(2) Chateau Petit Corbin Despagne, Saint Emilion Grand Cru(Merlot/Cabernet Franc) Classic Bordeaux with cool plum and blackberry fruits, a lovely touch of black pepper and a dry, smooth finish. (3) Chateau du Moulin Rouge, Haut Médoc (Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon) Attractive and balanced, this has light tannins and fresh black currant fruitiness. (4) Chateau Grange-Neuve, Pomerol (Merlot) Beautiful balance between elegance and power. Excellent Merlot qualities with delicate tannins and hints of red fruits and truffles. An excellent well-structured wine with a prominent gamey nose, plump and very stylish. FRANCE LANGUEDOC (10) Croix des Vents Merlot, IGP Pays d Oc Nose shows a lot of fruit, red berries. The structure is intense but not aggressive, length is impressive. (11) Chateau L Esparrou Cotes du Roussillon, Cuvée Bisconte (Syrah/Grenache/Carignan) Plenty of ripe fruit and a touch of oak with a lovely elegance and lightness. (12) Corbieres Sainte-Marie Des Crozes, Les Pipelettes (Syrah/Mourvedre/Grenache) Very fresh in the mouth with a hint of sweetness. Perfectly balanced by acidity. FRANCE RHONE (13) Les Deux Cols, Côtes du Rhône `Cuvée d`alizée`(grenache/syrah) Notes of red and black cherries and wild Mediterranean herbs. A silky texture and Cinsault s vibrant freshness. (14) Chateau Pesquie, Ventoux `Les Terrasses`(Grenache/Syrah/Mourvèdre) Intense nose with spicy pepper notes and red berries. Very well-balanced palate and offering round tannins, fresh berries and some floral and spicy flavours. (15) La Syrah d`ogier IGP, Collines Rhondaniennes, Domaine Ogier D`Apuis (Grenache/Syrah) Syrah aromas of dark berries, olive, pipe tobacco and violet, with a peppery finish. (16) Domaine Chante Cigale, Châteauneuf du Pape (Grenache/ Mourvèdre) Aromas of black fruits combined with violets; a long, silky mouthfeel. Ample and structured. FRANCE SOUTH WEST (17) Malbec du Clos, Jean Luc Baldes Elegant, generous aromas of dark fruits on the nose with a rich, smooth and fruity palate.

(20) Rioja Crianza, Luis Canas Elegant, full-flavoured wine with supple dark cherry fruits, hints of sweet oak and a beautifully smooth finish. (21) La Báscula, Malabarista, Navarra, Spain 2013 (Tempranillo/Garnacha) A juicy, authentic wine from the Navarra region. Spicy with plenty of black berry fruit with attractive vanilla and chocolate notes. (22) Bodegas Valtravieso Oak Aged, Ribera del Duero (Verdejo) Fresh fruit with floral notes and a touch of minty herbs. Potent and quite tasty, very fruity, great length and a pleasant, slightly bitter finish. ITALY (23) Il Bucco Montepulciano d`abruzzo Packed with an abundance of sweet dark red cherry fruits and a nice kick on the finish. (24) Chianti Superiore, Santa Christina, Tuscany (Sangiovese) Rich, complex, fruity and ripe aromas, round and fragrant on the palate giving an aromatic and persistent finish. (25) Ca di Ponti Nero d Avola, Sicily, Italy This juicy, approachable Nero d Avola has a ripe black cherry and plum fruit palate offset by tangy acidity and a hint of smokiness reminiscent of Syrah. (26) Valpolicella Superiore, Zenato, Veneto Delicious ripe, rounded cherry and blackcurrant fruits with a beautifully smooth finish.

A smooth palate with soft supple tannins. (28) Chalk Hill, Luna Shiraz, McLaren Vale The nose shows fragrant, ripe berry flavours lifted by exotic spicy notes. Generous complex fruit flavours. NEW ZEALAND (29) The Edge Pinot Noir, Martinborough This wine displays brilliant ripe cherry and plum flavours. Full bodied with great backbone and a lingering finish. CHILE (30) Crucero, Cabernet Sauvignon Ripe blackcurrants, black cherries and raspberries all come to mind as you sip this fruity, easy-drinking Cabernet. (31) Eco Organic Pinot Noir, Casablanca Valley Aromas of berries, sweet vanilla and soft, floral notes. The palate is fruity with a velvety texture. ARGENTINA (32) Organic Malbec, Domaine Bousquet, Mendoza An aromatic, heady bouquet of raspberry, bitter chocolate and spice leads to a juicy and rich palate with layers of lush black cherry, mocha and mineral. (33) Renacer Punto Final Malbec Classico, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza Aromas of marinated meat, plum and blackberry. Saturated heavy and modern up-front fruit fully ripened and beautifully structured. (34) Los Andes Malbec Hand-harvested Malbec grapes from old vines give dense, fruity flavours of blackberries and black cherries, while ageing in oak barrels gives overtones of woodsmoke and vanilla.

Ripe tannins and sustaining acid give some structure to the wine. Strongly recommended. (36) Diemersfontein, Pinotage, Wellington On the nose distinct coffee, rich dark chocolate and baked plums. This unique style of Pinotage is a perfect accompaniment to salmon, roast venison and even chocolate mousse.

White flowers on the nose carry on to the palate. A fresh, harmonious, concentrated palate giving real ageing potential. (39) Touraine Sauvignon, Domaine a Deux Passion fruit on the nose leads to complex aromas dominated by citrus. SPAIN (48) Eylo, Bodegas Eylo, DO Rueda (Verdejo) Aromas of freshly peeled oranges and tropical fruit. Rich, crisp palate with a great mouthfeel; tree fruit flavours and a touch of orange zest. (49) Albariño, Atlantic Way, DO Rías Baixas Delicious lime and mineral character. Good acidity and a nice balance. ITALY (50) Ara Della Valle Pinot Grigio A fruity Pinot Grigio with good body and subtle scents of red apple and hazelnuts. Extended lees ageing has created a rich and finely textured palate with great fruit intensity.
