2 LE MERIDIEN SOUR Our signature cocktail. This Maltese inspired beverage won the title of Best Drink at an international competition which took place in Sours generally comprise of a base liquor, lemon or lime juice, egg whites and sweetners. As cocktails, these Sours date back to February of 1810 when they were first officially mentioned in the Morning Sun newspaper. 1

3 MOSCOW MULE The Mule was born in Manhattan whilst the birthplace of Little Moscow was in New York s Chatham Hotel. The cocktail was created by one of Jack Morgan s bartenders at his restaurant Hollywood Cock n Bull in The very first Moscow Mule is said to have been served to actor Broderick Crawford. 2

4 VODKA Wasabi Mule ½ tsp. wasabi, 5 drops fresh ginger tears, 2cl lemon juice, 2cl simple syrup, 6cl vodka. GIN Dutchman s Daiquiri 2cl lemon juice, 2cl sugar syrup, ½ muddled chili pepper, 5cl gin. Beetle Roots 1,5cl lemon juice, 1,5cl beetroot syrup, 2cl Martini Dry, 4cl vodka, 1cl pasteurized egg white. Nature s Blessing 5 strawberries, 3 slices ginger, 2cl lemon juice, 2cl maple syrup, 5cl gin. 3

5 DISCOVERY Be surprised and be delighted. This cocktail comprises of our Mixologist s secret recipe, make it your own by adding ingredients at your own discretion. 4

6 THE LITTLE QUARTER This unique beverage was inspired by a creation of tequila maestro and humble friend, Bjorn Kjollberg, at The Little Quarter bar in Stockholm. We added some spice to the concoction to give it that extra kick. 5

7 INFUSED GIN & TONIC The army of the British East India Company created the Gin & Tonic during the 1700s. In India, where the army was based, Malaria was a persistent problem. Whilst searching for a remedy, quinine was found to be an effective treatment and preventative, however, the taste was rather unpleasant. In the 19th century British officers in India began experimenting with the drink and took to adding a mixture of water, sugar, lime and gin to ease the bitter taste. 6

8 RUM Peppy 1,5cl lemon juice, 1,5cl honey syrup, 1,5cl Triple Sec, 2 tsp. pink peppercorns, 3cl rum. SPARKLING COCKTAILS Champagne Cocktail 1tsp powder sugar, 1 dash classic bitters, 1 dash brandy, top up with prosecco. Rum Crusta 1,5cl lime juice, 1,5cl maraschino liqueur, 1,5cl De Kuyper Triple Sec, 3cl rum. The Lanesborough 1,5cl Grand Marnier Rouge, 2cl cranberry juice, 1 fresh passion fruit, top up with champagne. 7

9 ELDERFLOWER JULEP In the early days, several aspects of the Mint Julep combined to signify one s status as an elite. Not only did it mean that one had the means to offer a drink, but, served with ice, meant either ownership of an ice-house or wealth to buy ice, an expensive commodity in the American South during the 18th century. Additionally, the drink would traditionally be served in a pure silver cup, another mark of wealth, whilst one generally required a servant skilled enough to produce the frosted cocktail. 8

10 SHRUB-A-TUB GIN Gin was the drink of the 20s. Owing to this, many variations were created by mixing cheap grain alcohol with water, flavourings, and other agents. The bottle which housed the drink was too tall to be topped with water from the sink and so they often used a bathtub tap. Le Meridien presents its own take on the cocktail by introducing fruit infused vinegar to the mix. 9

11 REPEAL DAY The end of Prohibition was a cause for celebration. This cocktail is based on a classic created at the time when cocktails were back on the menu. The era that followed has had a major influence on the cocktail world of today. Prohibition ended on 5 th December 1933 and is known as Repeal Day, this beverage pays homage to this special occasion. 10

12 BOOZE FREE Almond Syrup Almond syrup, apple juice, fresh lime juice and tonic water. Cucumber fizz Cucumber syrup, fresh lime juice and tonic water. 11

13 MARTINEZ TRIBUTE Steeped in tradition, the Martinez is the evolutionary midpoint between the Manhattan and the Classic Martini. 12
