It s no secret that he s carved out a reputation for himself as a talented jazz pianist. But that s not all Hanzel is now recording under his brand new Label, Black Denim Records. Though his focus is jazz, Hanzel writes and records all genres of music. Most recently, Hanzel has written music for singer/rapper Andrew Floyd (Pretty Boy Floyd) and rapper Cutty Lue. He is currently on the Berklee College of Music track at Tri-C Metro in the Jazz Studies program and will transfer to Berklee in the fall of 2011 where he will major in music production/engineering and film scoring. In the meantime, he continues to study with internationally renowned jazz musician Dan Wall and the Director of Jazz Studies at Tri-C Steve Enos. Jazz is a dying genre in my generation, says Hanzel. Keeping it alive is important to me. Both my grandfather and father are musicians, so I guess it just runs in the family. In addition, I ve always had a love of movies and film. 5 The Avon High football team will look to close out a 10-0 regular season campaign this Friday as the Eagles host Bay. Avon can wrap up the West Shore Conference championship with a win and head to the playoffs as the region s top-ranked team. Last week, Avon travelled to Fairview and beat the Warriors to go to 6-0 in WSC play and 9-0 overall. Add the pork and cook until well browned on both sides. Add the onion, soup, water, pineapple juice, soy sauce and honey to the skillet. Reduce the heat to low. Cook 10 minutes or until the pork is cooked through. Stir in the pineapple. Serve the pork and sauce with the rice and sprinkle green onion on top. Really good. Take care friends.
