5 1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 Purpose The CONFIGURATOR program (hereinafter - program) was designed for creating and editing the UNI- CUM vending machines configuration files, that could be used later for loading into UNICUM vending machines to change their settings. The program permits creating a file that changes almost any setting or several settings at once, or even all settings of the vending machine, including prices, which can be changed from the vending machine menu in service mode. In fact, the program has the same settings as in the vending machine menu. But as opposed to the vending machine menu, each program setting has an additional DON T CHANGE value (in some settings it s indicated explicitly, and in the other settings there s only a check-box, activating or deactivating this setting modification). When choosing the DON T CHANGE condition for this setting, it remains unchanged in the vending machine after loading such a configuration file into the vending machine. This permits creating the configuration file that changes a specific setting without interfering with other settings. This is possible even if the condition of other settings is unknown at the time of creation of such a configuration file, and the file read from the vending machine is unavailable. Besides in the case when the setting is in the DON T CHANGE condition, then this setting is not included in the configuration file, which makes the file shorter. And this makes loading faster (especially if the file is loaded to the vending machine remotely via online-monitoring). 1.2 Technical requirements For the operation of the program you need a computer/notebook with a free USB port for connecting the USB-flash drive and an OS Windows XP or later installed. To read and load the configuration file use the USB-flash drive supporting the FAT16 or FAT32 file systems. Attention! Disk drives and flash disks are not supported by the UNICUM vending machines software. Page 5

6 1.3 Program installation To install the program visit the manufacturer website at 1. Then select the SUPPORT item (see fig.1.1). Figure 1.1 Page 6

7 2. On the opened page select the required vending machine model (see fig.1.2). Figure On the opened page in the Software section select the Configurator & Audit item (see fig.1.3). Figure 1.3 Page 7

9 5. By pressing the button you ll activate the process of program installation on your computer/notebook. During the program installation the setup wizard screen (see fig.1.5) will be displayed, where one should press the Next button Figure 1.5 Page 9

10 6. On the next stage of program installation select the program installation folder, by default the program will install to the Program Files folder. If you want to change the program installation folder press the Change button and select the desired folder in the opened screen (see fig.1.6).to continue the program installation press the Next button. If you want to create a shortcut on the Desktop, check the Create a shortcut for this program on the desktop? box. Figure 1.6 Page 10

11 7. After checking the accuracy of installation parameters press the Install button (see fig.1.7). Figure 1.7 Page 11

12 8. The setup wizard will install the AUDIT and CONFIGURATOR programs on your computer/notebook. Program installation may take some time (see fig.1.8). Figure 1.8 Page 12

13 9. After the completion of the program installation on your computer/notebook the screen will be displayed (see fig.1.9), on which one should press the Finish button to exit the setup wizard program. Figure 1.9 Page 13

14 1.4 Program start It s possible to start the CONFIGURATOR program by either of two ways: 1. Via Start \ Programs \ Unicum Vending Machine Tools \ Unicum Configurator menu or from the program shortcut. 2. Double click with the LMB (left mouse button) on any configuration file, read from the Unicum vending machine (at the same time the file will be automatically loaded to the opened program). At the first start of the program, a screen for instant drinks setting may display. In this case, you can press the Cancel button and adjust the names later by choosing the Settings \ Soluble names for Rosso menu (see section 2.3.3). When starting the program via the Start menu or from the shortcut (the first method) the following screen will display on the computer/notebook screen (see fig.1.10). 1.5 Program update Figure 1.10 The CONFIGURATOR program should be regularly updated. Particularly in the cases, when upon opening the configuration file the program informs that some fields from this file are not supported by the current version. The latest version of the program can be downloaded from the manufacturer site (see section 1.3 Program installation). Page 14

15 2.0 PROGRAM INTERFACE The program interface is realized by the following control elements - a program menu (File, Settings, Language), and a panel with parameter tabs. The menu and tabs structure is described in detail below. 2.1 Data representation The vending machine configuration file structure in the CONFIGURATOR program is represented in the form of parameters, affecting the vending machine operation - mainly by numerical values. 2.2 Supported file formats Files in the EVA-DTS format. 1. A general file that can be loaded to any vending machine, CONF_GEN*.DTS, where * - is any set of characters, helping the operator to understand the scope of the file. 2. A file, intended only for the specific VM group. Such file should have a name like Cxxxxxxx*.DTS, where C - is a Latin letter C, xxxxxxx - is 7 trailing digits of the vending machine number, and * - is any set of characters or no characters at all, as in the case of the general file. To read the information from the vending machine insert the USB-flash drive into the vending machine controller board connector (see the Vending machine operating manual) in the sales mode and confirm the request Write Configuration? 16 2.3 Menu structure In this section, all program menu items and their brief (primary) functions are listed Menu item - File The File menu item is intended for controlling the configuration files. Figure 2.1 New (default) - permits cancelling all changes in all tabs and resetting all settings to defaults; New (empty) - permits cancelling all changes in all tabs and selecting the DON T CHANGE value for all settings. In this case, the shortest configuration file without any settings is created. Later on, it can be updated with necessary settings in the corresponding tabs by changing them from the DON T CHANGE condition to some particular condition. This item is very useful for creating short files that change one or two settings. Such files are the safest (because they change the minimum number of settings), transmit faster via online-monitoring and don t require the file with initial settings; Page 16

17 Master / Slave copy - permits copying all settings (including price planogram) from the snack vending machine and/or the drinks vending machine 1 or 2 to the snack vending machine and/or drinks vending machine 2 or 1. When choosing this item the screen with a request of what and where to copy is shown (see fig.2.2). Figure 2.2 Open - permits opening for viewing/editing the configuration file, that was read from the vending machine, or created by using this tool. When opening a new file all the changes that were made, but were not saved, are lost. All settings that are absent in the opened file are changed to DON'T CHANGE. After successfully opening the file the name of the opened file is displayed in the program heading. If when opening the file the warnings about some settings specified in the file are not supported by the program appear, meaning that the program should be updated (see section 1.5 Program update); Merge - permits combining two configuration files in one. This menu item works the same way as a menu item Open (one should also specify the opening file) with the exception of two features: 1. All settings that are absent in the opening file remain the same as they were before executing this menu item (as opposed to this when selecting the Open menu item all such settings are changed to the DON T CHANGE condition, see above). 2. In the program header, the file name is not changed after the execution of this menu item. To combine two files in one do the following: 1. At first by using the File \ Open menu open the main (large) configuration file. 2. Then by using the File \ Merge menu open the short file, with the most part of settings absent (these settings will be taken from the first file). E.g., you have two files: the main file (read from the vending machine) and a short file (which, e.g., changes only the maximum amount of change setting). To combine these files first open the main file and then merge a short file. As a result, you ll have a file, matching all settings of the main file, except for the maximum amount of change setting. The maximum amount of change will correspond with the second file. Save and Save as - these two menu items save all changes in a file. The first item saves changes in a file, which name is displayed in the program header (the file that was loaded into the program), and the second item prompts to specify the name of a file, where the new configuration file is saved (after saving like this the name of the new file will be displayed in the program header). In both cases, a screen will appear before saving that helps to name the configuration file correctly. The point is that later on this file will be loaded into the vending machine from the USB-flash drive, and the file name is very important because the vending machine only browses files with specific names. 18 There are two types of file names: 1. General file, that may be loaded by any vending machine. It should have the name line CONF_ GEN*.DTS, where * - is any characters, helping the operator to understand the scope of the file (the name of the loaded file is displayed on the vending machine screen, and it s recommended that it s no more than 20 characters long). The use of file name without additional symbols is permissible (in this case it has the following look: CONF_GEN.DTS). E.g. the file name CONF_GEN max change 100.DTS is correct (but on the vending machine screen it will have the following look: CONF_GEN max chang...). 2. A file, intended only for the specific VM group. Such file should have a name of Cxxxxxxx*.DTS, where C is a Latin letter C, xxxxxxx - is 7 trailing digits of the vending machine number, which is programmed in the menu item of the vending machines, for which the file is intended, and * - is any characters or no characters at all, as in the case of the general file. E.g., if in menu item of the vending machine number 1 is programmed, then the file for this vending machine should have a name of C *.DTS (where * - is any characters or no characters at all). If the vending machine menu has a number programmed, then the file should have a name of C *.DTS. If you re planning to transfer the file to the vending machine by using online-monitoring only, the file name doesn t matter and the file may have a random name. A screen, displayed at file saving, helps to correctly name the file for the case if the file will be loading to the vending machine from the USB-flash drive. The screen may take one of the three following forms (depending on the initial file name). For the case if the file is named in accordance with the naming rules for general files, the screen will have the following look (see fig.2.3): Figure 2.3 If the file was named in accordance with the naming rules for configuration files for the specific VM group, the screen will have the following look (see fig.2.4): Figure 2.4 Page 18

