during the journey. The activities are carried out to introduce and popularize leblebi which has become famous in Çorum. Firstly, leblebi makers gathered around an association and later became a chamber in Within the framework of International Hitit Festival which was first organized in 1981 and traditionalized, leblebi contest is organized. The festival organized between the dates of July ever year attracts a great deal of attention of leblebi shopkeeper, the people from inside and outside of the city.
