MARTINEZ PALOU Item 4 of the agenda: Harmonised questionnaire for data collection (Questionnaire 2009, rev.1)

2 Revised questionnaire for the data collection on organic production and farming Background Council Regulation 834/2007 on "organic production and labelling of organic products" Implementing Commission Regulation 889/2008 List of Tables Table 1: Information on registered organic operators This form asks for the number of organic operators by different types Table 2: Information on organic and crop products This form asks information on organic s (in hectares) occupied by each crop and yields (in tonnes) of each crop. It is also asked to split-up the s into 's in ' and 'fully s'. The columns ' type' are to inform which type of is relevant for the different crops. Table 3: Information on organic livestock and organic livestock products; organic aquaculture This form asks information on livestock by species (in heads). A summary of some relevant livestock products is also asked as optional information. Table 4: Manufacturing of organic products: Organic processors and value/volume of production by type of economic activity This form asks information on the type of economic activity that processors are linked to and (on a voluntary basis) the value and volume of production.

It excludes all non-producing s, such as new plantations that have not yet started to produce. Utilised Agricultural (): the total taken up by arable land, permanent grassland, permanent crops and kitchen gardens used by the holdings, regardless of the type of tenure or whether it is used as common land.
