19 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS WHAT IS A BUYOUT/MINIMUM SPEND? This is the amount you are required to pay (before taxes and gratuity) in order to reserve the exclusive use of one of our spaces. This amount changes according to season. Please contact your group event planner for exact pricing. Flight time is our term for a Gondola departure from the base and summit. Flight times are assigned to all confirmed bookings and are set at least 20 to 40 minutes prior to your reservation time (based on availability). Upload flight times are available on the hour, 20 minutes past and 40 minutes past. Last Gondola download flight time is always 30 minutes prior to close. CAN MY GROUP ARRIVE AND LEAVE OUTSIDE OF REGULAR GONDOLA HOURS? Yes, additional charges will apply. There will be a charge of $500 per hour before midnight. AM I REQUIRED TO GIVE BANFF GONDOLA ORGANIZERS A FLOOR PLAN FOR OUR EVENT? Your group event planner will work with you to produce a floorplan at least seven days prior to your event. DELIVERIES & UPLOADING All deliveries for your event must arranged and approved through your group event planner. To help, we have a limited number of material carts available. These carts are 4 feet wide, 4 feet high and 5 feet long. They hold a maximum of 500kg per cart. ** Additional fees may apply for uploads during peak hours and dates. Please inquire with your event planner for further details. DOG POLICY For the safety of our guests and colleagues, dogs are not permitted on the gondola with the exception of service dogs. WHEELCHAIRS The Gondola summit building is fully wheelchair accessible, with the exception of the boardwalk. SMOKING Smoking is only permitted on the outdoor platform on level one. WINTER EVENTS Certain conditions apply to winter bookings from November 1 to March 1 each year including bad weather procedures, reduced lift extensions and proper dress. Please inquire with your event planner for further information. CAN WE BRING IN OUR OWN ALCOHOL? Unfortunately we do not provide a corkage service. However, we are proud to offer a selection of Canadian wines, beers and spirits. CAN WE BRING OUR OWN CELEBRATORY CAKE? In special circumstances, you may bring up your own birthday or wedding cakes. Please note that a Cake Cutting Fee of $5 pp will be charged to cover service and storage and a waiver of responsibility will be requested. Please inquire with your event planner. CAN WE BRING OUR OWN MUSIC? Yes. Our in-house sound system is compatible with Apple products like iphones and ipods, plus Android devices. DO YOU RENT AUDIO/VISUAL EQUIPMENT? Yes. Please ask your group event planner for costs and details. CAN WE BRING IN DÉCOR ITEMS? We allow limited additional décor with the following restrictions. Adhesives On the floor you can only use poly-coated cloth tape or gaffer s tape. Vinyl, foam, and packing tape are prohibited. We do not allow any tape on the walls. Banners and Hanging Décor We ask that you only bring self-supported, pop up banners. These signs can only be placed within the reserved venue. Candles There are no open flames permitted, inside or outdoors, on any level of the building. Tables and Chairs As there is very limited onsite storage, we ask you use the tables and chairs provided. Trash Removal We ask all that you or your suppliers remove all belongings and trash after set up and tear down. Items left over will be disposed of. 18