19 If the file name disaccords with any rules, the screen will have the following look (see fig.2.5): Figure 2.5 Before proceeding, determine, which of these three screens is opened, and for what purpose the file is saved, and then select the required option of saving in accordance with the situation. The option DO NOT CHANGE FILE NAME saves the file under the name that was initially selected. If the third look is displayed (when the file name disaccord with any rules), then this item is recommended to choose in the case if the file is not planned to be loaded into the vending machine from the USB-flash drive. If choosing the SAVE FOR VM option the field for the input of the vending machine number, specified in the menu of the vending machine, for which the file is being prepared, will be displayed. After this, the file will be automatically renamed in accordance with the rules. If choosing SAVE FOR ALL VMs, the file will be automatically renamed to CONF_GEN.DTS After choosing the right option, press the OK button to continue saving. After this the screen with the following warning may appear (see fig.2.6): Figure 2.6 Page 19

20 The screen will be displayed in the case if the file name corresponds with the rules of the general configuration file, but at the same time, it has a setting, changing the vending machine number (a number, programmed in the service menu item). To continue saving anyway press the YES button. A screen may appear, noting that the file with a name, under which the saving is executed, already exists, and the file will be overwritten (see fig.2.7): Figure 2.7 To save file anyway under this name press the YES button. Upon completion of saving a screen will appear showing the final name, under which the saving was executed (and a path to this file). A screen has the following look (see fig.2.8): TouchtheOKbutton. 21 2.3.2 Menu item - Language The Language menu item is intended for choosing the language for displaying the CONFIGURATOR program interface (Russian, English, French, German). Figure 2.9 Page 21

23 Soluble names for Rosso - permits displaying a screen, where one can specify the names of instant ingredients (for drink vending machines). A screen has the following look (see fig.2.11): Figure 2.11 The names specified in this screen have no effect on the configuration file contents. These names are just used by the program for displaying the drink formulation contents for drink vending machines. If this program is supposed to be used for adjusting the identical types of vending machines (e.g., NERO INSTANT only), using the identical ingredients that will be loaded into vending machines in the same order, in this case it's recommended to specify in the screen fields (see fig.2.11) the names of these ingredients (e.g., milk / coffee / chocolate / tea, etc.) If this program is supposed to be used for adjusting different vending machines or vending machines with different ingredients, in this case, it's recommended to specify in the screen fields (see figure 2.11) the numbers of containers with ingredients (e.g. i1, i2, i3, i4 and i5). 24 Product database - permits setting the location of product directories, used by the MOVE vending machine user interface. If available, these directories simplify the vending machine planogram setting, because they permit choosing products from the list (besides the product id's are inserted automatically). Nevertheless, the CONFIGURATOR program can operate without directory databases (NOT MOVE vending machines). Editing planograms without directories for MOVE vending machines is also possible, but in this case, all data should be entered manually. When choosing this item the following screen is displayed (see fig.2.12): Figure 2.12 In this screen, the location of three files can be specified. To disable the corresponding directory leave the field empty. To enable the directory, specify the path and the file name (or select a file by pressing the corresponding Browse button). The Product directory field specifies a file in which the product database is entered (in the MOVE vending machine user interface this directory is named Products.xml and located in the Content folder). The Categories directory field specifies a file which defines the product composition and order on each screen (in the MOVE vending machine user interface this directory is named either Categories.CH.xml - for the Swiss version, or Categories.xml - for all other versions, and located in the Content folder). The Icons directory field specifies a file in which defines small refining icons that can be displayed near the images of the products on the selection screens are (in the MOVE vending machine user interface this directory is named Icons.xml and located in the Content folder). 25 3.0 TABS AND THEIR DESCRIPTION 3.1 VM (vending machine) This tab displays the settings of common parameters of the vending machine Figure 3.1 Page 25

26 1 Snacks number A number of snack vending machines, connected into one chain. For FOODBOX, ROSSO + SLAVE, MOVE - enter 1. For FOODBOX + SLAVE, ROSSO + SLAVE + SLAVE - enter 2. This setting is active even in the DON T CHANGE mode because when it s changed the new tabs with the added vending machine settings are opened (when decreasing the value the tabs disappear). If the DON T CHANGE box is checked, then the tabs are also opened, but in the vending machine itself the Snacks number and Coffee number setting is not going to be changed (it can be useful when creating a file, changing the specific snack setting both in snack vending machines and combined vending machines). To change settings on the vending machine itself, uncheck the DON T CHANGE box (this setting specifies the number of snack power boards the Main Board master controller will interact). For drink vending machines the 0 is set. from 0 to 2 Coffee number 2 Set VM number A number of drink vending machines, connected into one chain (currently there are no models supporting the connection of two drink vending machines into one chain. For all drink vending machines and combined vending machines specify 1. For snack vending machines the 0 is set. This setting is active even in the DON T CHANGE mode because when it s changed the new tabs with the added vending machine settings are opened (when decreasing the value the tabs disappear). If the DON T CHANGE box is checked, then the tabs are also opened, but in the vending machine itself the Coffee number and Snacks number setting is not going to be changed (it can be useful when creating a file, changing the specific setting both in drink vending machines and in combined vending machines). To change settings in the vending machine itself, uncheck the DON T CHANGE box (this setting specifies the number of coffee power boards the Main Board master controller will interact). Random number identifying the vending machine. This number is used for naming configuration and audit files, permitting interpreting this number as the vending machine group number. Setting the identical numbers to different vending machines permits creating configuration files for this vending machine group in the future. from 0 to 1 Input value Set decimal point Defines a number of digits after the decimal point in sums or prices. It s IMPORTANT to specify the value identical to the one set for all connected payment systems (coin drawer / bill acceptor / card reader) in this field. E.g., if the vending machine should operate with copecks/cents (so that the prices are displayed in the X.XX format), this field should be set to 2. And if the vending machine should operate in roubles/dollars (so that the prices are displayed in the X format), this field should be set to 0. from 0 to 3 Page 26

