2 RADICI DL PRSNT ROOM 01 IMPRIAL FMAL PORTRAIT Palazzo Poli Collection White marble female head of a lady of the flavian-trajans age, with voluminous hairstyle consisting of a dense series of curls overlapped to form a high toupee. On the back a piece, worked separately, is missing, while the hair is styled in fine braids arranged in parallel. The larger than life size and the presence of the diadem suggest that the portrayed character belonged to the imperial family. nd of the I - arly II century A.D.

3 RADICI DL PRSNT ROOM 02 HAD OF DIVINITY Palazzo Poli Collection Small ideal female head of white marble, probably belonging to a statue of deity. She wears a sober hairstyle with wavy locks parted in the middle and gathered in a simple knot at the nape, held by a ribbon that encircles the head. First half of the I century A.D.

4 RADICI DL PRSNT ROOM 03 FRAGMNTARY HAD OF DIVINITY Palazzo Poli Collection Fragmentary ideal head of white marble, larger than life size, probably it depicts a deity with the helmet raised on its head. Below this comes out a head of hair with moves and voluminous curls, separated by a central hairline. II century A.D.

5 RADICI DL PRSNT ROOM 04 INSCRIBD ARA WITH DDICATION TO TH GOD SILVANUS Merolli-FATA Collection Small white marble altar with an inscription dedicated to the god Silvanus by a centurion of the VII praetorian cohort, Lucius Appius Verecundus. The front is occupied by the epigraphic mirror delimited by a molded cornice, while the sides are decorated with a urceus (jug) and a patera (bowl for offerings). The cult of the god Silvanus was related to the rural and rustic sphere but had a certain following in the military context, often associated with Mars or Hercules. I-II century A.D.

Between the shelves/corbels is preserved the only drawer decorated with a lotus flower. nd of the I century B.C. - Start the I century A.D.

The decoration has a rim with a concave profile supported by corbels of quadrangular section, followed by a row of dentils closed by a listel. Before the Roman Imperial Age

12 RADICI DL PRSNT ROOM 11 LMNT WITH LION PROTOM Palazzo Poli Collection Parallelepiped block of white marble, decorated with a lion protome jutting forward on the head and with the high corner of the left side molded. It is probably an architectural element reworked and reused in a decorative function. Roman Imperial Age (?)

Followed by two bands on both sides with plant motifs, closed by two series of pearls and astragali. Second half of II - arly III century A.D.

35 RADICI DL PRSNT ROOM 34 INSCRIBD BAS WITH DDICATION TO HRCULS Merolli-FATA Collection White marble base recomposed with two fragments with inscriptions, engraved and red painted, dedicated to Hercules Conservator by the actors Crescentianus, Florus and Tychius. It comes from the Diocletian Baths and was found in association with a sitting statue of Hercules. II-III century A.D.

The epigraph was placed on a preexisting architectural element. II-III century A.D.

38 RADICI DL PRSNT ROOM 37 FRAGMNT OF SLAB WITH IMPRIAL INSCRIPTION Merolli-FATA Collection Fragment of white marble slab with imperial inscription referring to Septimius Severus, of which are mentioned the appellatives (Ara)b(icus) and Adia(benicus). These are the two cognomina (commemorative of the military victories) taken by the emperor respectively in 195 and 196 A.D. nd II - arly III century A.D.

It is the dedication of a marble monument by Aventinus, tabellarius Augusti (Imperial postman) made for a vow to C. A. Fructuosus, possibly collibertus of his countrymen. I-II century A.D.
