We supply plants to the wholesale plant trade and export. Green Works is also active in plant hybridizing and selection. We are continually searching, also with third parties, for new or improved varieties. Plants from our own nursery Newbiscus Plants are being delivered from our own nursery. Top quality plants because of many years of growing experience. We have gathered all this information and created a growing protocol for growing peonies. This growing protocol is available to customers of Green Works. We also provide cultural support and advise. Sturdy stems with the bloom above the foliage. Adult plant can produce more than 50 flowers. Sometimes there are four colours on one plant. The flower colour of this unique variety is sometimes hard to describe. Flower grows to a good length above the leaves. In the beginning the flowers are antique rose and fade to dark pink as flowers gets older. Height: 95 cm - 38" Color: Pure White This is one of the newest pure white Peonies. Flower is full of flowerpetals that form a beautifull Peony flower. Very nice fragrance. Named after a famous Peony grower. New Paeonia Amabilis (1856). Height: 90 cm - 38" Color: Fuchsia pink Beautiful peony with pink-red flowers. Strong stems. Flower is very uniquely coloured. Paeonia Avalanche (1886) Bloomtime: Late Height: 90 cm - 38" Color: Blush white Large flower, blush white of colour with a couple of red sharp edges in the center of the bloom. Strong stems with healthy foliage. Flower has strong fragrance. New Paeonia Bella Donna (1935). Color: Pink Light pink colour, flower opens to a perfect flower shape. Strong stem, with a nicely shaped flower bud. Flower lightly fragrant. 3

Flower opens cyclamen purple and will turn to a lighter colour when flower opens more. Strong grower and forms large plant. In the spring sprouts are dark purple coloured. Paeonia Big Ben (1943) Color: Dark red Very good grower, has a straight stem with healthy leaves. Produces many stems and is good for cutting. Flower is dark red and strongly sweet smelling. Produces large flowers that open easily. Paeonia Black Beauty (1985) Height: 80 cm - 32" Color: Black - red This peony has very dark stems and almost black flowers which makes the plant very attractive. Flower has a 17 cm diameter. Beautiful variety, does not produce any side buds. Very unique. The most black-red peony. Paeonia Blaze (1973) - mid Height: 85 cm - 34" Flower type: Half double Color: Clear red Class: Hybrid - mid Flower is half double with a beautiful bright red flower bud. This very bright red peony is growing strong with solid stem. Early flowering with large flower. 4

Flowers are very large with 20 cm diameter. Very reliable variety. Grand Champion. Paeonia Bouquet Perfect (1987) Height: 65 cm - 26" Flower type: Bomb Color: Bright pink A very fine variety with perfectly shaped flowers. Has very strong straight stems and is sweet smelling. Excellent for garden use. Paeonia Bowl of Beauty (1949) Bloomtime: Vroeg Flower type: Anemone Color: Pink with light lemon yellow center Upright form with large beautiful flowers on strong stems. Has large flowers of appr. 20 cm (8") diameter. The pink guard petals surround a dense centre of cream staminodes. Hybridized in the Netherlands and a well praised variety. Paeonia Bowl of Cream (1963) Color: White Very large, bowl shaped, white double flower. Top cut flower. Very sturdy stems that support the flower well. Flowers are clear white of colour. Top variety for cutflower production. Good substance, reliable, excellent stem strength and foliage. New Paeonia Brother Chuck (1995) Color: White A double show peony, excellent flower and perfectly shaped. Nicely fragrant. Good stem strength with good foliage. Named in honor of Carl H. Klehm who loved the excitement of the peony. Grand Champion New Paeonia Buckeye Belle (1956) Height: 85 cm - 34" Flower type: Half double Color: Chestnut red Class: Hybride Flowers are deep red to chestnut red colour. Between the dark flower petals are clear yellow anthers, which creates a clear contrast of colour. Large flowers bloom early, which makes this variety attractive. Gold medal winner Paeonia Carol (1955) Color: Dark red Class: Hybride - vroeg Beautiful dark red double peony. Has strong stems with strong dark green large leaves. Strong grower, has good flower production. The flower is unique in the peony assortment. Unique variety Paeonia Charle's White (1951) Flower type: Bomb Color: White Beautiful white peony. Has pure white flower buds and flowers that are lightly fragrant. Strong grower. Flower is bomb shaped and is somewhat lime colored in the center. Flowers one week before P. Duchesse de Nemours. Paeonia Cherry Hill (1915) Height: 95 cm - 38" Color: Dark red A very early flowering peony with dark red flowers. Strong stems with very good length. Produces many flowers New Paeonia Command Performance (1996) - mid Color: Deep red This beautiful peony resembles its name. Very large flower buds with a big deep red flower. Has a very strong stem. New Paeonia Diana Parks (1942) Height: 95 cm - 38" Flower type: Bomb Color: Deep red Class: Hybrid Diana Parks has a beautiful red colour. Flower colour is steady and smells sweet, which is very special to red varieties. The strong stem, makes this variety very good for cutting. 8

