2 LE MERIDIEN SOUR Sours were officially mentioned for the first time in the newspaper the Morning Sun in February 1810 and were described as mixed drinks containing a base liquor, lemon or lime juice, and a sweetener. Egg whites are also included in some sours. Our signature Silantro Sour is a locally inspired drink, awarded best drink in an international competition in

3 MOSCOW MULE The mule was born in Manhattan but stalled on the West Coast for the duration. The birthplace of Little Moscow was in New York s Chatham Hotel. That was back in 1941 when the first carload of Jack Morgan s Cock n Bull ginger beer was railing over the plains to give New Yorkers a happy surprise. 2

4 VODKA Wasabi Mule ½ tsp. wasabi, 5 drops fresh ginger tears, 2cl lemon juice, 2cl simple syrup, 6cl vodka. GIN Dutchman s Daiquiri 2cl lemon juice, 2cl sugar syrup, ½ muddled chili pepper, 5cl gin. Beetle Roots 1,5cl lemon juice, 1,5cl beetroot syrup, 2cl Martini Dry, 4cl vodka, 1cl pasteurized egg white. Nature s Blessing 5 strawberries, 3 slices ginger, 2cl lemon juice, 2cl maple syrup, 5cl gin. 3

5 DISCOVERY This cocktail contains a little secret recipe of our mixologist that you can add yourself to your drink at your discretion. 4

6 THE LITTLE QUARTER Inspired from a cocktail creation at the famous bar The Little Quarter in Stockholm by Bjorn Kjollberg; Tequila Maestro and humble friend. We twisted it a little as we like it better slightly spicy. 5

7 INFUSED GIN & TONIC The Gin & Tonic was introduced by the army of the British East India Company in India. In India and other tropical regions, malaria was a persistent problem. In the 1700s it was discovered that quinine could be used to prevent and treat the disease, although the bitter taste was unpleasant. British officers in India in the early 19th century took to adding a mixture of water, sugar, lime and gin to the quinine in order to make the drink more palatable. 6

8 RUM Peppy 1,5cl lemon juice, 1,5cl honey syrup, 1,5cl Triple Sec, 2 tsp. pink peppercorns, 3cl rum. SPARKLING COCKTAILS Champagne Cocktail 1tsp powder sugar, 1 dash classic bitters, 1 dash brandy, top up with prosecco. Rum Crusta 1,5cl lime juice, 1,5cl maraschino liqueur, 1,5cl De Kuyper Triple Sec, 3cl rum. The Lanesborough 1,5cl Grand Marnier Rouge, 2cl cranberry juice, 1 fresh passion fruit, top up with champagne. 7

9 ELDERFLOWER JULEP The mint julep originated in the southern United States, probably during the eighteenth century. Several aspects of the mint julep combine to mark its provider out as of the elite, beyond the mere ability to offer a drink: firstly, to have ice meant either ownership of an ice house or wealth to buy ice, an expensive commodity in the American south. Second, the traditional silver (not silver-plated) cup is a mark of wealth. Thirdly, one needed a servant to make and serve the drink, a trusty servant who could have access to your ice house, your whiskey, and your silver, a skilled servant who could produce the properly frosted cup. 8

10 SHRUB-A-TUB GIN As gin was the predominant drink in the 1920s, many variations were created by mixing cheap grain alcohol with water and flavourings and other agents, such as juniper berry juice and glycerin. Because the preferred sort of bottle was too tall to be topped off with water from a sink, they were filled from a bathtub tap. This cocktail adds the contemporary shrub a vinegar infusion of fruit into the equation. 9

11 REPEAL DAY Based on a classic marking the end of the Prohibition Era; an era which influenced the cocktail world as we know it today. It was the 5th December 1933, known as Repeal Day. 10
