1 TO: Carl s Jr. Franchisees FROM: Kathy Johnson Product Marketing Director DATE: November 6, 2012 SUBJECT: Company Price Increase November 14 Overview: On Wednesday, November 14, all company restaurants will be taking the following price changes on Carl s Jr. menu items. These changes are effective on Wednesday, November 14, The weight impact on overall pricing is approximately 1.00%. Please note for Company restaurants the price of The Big Carl is increasing on the menuboard only on Nov. 14, as Company units will continue to promote The $5 Big Carl on the windows and roof banners. For restaurants selling Hardee s Made from Scratch Biscuits the following price changes will take place: Company price changes for Hardee s Made from Scratch Biscuits menu items will be made based on DMA for restaurants in the Standard, Freeway and Specialty price groups. DMAs changing Biscuit pricing within those pricing groups are Santa Barbara, Bakersfield and Los Angeles only. The Spokane DMA will also follow these price changes. The newer company Biscuit markets of Fresno, San Diego and Sacramento will not change their Biscuit pricing at this time. The Salt Lake City and Texas pricing groups will have specific price changes as noted on the following pages, while the Portland restaurants within the Oregon/Washington price group will take price increases on a few Biscuit items. As always, Franchisees are free to set their own pricing. Please review the company pricing and develop your own pricing as desired. Franchisees supported by CKE Data Management who wish to take a price increase should complete the attached form and fax back as directed. Download details will be confirmed by CKE Data Management upon receipt. Also attached is a list of price stickers for Franchisees that may need to order for their restaurants.
