This tomato is known to originate from Mexico, so it s rather unique as it does well in both cool and warm climates. It is excellent for containers. Determinate. 42 days. This crossbred hybrid of the original strain displays the fine flavor and vigorous growth habit of the indeterminate heirloom male parent combined with the female parent's earlier maturity and disease resistance. We all love Brandywine - that wonderful Amish treasure generally considered to be the world's finest flavored tomato. Champion II Hybrid Chocolate Cherry I 62 I 70 (VFFNTA YLCV) If you love the everpopular Champion Hybrid then you're sure to become a fan of this variety. Features even more disease resistance while maintaining the same delicious flavor and timing. Delivers high yields of meaty, 6 to 7 oz. fruits. 11 Indigo Apple I 75 I 76 Italian Goliath Hybrid A cross between Indigo Rose and a red cherry tomato. The unripe green fruit, 2 to 4 ounces, will show lots of purple, which is brought on by sunlight, but will eventually turn almost a true black. Excellent sweet tomato flavor. Indeterminate days. One of our most versatile Goliath's ever! Adds robust tomato flavor to all your favorite dishes. Firm, 8 oz. beefsteak type fruits, with excellent flavor turn from apple green with green shoulders to bright red at maturity. Vigorous plants, with good ground cover, are strongly disease resistant. Japanese Black Trifele I 85 I 72 Jelly Bean Red Hybrid Heavy producer of pear-shaped fruits that are free of blemishes and cracks and range in color from intense black to dark grey blushed with magenta. Jetsetter sacrifices nothing for its early maturity - delivers great "real tomato" flavor in large 8 oz. fruits that are smooth, juicy, flattened globes, with consistently huge yields and good disease resistance. Indeterminate. 64 Days. It is absolutely unique, both for its size and for its bold golden skin and juice, exactly the color of fresh-squeezed orange juice! This giant sets fruit weighing anywhere from 16 to 32 ounces. Slightly flattened, the globes are massive, hanging over the edges of sandwich bread. Brilliant, bright red fruits are easily grown in home gardens for straight-from-the-vine eating. Fruits weigh 3/4 ounce and grow in clusters of up to 20. Heavy yielder. Indeterminate. (T LB) Variety Beef Maestro. This largefruited wonder has all the qualities of a fine heirloom variety--big fruits that are 13 oz. or more, and a pleasing combination of sweetness, flavor and very smooth texture. Indeterminate Prime Beef Goliath Purple Russian I 70 I 80 (VFFTSt)-Goliath continues to bring 'Prime' flavors to the table with this new beef-steak type variety! Large fruits are very flavorful, globe-shaped, green shouldered and weigh 8 to 10 ounces. Perfect for salads, sandwiches and more. 70 Days. Determinate. (AKA Ukrainian Purple) Original stock of this variety came from Irma Henkel in the Ukraine. Meaty, plum-shaped, 6 oz. fruits are 3 to 4" long. A reward of $100 for the largest tomato sent many clamoring to purchase the seed. Sweet, mild flavored, 5 to 7 oz. fruits are excellent for slicing and sandwiches. Indeterminate days. An heirloom from the 1800 s with goofflavored fruits weighing 2 lb. or more. Pink skinned and very mild with purplish-red flesh and an oblong shape. Indeterminate. 75 days. Wins All I 80 I 95 Yellow Giant Belgium Fans of Ponderosa Pink will want to try this offspring of that popular heirloom, developed by a breeder in the 1920s for improved consistency and flavor. Produces moderate to high yields of blemish-free, 1 lb. fruits that are pink, round and juicy. The flavor, like a fine wine, is complex and rewarding - sweet and tangy, but never overwhelming. Robust plants, with heavy cover, resist foliage diseases and blossom-end rot. Indeterminate. 80 days. Over 150 years old, this heirloom is still widely grown for its vigorous vines that produce loads of giant-sized, slightly flattened golden globes, with mild flavor.