27 3 Currency code control This is effective in the MDB mode only. If it s set, then for each connected payment system its currency code is compared with the one specified in this setting. If the code matches, the payment system is permitted. If not - the payment system is forbidden and a currency code error is set. If selecting DISABLE (or if setting the FFFF value), then the error code is not going to be verified. 4 Returning credit after vend failure 5 Returning credit after Power board failure 6 Multivend Sets the vending machine operation algorithm in the case of the faulty sale - return/don t return the amount written off. It s recommended to select DO RETURN except for snack vending machines when selling products with dimensions, smaller than required for reliable product detection by vending machine photo sensors (see technical data of the specific vending machine). Sets the vending machine operation algorithm in the case of the Power Board connection disruption during the sale - return/don t return the amount written off. When using the SLAVE vending machine the recommended value is DO NOT RETURN to prevent product theft when buying at the expense of snack vending machine power down at the moment of the product falling. NO - the vending machine automatically gives out change after dispensing the product (for MOVE - after dispensing the whole cart). YES - change is not given out automatically, permitting buying other products/drinks; to get change one should press the change giving out button. NO - the information for the customers is displayed in one language only DON T CHANGE - the vending machine setting is unchanged. 9 MOVE proximity sensor The setting permits adjusting the presence sensor behaviour on MOVE vending machines. 10 Time for holding receptacle opened Set for not full Set for full 11 Lids dispenser BY ANY CHANGE - the sensor triggers each time the distance from the sensor to a person reduces, but in this mode the sensor doesn t determine the static presence (it s not going to keep the screen with purchases, if the person stands at the screen without moving for a long time). Other modes display at what distance from the sensor to a person (in centimetres) the sensor triggers (in this case the sensor will continue keeping the screen with purchases as long as the person is in the specified range). The setting is effective for MOVE vending machines only. Specifies a time period in seconds, during which the vending machine receptacle remains open (upon expiration of this time period the receptacle illumination starts flashing, and a second later the receptacle starts closing). The setting specifies two time periods - for the case when the product photo sensors are not blocked (for partially filled receptacle) and when they are blocked (for full receptacle). The setting is effective for ROSSO TOUCH TO GO vending machines only. YES - if the vending machine has the lid dispenser installed. NO - if the vending machine has the lid dispenser installed. 29 13 Snack cell digits For snack vending machines specifies a number of numerals that the customer should enter to select a cell. When selecting the 2 aplhanumeric digits setting one should enter 2 numerals for one snack vending machine and 3 numerals for two vending machines in a chain. In this mode for narrow vending machines the cell numbers , ,, are entered (in the case of two snacks the 1 or 2 numeral is added before the cell number, identifying the snack number, i.e. the numbers , , , , ,, are entered). For wide (LONG) vending machines the A and B letters are used, i.e. the cell numbers 10..1B, 20..2B,, 80..8B are entered (in the case of two snacks the 1 or 2 numeral is added before the cell number, identifying the snack number, i.e. the numbers B, B, B, B, B,, B are entered). To select combo-sales (for non-touch vending machines) enter numbers 99, 98, 97 and 96 irrespective of the number of snacks attached. When selecting the 3 numeric digits one should enter 3 digits in the case of one snack or 4 numerals in the case of two snacks. In this mode for narrow vending machines the cell numbers , ,, are entered (in the case of two snacks the 1 or 2 numeral is added before the cell number, identifying the snack number, i.e. the numbers , , , , ,, are entered). For narrow vending machines the cell numbers , ,, are entered (in the case of two snacks the 1 or 2 numeral is added before the cell number, identifying the snack number, i.e. the numbers , , , , ,, are entered). To select combo-sales (for non-touch vending machines) enter numbers 999, 998, 997 and 996 irrespective of the number of snacks attached. IMPORTANT! The setting of the 3 numerals mode impacts only the input mode and the mode for representing cell numbers to the customer. Cell numbers in all other modes (menu, telemetry, configuration and audit files) are always entered/displayed in the 2 numerals mode. 14 Coffee sel. confirmation The setting is effective only for drink vending machines with an LCD-indicator. YES - to select a drink, push the drink selection button twice (to confirm the selection). 30 15 Set buzzer volume The selection of the sound volume of the vending machine buzzer that activates at the end of the sale, as well as when pushing buttons (for vending machines with an LCD-indicator). The setting has no effect on touch vending machines. 0 - no sound 4 - max. volume 16 Nero keyboard lighting The setting is effective for NERO vending machines only. One of the three settings is permissible: BY AVAILABILITY - the drink selection button will be illuminated in the case when the vending machine has no errors, preventing the drink dispensation reserved to the selected button; BY PRICE - the button will be illuminated if there are no errors, preventing the drink dispensation, and at the same time the current credit in no less than the drink price; BY PRICE WHEN CREDIT - in this mode in the case of the zero credit the illumination of buttons will work as in the BY AVAILABILITY mode. 32 1 Payment protocol Payment system protocol selection. 2 No change For ROSSO TOUCH, ROSSO TOUCH TO GO when selecting NO the display of credit and change button are removed, and a BUY button is renamed to SELECT. For all vending machines when using the external card system (RS232 reader/virtual reader) it s necessary to select the MDB protocol, even if except for the external card system there are no payment systems connected. Receiving coins to cashbox and bills to stacker to the amount not exceeding the amount of change in the tubes and recycler (plus an amount indicated in setting 3). This setting is effective in the MDB mode only. The selection of the requirement of entering the NO CHANGE condition < 10 COINS IN ANY - if at least in one tube there are less than 10 coins; TOTAL < MAX. CHANGE - if it s impossible (not enough cash in tubes and recycler) to give out the maximum change (see setting 3) or if in the minimum denomination tube/recycler there are less than 3 coins/bills; CHF2 - the no change condition is selected if one of the two requirements is met: - if the tube with the minimum denomination is the only one, and the number of coins in that tube it less than 20; - if there are several tubes with the minimum denomination and at least in one of them the number of coins is less than 10; - if in each tube with two denominations exceeding the minimum (but as close to the minimum as possible) the number of coins is less than 10. 33 2 Set allowed value over change If in setting 2 the ACCEPT condition is set: SMALLER THAN CHANGE specifies the amount of cash to be accepted provided the NO CHANGE condition in excess of change available in the vending machine; If in setting 2 the ACCEPT condition is set: TUBES ONLY specifies the denomination of coins. E.g., if it s necessary to give out change, and there are 5.00 and 2.00 coins available, then the vending machine will give out two 5.00 coins at first, and than one 2.00 coin, after which the change giving out will stop (summarily change will be given out, and the vending machine screen will show the remaining 1.00); BY COINS QUANTITY - when giving out change the vending machine tries to maintain the equal amount of coins in each tube (but the priority is to spend coins from the overfilled tubes first, even if a number of coins in such tubes is less than in the other tubes). This algorithm spends coins in the most optimal way, minimizing the need for loading change when servicing the vending machine (i.e. in the first place the vending machine spends coins that are in quantity in tubes). But in this mode the change may be given out by spending more small denomination coins; STANDART (W/DIVISION CHECKING) - is similar to STANDARD (BY COIN VALUE) mode, but before giving out change the vending machine checks the presence of coins in tubes and tries to find a way to give out the full amount if possible. 34 6 Change speed and checking Selection of the change giving out rate: FAST - the vending machine groups coins of same denominations and transmit the coin drawer a command to give out several coins at once (denomination and the number of coins for giving out is specified). This permits the coin drawer to give out coins from several tubes simultaneously. However, in this mode, the risk of error is higher (in the case of coin jammed the vending machine can t determine both the fact of jamming and the number of jammed coins). In this mode, the maximum number of not given out coins is 15 (the coins are grouped no more than by 15). BY COIN (W/CHECK. EACH DISPENCED COIN) - the vending machine instructs the coin drawer to give out each individual coin. In this mode, the change giving out rate is significantly lowered, but the maximum number of not given out coins is 1. This setting is effective in the MDB mode only. 35 12 MOVE change lift limitation The setting is intended for vending machines with a change lift (MOVE). BY VALUE - Specifies the maximum amount that can be lifted by the change lift. When specifying the restrictions, the vending machine will break down the process of change giving out by several iterations, each of which will exceed this amount no more than by one coin, and between each iterations the lift will lift the given out change portion and empty. When selecting the DISABLE - the change will be given out at one iteration; BY COUNT - Specifies the maximum number of coins, that can fit into the change lift and be lifted. With this restriction specified the vending machine will break down the process of change giving out by several iterations, each of which by the number of coins can t exceed this setting, and between each of two iterations the lift will lift the given out change portion and empty. When selecting the DISABLE, the change will be given out at one iteration. When using bank readers with online authorization it s recommended to specify this parameter as 1 minute and 5 minutes. In the process of payment, the vending machine disables the acceptance of cash, which reception could result in exceeding this amount. I.e. if specifying 100, then the acceptance of money will be disabled well in advance (but not all denominations will be disabled), rather than when the credit reaches 101. When the credit reaches 99, then all cash with denomination exceeding 1 will be prohibited. Some ATOL vending machines have no access code (in this case one should specify the (NOT USED) option), and some have (in this case one should specify the (SET) option and input the code that was specified in the POS terminal). For the most widespread POS terminal Pay VKP-80K(Z) specify the (SET) (this vending machine has an access code) and input the code, specified in the POS terminal (which is usually 0000). If this setting is not correct, the POS terminal will not work (and the VM will be blocked). If the vending machine uses an access code, and it s deactivated in settings, then the error occurs: the password is required. Otherwise (the code is not used by the vending machine, but it s specified in settings), then the error occurs, the password is not required. If the vending machine uses the code, and it s specified in this setting, but don t match with the one specified in the vending machine, then the incorrect password error is displayed. 