Very reliable variety. Grand Champion Paeonia Doreen (1949) - late Flower type: Anemone Color: Pink with yellow center Very unique contrast colours of different shades of pink with a bright yellow center. Leaves are light green with strong stems. Good grower. This exceptional beautiful cultivar has very good growing qualities and has a unique flower. Paeonia Duchesse de Nemours (1856) Color: Clear white Richly flowering early white peony. Very nice smelling and good for cutting. Has white flower buds. This very old variety, over 150 years old, is still very popular. Has a long vase life. Paeonia Edulis Superba (1824) Height: 85 cm - 34" Color: Old-rose One of the oldest commercial varieties from our assortment. This is a very reliable Peony that produces flowers easily. 9

The perfectly arranged flower petals form a beautiful flower. Very nice fragrance. Gold Medal Winner Paeonia Etched Salmon (1981) Color: Pink - salmon Class: Hybrid - mid One of the most perfectly shaped double peony. Flowers are beautiful salmon - pink colored. Flower have nice fragrance. Blooms with large flowers with perfect symmetry. Good for cutting. Gold Medal Winner Grand Champion Paeonia Felix Supreme (1955) Bloomtime: Late Color: Dark red This variety is an improvement of the old "Felix Crousse". Foliage and stem are more sturdy. The flower is mildly fragrant. Good grower and very suitable as cut flower. Paeonia Festiva Maxima (1851) Color: White with red flares Nice sweet smelling peony with large, pure white flowers with red spots in the center. Richly flowering and good grower. A variety from 1851 which is still very popular. Flower has very good keeping quality. Good performance in warm climate. 10

With large double rose shaped flowers that are blush-white coloured. Very strong stems and good grower. Grand Champion Paeonia Francoise Ortegat (1850) Bloomtime: Late Height: 80 cm - 32" Color: Black - red Double black - red peony. Unique colour. One of the most fragrant flowers. Good grower. This very old peony (more than 150 years) deserves to be rediscovered because of its attractive fragrance and flowering qualities. Very suitable for gardening. Paeonia Garden Lace (1992) Height: 85 cm - 34" Flower type: Anemone Color: Light pink This Japanese shaped flower has a soft light pink and light yellow colour with very sturdy flower petals. Produces many flowers and is one of the most rain resistant varieties. Strong grower with nice dark green leaves. Nice fragrance. 11

This variety produces a flower on most every stem. Paeonia Gay Paree (1933) Flower type: Anemone Color: Rose - white An unique peony because of the way of flowering. The flower produces a beautiful contrast of pink and white. Very exclusive flower. Paeonia Gertrude Allen (1958) - late Height: 100 cm - 36" Flower type: Anemone Color: White with light yellow center White flower petals that surround a heart of light yellow stamen which colour toward white. Strong dark green leaves. The clear white of the flower provides a nice contrast against the green leaves. Paeonia Henry Bockstoce (1955) Height: 120 cm - 48" Color: Dark red Class: Hybrid - mid This outstanding peony has beautiful dark red flowers. Good for cutting, strong stems.
