3 In 2010, UNESCO included the Mediterranean diet in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, upon request made jointly by Greece, Spain, Italy and Morocco. Greece, because of its climatic conditions and morphology, produces most of the main products that make up the Mediterranean diet. Having faith on the fertile Greek land s products, we decided to promote them in the whole world, showing that this small country of the Mediterranean Basin a land for flowers and bees is blessed by the Gods. We started our own beekeeping unit and in cooperation with other units we created a portfolio of Greek products embodying our efforts in a Trading Company of Greek Standardized Food Products, TML P.C. - which stands for The Mediterranean Land, our homeland. Our aim is to offer products that fully incorporate all the benefits of the acknowledged Mediterranean diet, using the most approved and traditional practices and precluding any artificial processes. Our intention is to inform the consumers all over the world about the high nutritional and medicinal qualities of the Greek products and offer them the best quality in a very special package, so that our brand will be recognizable as a synonym of quality, elegance and a healthy lifestyle. We chose the names athena for our olive oils line, nectar for our bee products line and acetum for our balsamic vinegars line. All our products bottles are made of top quality Italian glass, while the logos are printed directly on them, creating a unique package that you never throw away. Our products are now at your disposal. We are convinced that their quality and their package will leave everyone satisfied, as all the aromas and tastes of the Greek countryside are gathered in our beautiful bottles!

4 Who we are Thanos Vallianatos was born in Athens in He studied Economics at the University of Macedonia (Business Administration) and having worked in the accounting department of various companies for several years, he quickly realized that his love for nature would lead him into other paths. Thanos decided to deal with beekeeping as hobby, because he was always interested in these fabulous insects and the miracle of life they produce. What started as hobby quickly changed into profession, when in 2006 he established a company engaged in the production and distribution of honey s best quality in Greece. Catherine Xidaki was born in Athens in She studied French Literature and Art History at the Sorbonne University. Having worked as interpreter, conferences coordinator and chief editor of magazines, she decided to join her husband, Thanos, in order to promote the unique Greek products all over the world.

Royal jelly is collected and sold as an important dietary supplement for humans, claiming various health benefits because of components, such as B-complex vitamins, pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine). The overall composition of royal jelly is 67% water, 12.5% crude protein, including small amounts of many different amino acids, and 11% simple sugars (monosaccharides), also including a relatively high amount (5%) of fatty acids. It also contains many trace minerals, some enzymes, antibacterial and antibiotic components, and trace amounts of vitamin C, but none of the fat-soluble vitamins, A, D, E and K. Royal Jelly has a yellowish colour, a sour taste and a creamy texture. Royal jelly should be stored in the freezer before opening. After opening, it is maintained at 5ºC (refrigerator) up to 6 months, while air, light and metal utensils may affect its effectiveness. Use always a clean plastic spoon! Our Organic White Balsamic Vinegar with Apple, acetum, has sweet sour taste and clear, light amber colour. White vinegar is produced by handpicked organic grapes of the famous white wine variety Roditis, a native ancient Greek variety, which along with the white Savatiano and the red Agiorgitiko, are considered the oldest Greek grape varieties. This variety is grown in Mamouzia, on the slopes of Aigialia region, an area famous for producing PDO Ahaia white wines. The organic aromatic apples of the Greek variety Coriander (PDO Pelion) are carefully selected, washed, and, after cut into large pieces, they are placed in white balsamic vinegar and left there for a long period of time until they extract their rich aroma and flavor in the vinegar. Then, the apples are removed from the product and the flavored balsamic is left for several months in stainless steel tanks, until it is clean. The only processing of the product, before bottling, is the filtering through a very thin cotton fabric. The bottles are carefully rinsed with a solution of white vinegar and then the product is bottled. This balsamic vinegar has an acidity of 6 % and self life of 36 months.