6 Printer baud rate The rate of exchange with this POS-terminal - for all types of POS-terminals. The value is selected depending on the POS-terminal type. 7 Set zeros number added to the end of prices 8 Auto-print Z-reports in the paper 9 Auto-close checking after each vend Specifies the number of zeroes that are added to prices on the right, that are sent to the POS-terminal. Usually, this value is zero, but if, e.g., the vending machine is set up in euro (decimal point 0), and the POS terminal is set up in euro cents than specify 2 (and two zeroes will be added to prices to get prices in euro cents). PRINT - the vending machine automatically prints the Z-read (for ATOL); DON T PRINT - deferred Z-reads will be forming (they will be saved to POS terminal memory to be printed on paper altogether when the operator will return to the vending machine) in the case if this function is supported by the POS terminal. Selecting the (PRINT) is not recommended, because in this case the Z-reads will start printing on paper 24 hours from the moment of shift start, and this Z-reads will fall in hands of occasional customer (and there is going to be nothing to pass to the taxation office). CLOSE - the vending machine gives out the receipt after each sale. This may be useful when the customer left the vending machine without taking his change, and in this case, the receipt will be given out to another person, who will press the change button. 53 10 Cashless 1 type Cashless 2 type First MDB reader (with address 10). This option is intended for setting the write-offs from the cash register equipment reader logging. Prepayment - This type should be specified for readers that are using cards, replenished in vending machines themselves. In this case, the write-offs from these cards will be conducted in the POS terminal as prepayment realization (deposited in the vending machine earlier). This will lead to a refund of the tax, paid earlier when replenishing the card at a rate of 18/118, and to charging the new tax, corresponding to the sold product. E-money 1 - This type is preferably not to be used in vending machines with the capability of paying via the 24U application or SMS (or other methods of payment from the telemetry server) because this type of payment is used for the registration of payment by the server credit. E-money 2 and 3 - Recommended for specifying for teller terminals. In vending machines with a touch screen, the Ethernet is used for exchanging data between the Main Board and a computer and changing some settings in this tab may bring the vending machine to workless condition! For vending machines with a touch screen, the address indicated in the vending machine model instruction manual should be specified. The settings of automatic download network settings. For vending machines with a touch screen, the value indicated in the vending machine model instruction manual should be specified. ENABLE enables the protocol, permitting accruing the credit/free-giving out the product via Ethernet. 13 Set credit control secret code Sets the secret key, by using which the software for accruing the credit via Ethernet is authorised. If the credit control protocol is enabled in setting 12, then this setting should coincide with the filling station POS machine software (if this software accrues the credit rather than controls the sales via the virtual reader). If the protocol is disabled in setting 12 (or if the POS machine software is not using the possibility to accrue the credit), this setting is meaningless. 58 1 Card system type Ethernet based this card system permits operating with various types proximity cards (EmMarine, MiFare and many others), as well as selling without cards (integration with the filling station POS machine software). The reader is selected in the settings below. It s either Matrix III RD-All, connected to the RS232 port (J26 connector on the Main Board), or a virtual reader (card tapping is simulated by the filling station POS machine software via the credit control protocol, which is set up in the Ethernet tab). Card credit is stored at the card server. The very same server makes a decision about permitting/prohibiting each sale and each card replenishment. Communication with server is executed via Ethernet (therefore the Main Board should have an Ethernet option and the Ethernet controller should be set up at the same name tab, where the server address and encryption key/vector is also setup); NFC a special reader designed for writing off money from NFC phones. The reader is connected to the RS232 port (J26 connector on the Main Board), at that the Main Board modification with the R140 jumper installed should be used; ethernet based NFC Bank BANK this is a protocol, permitting connecting the bank (or other) card reader that communicates with the vending machine via RS232 by using the bank non-proprietary terminal communications protocol. The reader (e.g., Cryptera UPT7000 teller terminal) is connected to the RS232 port (J26 connector on the Main Board). If the reader uses the vending machine for processing connection (e.g. the UPT7000 with the bank software installed uses this technique), then the vending machine should have a GPRS modem installed and set up (enabled) in the MODEM tab and the vending machine should be registered at the telemetry server. If the reader has its own SIM card and doesn t use the vending machine for processing connection (or if such connection is not required at all), then the modem usage in the vending machine is not necessarily. In this mode the setting of the card maximum credit in the CARDS tab is important. If this parameter is zero, then when tapping the card the display wouldn t show the credit, and the card buying limit is not limited by the vending machine. If this parameter is nonzero, then when tapping the card the display will show exactly the amount indicated in the setting, and it will be the card writing off limitation (products with a price exceeding this sum will not be given out by this card). 2 Holding of NFC phone Effective only if the card system type is NFC. HOLD means that the phone should be brought to the reader before selecting the product and should be held at the reader until the end of sale. Don t hold Hold DON T HOLD means that the phone should be brought to the reader twice, but it shouldn t be held at the reader: first time before selecting the product (for writing off means from the wallet and their transferring to the vending machine), and second time for taking the change back to the phone after the sale. 59 3 NFC-credit timeout The time setting, during which one should take the change to the phone in the case when the setting 2 has the DON T HOLD option selected. The setting is effective in the two cases: 1. If the card system type is NFC, and the setting 2 has the DON T HOLD option selected. Disable Set 2. If the card system type is ETHERNET BASED, and at the same time the Ethernet reader type is set to MatrixIII RD-All. In the first case the time in seconds is specified here, during which after the sale or the first bringing the phone to the reader, one should make it take a change in time (by bringing the phone to the reader for the second time). If the phone is not going to be brought in this course of time, then all the written off means are lost, and if the vending machine is connected to the telemetry server, which supports the automatic repayment, then the lost means are automatically returned to the phone by air. In the second case, the time in seconds is specified here, during which after the card removing it s considered that the card is still at the reader. The option may be useful for freeing the customer from the necessity of holding the card at the reader all the time, as well as permitting improving the operations with cards, which reading is unstable. 4 Set pricelist number Sets the cashless price list number (1..3), by which the sale of a product using this system is realized. In the case when the system type is ETHERNET BASED, then the specified price list number is used only in the case when the price list is not specified by the server. 5 Bank terminal number This setting is effective only when the system type is BANK. When selecting the SET one should input the number (8 digits), which will be transmitted to the connected terminal/ reader (and in the terminal, this number will be overwritten by the one specified in this setting). When selecting the DON T UPDATE the terminal will not transmit this number (and the terminal will be using the number that was saved to its memory earlier). For the correctness of this setting consult the reader supplier. 6 Bank terminal merchantnumber This setting is effective only when the system type is BANK. When selecting the SET one should input the number (12 digits), which will be transmitted to the connected terminal/ reader (and in the terminal, this number will be overwritten by the one specified in this setting). When selecting the DON T UPDATE the terminal will not transmit this number (and the terminal will be using the number that was saved to its memory earlier). The (Virtual (TCP client)) mode requires no physical readers and cards. In this mode the credit control protocol should be enabled (in the Ethernet tab), through which the external software (e.g., the filling station POS machine software) can emulate virtual card tapping, and the vending machine conducts a sale via the card server (i.e., the filling station software will be controlling which products to dispense, and which not). 61 3.15 Time ranges The tab displays the time interval settings, during which the product may have different prices (discounts, markups), may be available for sale or blocked taking into account the specified settings in the following tabs (Coffee X Plan.) and/or (Snack X Plan.) and/or (Combo-products). The vending machine supports 7 time zones. Each successive interval starts immediately after the end of the previous one. 63 1 Combo-product number The selection of the combo sale number, for which the settings described below are made (the value of this item is not a setting, and it s not saved to the configuration file). When changing the value in this item the condition of all other settings in the tab are changed to the condition, corresponding to the selected combo sale. On the snack vending machine keypad the combo 1 is started by the cell 99 or 999 (depending on the specified cell input mode - 2 or 3 digits), combo 2 - be the cell 98 or 998, combo 3 - be the cell 97 or 997, combo 4 - be the cell 96 or 996. On touch vending machines to select a combo sale the separate page with combo products is created. 2 Combo-product enable Permission/prohibition of the combo sale, selected in setting Disable Enable 3 Name The name of the combo sale, selected in setting 1. The name will be specified in the audit files. For other vending machines, in addition to cells , it allows setting any selection button on drinks vending machines that will start this combo sale. Upon that the drink itself, that was programmed to this vending machine button, becomes inaccessible (it may be a part of a combo sale, but it can t be selected separately any longer). If there s no need to start the combo sale from the drinks vending machine keypad, then the DON T CHANGE setting should be selected. 12 Selection icon The setting is effective only for MOVE vending machines, where the combo sale gives out two identical products and replaces this product on the main screens (for such products the installation of the additional icon is possible). 66 3.17 Autocollections The tab displays the setting of the timetable used for the formation of encashments (and sent to the telemetry server) in addition to encashments formed by the operator (by removing the stacker/cashbox, by loading the coin drawer, by a menu command). This timetable can be useful for vending machines without payment systems (operating in the free of charge mode). For such vending machines, one can set up the timetable, by which all counters will be sent to the telemetry server. 1 2 Figure Automatic collections weekdays Specifying the days of the week for the automatic encashment. 2 Automatic collection times Setting the automatic encashment time by the days of the week. The fields are active if checked. If the box is unchecked, the field is in the DON T CHANGE condition and therefore the time input is inactive. If checked, changing time is possible even if the corresponding day of the week is prohibited in the setting 1. This means that one can change the formation of the encashment, e.g., on Tuesday, even if the formation of the encashment on Tuesday is prohibited. After this, it s going to be enough to simply permit the formation of the encashment on Tuesday, and the formation time will be programmed. 67 3.18 Daylight saving zone The tab displays the time zone settings for the vending machine clock. When selecting the time zone all time zones having the identical rules of changing to summertime / wintertime are highlighted. A list of time zones and their properties are taken from the operational system. If this list (or properties) is irrelevant (outdated), this may indicate the necessity to update the operating system on the computer used for running the Configurator program. Page 67

