The residents enjy reminisce magazine, and the stries that are read that bring back memries and tales f days gne by as well as laughter, as we all discver a cmmn thread in thse memries. During Nvember ur residents were entertained by Beth Whitbeck, Tuch f Jy,Larry Bitterman, and Hwie Bartl. Our friends frm Lincln Schl were here dancing and singing away n Nvember 22. We are very lucky t have Mrs. Jyce s Pre-K class cme here nce a mnth t shw us everything they are learning. Our residents enjyed baking grup in Nvember. We gt int fall by making ginger ckies, pumpkin lush, and pumpkin rlls. It is a pleasure t ck and bake with the ladies. Lts f experience at wrk. LOOKING AHEAD TO DECEMBER Happy Hlidays! It is ging t be a busy mnth here at The Terrace as we begin the hliday seasn. There is plenty f entertainment here during December. Lincln Schl will be with us n December 15 th. We will als be sharing treats and singing carls with them that day. Little children and Christmas g hand in hand. They certainly brighten up ur day. We will als be singing alng with a Tuch f Jy, Aarn Karpella, Gabe Verkey, Carl Gent, St. Michael s Yuth Grup and The

2 Newark Middle Schl, and an evening perfrmance by The Fingerlakes Chrus. Our bakers will be busy baking up hliday treats again this year. We keep the vens busy in December baking traditinal as well as new Christmas ckies. On Dec 23 rd the bakers will all get tgether and we will put tgether ckie plates fr all f ur residents. We will deliver plates n the afternn f the 23 rd. On December 9 th we will be visiting the Granger Hmestead t see the beautiful decrated trees and wreaths. In keeping with the hliday spirit, we will be making rnaments, trimming trees, enjying the lcal Christmas lights (evening scenic rides), and much mre. Our Hliday Family Party will be held n Friday, December 16th. There will be lts f music and merriment, as well as sweet treats. Hpe yu can jin us that evening. It is always a night filled with family and fun. We are asking ur residents and family s t decrate their drs. It is a great activity and the residents really enjy walking the hallways and lking at the different drs. A bx will be available in the activity rm with supplies t help ut, r yu may bring yur wn. We will be setting up a dnatin bx fr the Wayne Cunty Humane Sciety. There will be a list attached t the bx with the items that they are lking fr. Thank yu in advance fr yur interest in this. In additin t all f the hliday fun, we will be enjying bing, cards and games, bk club, lcal shpping trips, clring grup and mre. RECIPE OF THE MONTH Classic Eggng Ingredients 5 egg ylks 3/4 cup sugar 1 cup heavy cream 2 cups whle milk 1 1/4 cups gd quality burbn r whiskey 1/4 cup spiced rum Pinch f salt 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp nutmeg plus mre fr garnish Instructin 1. Whisk ylks with sugar until creamy and sugar begins t disslve. 2. Add cream, milk, burbn and rum and stir t cmbine. 3. Stir in nutmeg and vanilla and chill well. 4.
