2 Royal Copenhagen Ice Cream is a family owned business and has been lovingly scooping Australia s finest ice cream since 1983, when the first store opened its doors at the iconic Manly beach in Sydney. Many franchised stores opened in other Australian states during the following years including the first Royal Copenhagen Ice Cream store in Adelaide, opening in the latter portion of the eighties. Inspired by a love of all things decadent and delicious, the Royal Copenhagen Dessert Bar concept was launched at Henley Beach in 2009 adding to the offerings, a fine selection of tempting desserts and perfectly blended signature coffee. In 2011 our sister stores in Brighton and Semaphore opened, ensuring that Adelaide had even greater access to these delectable treats. Spreading our wings, we opened in Hahndorf and Mt Gambier in Royal Copenhagen stores are owner operated and each store is designed to reflect the exceptional, unique characteristics of our franchisees. We strongly support local farmers and producers and continue to use local ingredients whenever possible. Fresh cream and milk sourced from a local SA dairy (free of palm oil) is delivered to our passionate ice cream makers who inject a lot of love, creativity and skill into each bin of our premium, iconic ice cream. We have travelled the globe seeking inspiration for our beautiful ice cream and dessert creations incorporating many unique local ingredients into our menu. There is, simply, no compromise on quality.