To set the restrictions select the SET and specify the maximum quantity of products. When selecting YES the vending machine automatically starts giving out products, if after depositing the next coin/ bill the amount of credit in the vending machine turns out to be greater than or equal to the cart sum. When selecting NO the customer should press the BUY button. This button should be pressed even if the automatic start is permitted when the customer starts depositing money and then takes the products to the cart. 6 Mobile payment screen Allows to permit/prohibit the screen, on which the information about paying by using the mobile phone is presented. 7 Set machine code (for mobile payment) In the case when the mobile phone payments screen is prohibited (setting 6), this setting is meaningless. If the screen is permitted, here the value to be displayed on the screen is specified (the customer will be offered to use this vending machine code when paying). 8 Set machine serial number Allows specifying a number, which is displayed to the customer at the bottom of the screen. This number the customer can use for the vending machine identification when consulting the call centre. 9 Set currency The setting permits selecting the rules of the price/credit / coin denomination display on the screen, as well as the monetary sign. 70 10 Set default language Displays the language, to which the vending machine automatically switches every time it returns to the initial screen. The customer can change the language, but after the vending machine returns to the initial screen, the language will change back to this setting. 11 Set user idle timeout Specify the number of seconds, during which the absence of any activities from the customer side is considered by the vending machine as the absence of this customer. After this time if the customer didn t press anything, the cart will start flashing red, attracting the customer s attention, hinting that the cart isn t empty. But if the cart is empty, then after a while the vending machine leaves the current screen and goes to the product selection main screen. 12 Set cart flashing duration Specify time in seconds, during which the cart starts flashing red, attracting the customer s attention (until the customer presses anything on the screen). 13 Set delay before cart deanup 14 Set popup windows displaying time 15 Set switching to attractive timeout After the cart flashing red is over (if during this period of flashing the customer didn t press anything), the screen with the countdown in seconds appears, and after the completion of the countdown all products are removed from the cart. 71 3.20 Snack 1(2) These tabs display snack vending machine settings. To open the Snack1 tab, specify in setting 1 the SNACKS NUMBER on the VM tab (see above), and to open the Snack2 tab, specify this setting in the Figure Optosensor Activation/deactivation of photo sensors, registering the falling product. For MOVE vending machines this parameter is meaningless (in MOVE vending machines the photo sensors are always installed). If the vending machine has no photo sensors, this parameter has to be DISABLE. If the photo sensors are deactivated the vending machine considers the sale as being successful each time the motor was able to complete one turn to zero position. If the photo sensors are activated the vending machine considers the sale successful only if the photo sensors registered the falling product. 72 2 Max cell addit. rotation The setting of maximum additional rotation of spiral for the case when the product had never fallen past the photo sensors after the motor reached the zero position. 3 Spiral roll back (MOVE)/ additional rotation step 4 After big number of vend failure in VM If the product had never fallen even after the additional rotation of the spiral, then the sale is considered complete with an error. The setting is meaningless for MOVE vending machines, as well as for vending machines without photo sensors installed or with disabled by settings or faulty photo sensors. For MOVE - spiral rollback. For other vending machines - step of the additional rotation. In the case of the MOVE vending machine here the fraction of the spiral rotation when rolling back after the successful product giving out is selected. The more this value is, the farther the rollback will be (and the safer distance the next product will be moved inside the vending machine, but the farther it ll be from the lift, the more customers may consider the selection of such a product as being risky). For other vending machines, the step of the additional rotation in the case when the product didn t fall is specified. After each step, there will be a small delay, during which the vending machine will wait for the product to fall past its photo sensors. The additional rotation will end after the total number of additional rotations will reach the value, specified in setting 3. E.g., if in setting 3 a value of 1/2 is set, and in this setting the value of 1/8 is set, then in the process of giving out the product the vending machine will carry out no more than 4 additional rotations, the size of each additional rotation is 1/8 spiral revolution (1/8+1/8+1/8+1/8 = 4/8 = 1/2). This setting is meaningless for non-move vending machines if photo sensors are faulty or disabled. The vending machine actions when reaching the number of faults IN SUCCESSION, specified in the FAILURES NUM- BER field. STOP VENDINGS - prohibition on sales from all vending machine cells. 73 5 Alarm The setting is used for all vending machines with an alarm (option) installed. These settings specify the conditions of alarm activation, and how long it will operate after the conditions of its activation disappear. If by fishing alarm is selected, then the alarm will be activated each time the photo sensors are blocked (and the alarm will be working until they are blocked). If by tilt is selected, then the alarm will be activated each time the stroke/tilt sensor is actuated. Duration specifies for how long the alarm will be additionally working after the vending machine stopped tilting and the photo sensors are unblocked. 6 Door lock system Specifies the presence of the electromagnetic latch of the giving out compartment and a time period, during which the vending machine waits for the product dispensing compartment to be opened after giving out the product (upon the expiration of the time period the lock will be closed even if the compartment wasn t opened). This setting is meaningless for MOVE vending machines. 7 Sensor (1...3) temperature control The setting of the temperature range, going beyond which is considered an error. When specifying identical values for minimum and maximum temperature the errors of the corresponding sensor are deactivated. The ranges specified in this setting should be min. 2 degrees wider than the cooling unit settings (e.g., if the cooling unit is set to retain the temperature of sensor 1 in the range from 4 to 10, then the control temperature should be specified in the range from 2 to 12 or even wider). These settings have no effect on the cooling unit operation. The range specified for sensor 1, together with setting 8 (see below), is used for blocking products, for which the storage temperature conditions are important. To disable such a control one should specify identical minimum and maximum values for sensor 1. Sensor 1 is the temperature at the bottom of the storage bay (cold zone). Sensor 2 is the temperature at the top of the storage bay for regular vending machines or the temperature of the control compartment for FoodBox Street outdoor vending machines. Sensor 3 is the evaporator temperature (an element that cools down the vending machine cabinet). 74 8 Compressor control This setting selects the type of the cooling unit installed into the vending machine. For vending machines (with an autonomous cooling unit, not connected to the vending machine electronics, installed) and for vending machines without a cooling unit select the HARDWARE (DANFOS) option. For the FoodBox vending machines with a cooling unit select the SOFTWARE (TRIAC) option. For FoodBox Street outdoor vending machines (in which, besides the cooling unit, there s a control compartment heater, as well as a temperature sensor 2 that is installed not at the top of the product storage bay, but in the control compartment) select the OUTDOOR (TERMOBOX) option. For MOVE vending machines this setting is meaningless. 9 Shake/tap/tilt sensor Shake detection on idie (Shake detection on vend): Here monitor YES or don t monitor NO the sensor triggering in the standby and sale mode is specified, if along any of the three coordinate axes of the vending machine the acceleration exceeds the value of 1.3g (12.75 m/s2). By default, the settings are YES. 75 10 Wide snack This setting selects whether the vending machine is wide (12 columns) or narrow (8 columns). 11 Additional try to start blocked motor For wide vending machines (FOODBOX LONG) this setting should be in INSTALLED position, and for narrow vending machines in the NOT INSTALLED position. The parameter is meaningless for MOVE vending machines (such vending machines are always wide). Selection of actions for the case when the motor couldn t reach zero position (e.g., because of the mechanical obstruction). If the YES is selected, the vending machine repeats an attempt to make another turn (after a small delay). 78 3 Compressor control The setting of the vending machine cooling unit compressor control type: BY EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE - the vending machine will try maintaining the evaporator temperature within the range, specified by settings; BY EVAPORATOR AND BOX TEMPERATURE (recommended) - the vending machine will try maintaining the temperature at the bottom of the storage bay by using the evaporator temperature sensor readings to monitor the evaporator freezing (to avoid the cooling unit inadequate performance because of the fact that the evaporator is ice coated, which prevents cold pickup from the evaporator heatsink). 4 Set min. box temperature This setting is effective only if the BY EVAPORATOR AND BOX TEMPERATURE mode is selected in setting 3. The setting of the minimum temperature at the bottom of the product storage bay. When this temperature is reached the vending machine stops cooling. If the BY EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE mode is selected in setting 3, then this setting specifies the evaporator temperature, by reaching which the vending machine starts cooling. If the BY EVAPORATOR AND BOX TEMPERATURE mode is selected in setting 3, then here the temperature is specified by reaching which during the anti-frosting cycle the vending machine stops the cycle earlier (in this mode the temperature is specified at which all the ice on the evaporator is positively melted; the recommended temperature is +10 degrees). Input temperature After changing this field one should correct the maximum value at the sensor 3 temperature control in the SNACK 1/2 tab, if this control is adjusted (the value in the control should be min. 2 degrees higher than a value in this field). 8 Fan options The selection of the cooling unit fan operating mode: ALWAYS ON - the fan is always on; ON WITH COMPRESSOR ONLY - operated in the cooling mode only; ON WITH COMPRESSOR AND DURING DEFROST - operated when cooling and defrosting. 9 Control box temperature The setting is effective for MOVE vending machines only (with a small door heating option), as well as for FoodBox vending machines, for which the COMPRESSOR CON- TROL (SNACK 1/2 tab) is set to OUTDOOR. And in the second place, when choosing the CHECK option in this setting the vending machine is permitted to operate at the absence of cups ( with own cup mode ). In this case (when the vending machine had run out of cups), if in this setting the CHECK option is selected, the vending machine after choosing a drink will offer the customer to take his cup in a hand and will wait (for 5 seconds) until the customer takes his cup (after which the making of drink starts automatically). The setting is effective only for coffee vending machines, dispensing cups (i.e. it s meaningless for NERO vending machines). Depends on the availability of the CUP IN HAND SENSOR option in the vending machine. If the sensor is not installed, here one should choose the DON T CHECK option (otherwise the vending machine will start making a drink before the given out cup gets in a hand). If the sensor is installed, then when choosing the CHECK option the vending machine after completing the cup dispenser operation will check whether the customer has a cup in a hand in the first place (and if no it will end the drink dispensing with a fault). And in the second place if a cup is in a hand before the end of dispenser operation, then the vending machine will not wait until the dispenser finishes its operation, and starts making the drink faster. The setting is effective only for coffee vending machines, dispensing cups (i.e. it s meaningless for NERO vending machines). Depends on the availability of the CUP IN HAND SENSOR option in the vending machine. 83 4 Giving spoons BY RECIPE - a stirrer is given out depending on the selected drink recipe settings. WITH SUGAR ONLY - a stirrer is given out only if sugar is added to the drink. ALWAYS - a stirrer is always given out. 5 Water container INSTALLED - in the case of internal water supply from water containers/bottles. NOT INSTALLED - when supplied from the water-supply pipeline network. In the case of the NO WATER error the vending machine tries to reset this error several times by periodically trying to fill the air bleeding tank. 6 Step for sugar Here the amount of sugar dispensed for each programmed unit is specified. The amount is specified in tenths of a second. The default value is 6. This means that if 3 units of sugar are selected, the motor will turn for 0.6*3 = 1.8 seconds. When 1 unit of sugar is selected, the motor will turn for 0.6 seconds. When 6 units of sugar are selected, the motor will turn for 0.6 * 6 = 3.6 seconds. In fact, in this field a degree of the sugar sweetness is specified. The sweeter sugar is the lesser the value should be specified in this field. 7 Debug mode (logging) DEBUG MODE - the vending machine test mode with logging capability for recording the latest (for several hours of the vending machine operation) events on the USB-flash drive. 8 Debug mode (show quantities) 9 Fan speed during beverage preparation 10 Water error auto reset at startup (Nero only) 11 No coffee auto reset at startup (Nero only) Is typically used in the case of vending machine faults and errors for logging the events and transmitting them to the supplies maintenance department. 84 12 Stop water by button YES - a drink pure water can be stopped earlier by pressing the drink button when making; 13 Separate selector output for water NO - stopping is not allowed (a drink will be completely dispensed). In all selector vending machines (Rosso, Rosso Instant, Rosso-5, Rosso Touch To Go-6, Rosso Touch To Go- 2 coffee grinders) a selector with outputs is installed. In the Rosso Touch To Go-6 vending machine, only 5 outputs out of 6 are used. In the rest 4 outputs. Consequently, if the first free (5-th or 6-th, depending on the vending machine model) output of the selector is lead directly into the cup, then this setting should be specified as YES. If there s no such a direct connection, then this setting should be specified as NO. For non-selector vending machines, this setting is meaningless. If this setting is permitted YES, then in the case when in the recipe pure water is programmed (hot or cold instant ingredient with zero amount of powder), then the vending machine will pour water through this selector output bypassing mixers. Thereby, pure water will be poured into the cup without any powder leftover impurities (which are always present in the mixer). 85 14 Abjustable coffee dose The setting is meaningless for instant coffee vending machines (INSTANT). 15 Brewer preheating after last coffee Specifies the coffee group type. The value NO prohibits the changing of the coffee powder dosage in recipes (only one portion will always be grinding, set by the dosing unit setting). The value YES (7..9) activates the mode, where the grinding portion can be programmed in the range from 7 to 9 g (it s programmed in tenths of a gram by selecting the number in the range from 70 to 90). ATTENTION! Before activating this mode, make sure that the group used can brew coffee from 9 g of coffee powder (in order to find out how to switch the group to the 9 g mode, consult the service centre). ATTENTION! Before activating this mode, adjust the dosing unit in such a way that one coffee portion will be 7 g sharp (if the dosing unit permits, e.g., adjusting the values to 6.8 and 7.2, select 6.8 g) for more information contact the service centre. The value VARIO-BREWER (7..15) permits programming the coffee powder dosage in the range from 7 to 15 g (by the number from 70 to 150). But for doing so the vending machine should have the special version of the coffee group with motorised changing of the brewing chamber volume, where the coffee brewing is realized (otherwise when selecting this option the vending machine will show the vario-group error and will stop making coffee-based drinks). ATTENTION! Before activating this mode, adjust the dosing unit in such a way that one coffee portion will be 7 g sharp (if the dosing unit permits, e.g., adjusting the values to 6.8 and 7.2, select 6.8 g) for more information contact the service centre. 