Rotolok Rotary Valve Rotolok Kleanlok Easy Release Rotary Valve The work horse of the bulk handling industry, a Rotary Valve regulates flow from one chamber to another while maintaining a good airlock condition. The large range of options on standard valves cater for many applications in food processing systems at stages where easy clean and hygiene are not key requirements. Cast iron, mild steel or stainless steel materials with round or square flanges and open, closed or bladed rotors. The Kleanlok is a specialised version of a Rotary Valve. The modular design with all machined surfaces and demountable rotor makes it easy to clean, an important feature aimed specifically at the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries where cleanliness, both internal and external, must be maintained to a high standard. Easy Release rotary valves are designed to allow just one person to maintain and easily clean the rotor. Being on rails saves on production downtime and reduces man hours. An inspection door can also be fitted in the valve body that provides access and surveying of the valve internals to check for wear. Special Rotor designs Offset Rotary Valve Performing the same job as a standard Rotary Valve but with integral design features to handle grain, pellets, crumbs and other large and potentially non-friable granules. The offset inlet ensures minimal jamming and breakage because the handled product falls away from the housing and rotor tip shear point during filling. Blowing Seal Valve Blowing Seals are a natural extension of the Rotary Valve meeting the specific needs of pneumatic conveying systems. The conveying air passes directly through the rotor pockets with low effective pressure drop and ensuring highly efficient rotor discharge into the line. Scalloped rotor Generally a standard feature in food application rotors, scalloped pockets aid product discharge and are particularly suitable for sticky or agglomerating materials. The option of a PTFE surface coating assists further with the reduction of product contact surface build-up that cannot be tolerated in the food industry.