86 16 Mains AC freequency filter This setting permits enabling/disabling the software mains frequency filter in the cases when the ~230 V mains used for the vending machine power supply is noisy. The recommended value for this setting is NO (the filter is not used). If because of the NO selection the vending machine generates too many mains frequency errors (the power line is noisy), enable the filter be selecting YES. When operating the vending machine from gasoline and diesel generators, the activation of the program filter is not recommended, because this filter operates well only provided the mains frequency conforms to standards and is stable. 17 Cups below sensor The setting of the number of cups available for giving out after the cup availability sensor at the giving out mechanism detects their finishing. The recommended value is 0. When specifying the value other than 0, after the cups are finished the vending machine will give out the number of portions, specified in this setting (using the cups that are under the cup availability sensor, i.e. by using the cups that are visible to this sensor). The setting if effective only for vending machines that give out cups (i.e. it s meaningless for NERO). 18 Cups turret start time The setting is effective only for vending machines that are giving out cups and providing setting 17 is not zero. When setting the BY SENSOR the vending machine starts the drum (starts searching for the next nonempty cup tube) immediately after the cup sensor activates (before the NO CUPS error appears). This is the recommended value. When setting the WHEN EMTPY the drum starts only after the specified in setting 17 cups are used up (cups under the sensor). This value is recommended to specify (in the case of correct specification of setting 17) in the cases of changing from one type of cups to another (to avoid cup jamming in the dispenser in the case of using the different type cups). 19 Doser sensor inversion YES - if the dosing unit microswitch us connected to normally open contacts; NO - if the dosing unit microswitch us connected to normally closed contacts. 87 20 Nero coffee waste checking 21 Waste basket auto reset at startup (Nero only) The setting is effective for NERO vending machines, operating with ground coffee (and is meaningless for large vending machines and NERO INSTANT). Permits/prohibits stopping making coffee after the coffee waste container is overfilled. Because there are no overfill sensors, the vending machine simple counts the number of portions made. The setting specifies a number of wastes that can fit into the container (recommended value 200). When exceeding the number of portions made the vending machine generates an error and stops making coffee. The error can be reset only by removing the waste container for a protracted period of time (several seconds) after powering the vending machine off. By setting the DISABLE the vending machine switches off the waste container overfill control, and the vending machine doesn t stop when the waste container is overfilled. The setting is effective for NERO vending machines only. When choosing YES the LIQUID WASTE CONTAINER IS OVERFILLED error will be automatically reset each time when switching on/off. 22 Fresh milk flowmeter This setting is effective only for vending machines with fresh milk option (FRESH MILK). YES - if the vending machine has a milk flow meter installed; NO - if the flow meter is not installed. 23 Shift button (Nero) SET - specifies the button number on the NERO (not NERO TOUCH) vending machines keypad, which will act as shift. This increases a number of drinks that can be selected from 10 to 18. Shift switches the button numbering from 1-10 to 11-20, i.e. if the customer presses the 1 button, he will get the drink No.1. 89 1 Coffee temperature The setting impacts all vending machines (including instant drink vending machines) and specifies the temperature that the vending machine boiler will try to maintain. SET MIN - here the boiler temperature is specified, which the vending machine will maintain immediately after the coffee-based drink preparation (as well as after making for a time, specified in setting 7 (considering setting 6). If the heating time (the SET MAX HEATING TIME field) is zero, then the boiler is always maintaining the temperature specified here. SET MAX - here the boiler temperature is specified, which the vending machine will maintain after a while (after making the last coffee drink), specified in the (SET MAX HEAT- ING TIME) field plus time, specified in setting 7. For instant vending machines, the boiler is always maintained at this temperature (if the lower field in this setting is not zero), because it never brews coffee-based drinks (i.e. time elapsed from the moment of making the last coffee-based drink is infinity). SET MAX HEATING TIME - here the time during which the boiler temperature will be raised up to the maximum (as set in the previous field) is specified. Before this time pass, the boiler temperature will gradually increase from the minimum (the first field) to the maximum (the previous field) proportionately with the passed time. If 0 is specified, then the boiler temperature is always maintained on the level, specified in the MINIMUM (the first field in this setting). Timekeeping (during which the temperature starts rising) will start after making the coffee-based drink. The time is specified by setting 7. 2 Soluble temperature Here the minimum permissible temperature for making the instant drinks (or hot water) is set. The vending machine starts making coffee if the actual temperature differs downward from the temperature specified here by no more than 3 degrees. Otherwise, before making coffee, the vending machine waits for the boiler to heat up. The upward difference is not limited. It should be noted that between making drinks the temperature in the boiler is maintained in accordance with setting 1. This setting comes into effect only at the moment of instant drink making. 94 1 Precolling after hot products The setting permits specifying the amount of water that the vending machine pumps through the tubes before dispensing a cold drink to cool down these tubes (so that the water used for making the drink don t heat up from hot tubes). This setting is meaningless for vending machines that are not giving out cups (because the water used for precooling should flow past the cup, and this is possible only for vending machines having a cup hand putting the cup into the drink making zone only at the moment when it s necessary). The setting is effective (taken into account), but is meaningless for vending machines, which tubes for cold and hot drinks don t intersect. In other words, for vending machines having cold water directly connected to the particular mixer (not coming through a selector), it s recommended to disable this setting, because it s meaningless (cold water tubes never heat up when dispensing hot drinks). SET COOLING OFF TIME here time in minutes is specified (counted off from the moment of last dispensing of a hot drink), during which the tubes are cooled down by themselves (i.e. their cooling down by water isn t required). To disable precooling after hot drinks specify 0 in this field. SET WATER QUANTITY FOR COOLING here the amount of water is specified (in millilitres for software controlled cooling unit or in tenths of a second for hardware cooling unit, see setting 3), which should be pumped through heated tubes for their cooling immediately after making a hot drink. If after making a hot drink some time had passed (less than specified in the previous field), then the amount of pumped water is reduced proportionally to the time elapsed. 95 2 Precolling after cold products This setting permits specifying in addition to setting 1 the amount of water (the amount of water calculated by setting 1 is summed up with the amount of water, calculated by this setting) that the vending machine pumps through the tubes before dispensing a cold drink to cool down these tubes (so that the water used for making the drink don t heat up from hot tubes This setting is meaningless for vending machines that are not giving out cups (because the water used for precooling should flow past the cup, and this is possible only for vending machines having a cup hand putting the cup into the drink making zone only at the moment when it s necessary). The setting is effective for all vending machines with the cold drinks dispensing function, because it s intended for compensating the tubes heating by a surface temperature, if a cold drink wasn t dispensing for a long time. SET MIN. TIME (WHEN DO NOT COOL) specifies the time in minutes, during which after the dispensing of the last cold drink the tube cooling is not required. SET MAX. TIME (MAX PRECOOLING) (this HAS TO BE strictly greater than MINIMUM TIME). This setting is not delaying the transition to the next ingredient. It only delays the cup dispensing (providing that the instant ingredient was the last to be dispensed). For vending machines without cup dispensing this setting affects the illumination switching time from red to blue, as well as the information display on the screen about the drink readiness. This setting is effective only if in the CUP BEFORE BREW- ER OPENS setting (see below) the NO is specified. In this case, the setting specifies a time period (in tenths of a second), during which after the return of the coffee group into the open state the vending machine will not dispense a cup with a drink to the customer. During this time period, all the remaining water from the tubes should completely drain to the cup. This setting is not delaying the transition to the next ingredient. It only delays the cup dispensing (providing that the coffee ingredient was the last to be dispensed). For vending machines without cup dispensing this setting affects the illumination switching time from red to blue, as well as the information display on the screen about the drink readiness. This setting is meaningless for instant vending machines. 4 Pre-grinding This setting is meaningless for instant vending machines. Selecting YES permits quickening the coffee-based drinks making at the expense of pre-grinding (grinding coffee before the customer selects a drink). Also if selecting YES, in the event the vending machine runs out of coffee beans, it will display an error before the customer selects a drink (the error occurs at the moment of the grinding attempt). If the ground coffee freshness is more important than the speed of making, select NO in this setting. 99 5 Cup before brewer opens This setting is effective when dispensing drinks, in which the coffee ingredient is programmed last. 6 Beverage dispensing speed up In the YES case the vending machine dispenses a cup at first, and only after that returns the coffee group to the open state. This speeds up the drink dispensing process but part of coffee (the remainder of the drink in the coffee group and tubes) gets to the waste bucket (and several drops can even get onto the cup rim, dirtying it from the outside). If getting all drink into the cup as well as its outside cleanness is more important, than the speed of drink making, then specify NO for this setting. For vending machines without cup dispensing this setting affects the illumination switching time from red to blue, as well as the information display on the screen about the drink readiness. This setting is meaningless for instant vending machines. This setting is effective for vending machines dispensing cups and sugar with stirrers only. It permits speeding up the process of drink dispensing by not waiting for the vending machine dispensing mechanism to complete the cup dispensing operation (because when the cup dispenser is assembled correctly, a cup falls much earlier than the dispensing mechanism finishes its operation) and the stirrers/sugar dispensing operation (because stirrers and sugar fall much earlier, then their dispensing mechanism finishes its operation). This setting shouldn t be used if the cup dispensing mechanism is assembled wrongly or is non-standard. The setting may take the following values: NO no speeding-up. The vending machine waits for the cup dispenser to fully complete its operation, and only after that it dispenses a stirrer and sugar. And when dispensing a stirrer and sugar the vending machine waits for their dispenser to fully complete its operation, and only after that the hand movement starts. This item should be selected in the case when a non-standard (or wrongly assembled) cup dispenser is used, or if after selecting other options the sequence of the drink preparation gets wrong. OLD STIRRERS DISPENSER provides small speed-up in the presence of stirrer/sugar. Should be selected if the vending machine uses the old (slow) stirrer/sugar dispensing module. 103 1 Name For coffee vending machines the button number is input (1-16 for ROSSO, 1-12 for NOVA, 1-10 for NERO). For snack vending machines the two-digit (irrespective of setting 2 / 3 digits) cell number is input (11-18, for narrow and 10-1B, 80-8B for wide snacks). Input number Here the product name is input (up to 20 symbols). This name is used for unloading to the audit file. For vending machines with LCD indicator, this name is also displayed on the indicator when choosing the product. For the Rosso Touch, Rosso Touch To Go vending machine this name is used for searching for files with product image, multilanguage name, and multilanguage description (see the ROSSO TOUCH instruction). For the MOVE vending machines this name is not used (only for unloading to audit file). If near the name there s a SELECTION button (i.e. the connected directories are available), then entering this field manually is not recommended. In such situation pressing the SELECTION button is recommended. Choose a product from the list on the screen. Disable Input time and date 3 Cash / Card SET PRICE - The setting of sale cost when cash/by card buying; SET DISCOUNT / BLOCKINGS - Permits / prohibits the setting of discount/markup and prohibition; DISCOUNTS / SURCHARGES - The setting of discount or markup from the specified sale price (setting SET PRICE) in percentage when cash/server credit buying. For setting the product discounts / surcharges validity period press the C button in the Discounts / surcharges field and specify the time zones and valid discount/markup days of the week. Time zone start and end time are specified in the Time ranges tab (see above). BLOCKINGS - Setting the prohibition on sales when buying for cash/server credit (by card 1..3). To specify time and validity period of the products sales prohibition press the C button in the Blockings field and set the time zones and sales prohibition days of the week. Time zone start and end time are specified in the Time ranges tab (see above). 4 Lift This setting is effective for vending machines only with an lift. For the FoodBox Lift vending machine here the lift position against the upper sensor is programmed in millimetres (0 the uppermost position, and the higher the value, the lower the lift will be; the value of 10 stands for one centimetre). This value is important for all cells, whether they are given out with or without a lift. In the first case the lift position should be opposite to the shelf, and in the second case above the product (so that the falling product doesn t touch the lift). For MOVE vending machines this setting impacts the vending machine operation only if it s edited in a version, embedded into the vending machine user interface. The standalone version can only display these values, read from the vending machine. At that, the value can be changed, but the vending machine will ignore all the changes of this setting when loading the configuration file into the vending machine. For MOVE vending machines this field specified the lift vertical position for this cell relative to the lower end sensor (the higher this value, the lower the lift) in a quarter of a millimetre (the value of 40 stands for one centimetre). 105 5 Pusher(MOVE) / Lift usage This setting is effective for Foodbox Lift and MOVE vending machines only. For the FoodBox Lift vending machine this setting permits programming whether the product should be delivered by lift the PUSHER / WITH LIFT valu) or it will fall by itself the SPIRAL / WITHOUT LIFT valu). In the first case, the vending machine brings the lift to the programmed cell, then gives out the product, and then lowers the lift with the product down. If in the process of giving out the product the photo sensors didn t register the falling product, the process is repeated in accordance with the settings for the additional rotation. In the second case, the vending machine brings the lift to the programmed cell (it should be programmed above the level of the shelf and the product), then gives out the product, then executed the additional rotation (if the product didn t fall) and only then lowers the lift down. For the MOVE vending machine the cell type is specified here. If selecting the PUSHER / WITH LIFT, the vending machine will open the pusher lock before dispensing, close it after dispensing and conduct lift rocking to drop the product in the case if it fell down upright (only in the case of multisale). If selecting the SPIRAL / WITHOUT LIFT, the vending machine will open/close the pusher lock, and will not try to drop the product. Spiral / Without lift Pusher / With lift Page 105

106 6 Article ID This setting should be specified for all vending machines, but it s effective for snack vending machines only. This setting has two purposes. First of all, by using this setting one can indicate the vending machine in what cells the same product is located. In the second place, for the MOVE vending machine this setting permits identifying the product in a directory (by using this code the vending machine finds the image, multilanguage name, product description, etc.). For the MOVE vending machine the setting of this field manually is not recommended. It s filled automatically when choosing a product from the list (see the description of setting 1 above) providing that the configurator has the directories connected (they are automatically connected in the embedded version, and they should be connected via the menu in the standalone version, see the (Settings - Product directories) menu description). If the directories are connected, then when changing this field the product name field will automatically change to the name found under the new code in the connected directories. If specifying NO in that setting for all snack vending machines, then the vending machine considers this product as being put in this cell only and when choosing this cell it will give out only this cell (at that choosing the cell in the MOVE vending machine will not be possible, because without the product code the product will not be displayed on the product selection screen). When choosing the SET a code in the range from 1 to should be input. At that, the vending machine considers that in all cells with the identical code the identical product is put, and when choosing such cells the vending machine can give out the product from another cell with the identical products (see the SELECTION PRIORITY) setting below). This opportunity should be used with the enabled and operable photo sensors only, because otherwise a person may not get the selected product if in one of the cells the product had finished (a person will be selecting a cell with a present product, while the vending machine may try to give out the product from an empty cell, and if the photo sensors are disabled the vending machine will decide that the product was dispensed successfully). Also when using this possibility it s recommended to specify in the СНЕК 1 (SNACK 1) cell a prohibition on giving out the product from the cell after 1 (or 2) faulty sales in succession. All cells with identical product codes should have identical names, prices and other parameters (except for priority). No Set Page 106

107 7 Selection priority This setting is effective only if the product code is specified in the cell, and there are other cells with this code. In this case, the vending machine makes a decision from which particular cell the product will be given out on the basis of this setting. In the first place, the vending machine gets rid of products in the cells having a lesser value of priority (i.e., the vending machine empties the cells with 0 priority first). The cells with a higher value of priority are used only when the cells with a lower value of priority are emptied. The cells having the identical value of priority are spent in turns to maintain an even amount of products in the cells. E.g., if cells 11, 12, 13 have the identical product code, and cells 11 and 13 have the value of priority 0, and cell 12 has 1, then until there are products in cells 11 a/or 13, the vending machine will give out the product from these cells (even if the customer selects cell 12). At that, if the previous giving out was executed from cell 11, then the next giving out will be conducted from cell 13, аnd the next but one again from cell 11. Set priority Cell 12 will be used only after cells 11 and 13 will run out of products. 8 Icon This setting is effective for MOVE vending machines only. 9 Product temperature condition Here the necessity of displaying the special pictogram near the product image (e.g., specifying that there s a special offer for this product, etc.) is specified, and if necessary, which pictogram. For this, an icon code programmed in directories is specified. If directories are connected in the configurator (see the Settings - Product directories) menu description), then instead of the icon code the pictogram can be selected from the drop-down menu. The setting is effective for snack vending machines only, in which the temperature control is activated (see the description of the temperature sensor 1 control on the SNACK 1/2) tab, as well as the (MAXIMAL TEMPERATURE 1 OUT OF RANGE DURATION) setting). Here it s chosen whether the product should stop selling if the fresh products storage error occurred, or not (more information about this error see in the MAXIMAL TEMPER- ATURE 1 OUT OF RANGE DURATION setting description in the SNACK 1/2 tab). This parameter should be specified as Fresh for the products that can get spoiled in the case of wrong temperature storage. 10 Tax Setting the tax that will be transmitted to the fiscal data recorder, FN (fiscal storage) and OFD (Fiscal Data Operator) when selling this product.
