1 Weddings & Receptions Welcome and Thank You for choosing the Evinrude Banquet Centre to celebrate your special day. The Evinrude Banquet Centre presents a unique and exclusive opportunity to customize your choices for catering, bar option and level of décor. Our function space presents a blank canvas for you to transform your vision of the perfect day into a reality.

2 Event Information & Policies Room Rental Fees Summary The following rental charges are subject to HST and applies to functions using the Evinrude Banquet Facility room: Full Room Rental $ Kitchen Services $ Socan Fee $ Re:Sound $55.52 Total $ HST *fees subject to annual increases Kitchen Services A $ HST charge applies to all functions utilizing the kitchen space and or hydro in the Evinrude Banquet Facility for any catered events. *Tariffs There are 2 mandatory charges for the playing of music as per the Copyright Act of Canada. SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) and Re:Sound (music Artists and Recording Companies). With a Dance Without a Dance SOCAN $ HST $ HST Re:Sound $ HST $ HST *Rates subject to change Damage Deposit The Renter shall compensate the City for any damage to the Facility that occurs during the rental. The Renter acknowledges that the City may deduct such costs or repair(s) it incurs from the Renter out of any rental fees held by the City or pursue other remedies available at law. Function space may be subject to Evinrude staff supervision during the rental period. All personal properties must be removed from the function space at the conclusion of the function. Neither the Evinrude Banquet Facility nor the City of Peterborough will be held responsible for the loss, damage or theft to personal articles or décor left on the property or the moving, storage of guest favours, gifts or gift envelopes/ envelope holders. Function Space The Evinrude Banquet Facility has a capacity of 340 people depending on set up. A suggested comfortable maximum with dancing is 240. Terms of Payment A 50 % non-refundable advanced deposit of the total fees is required at the time of booking to secure the date and function space. A payment schedule will require 100% of the rental and associated fees outstanding being paid 30 days prior to event or 60 days if payment by cheque. A valid credit card will be kept on file to process all outstanding fees relating to a bar option selected after the conclusion of the function. Deposit may be made by cash, certified cheque, debit or major credit card. The Evinrude Banquet Facility may ask for an additional deposit towards the balance at any time. Event Cancellation Policy It is understood that this agreement is not subject to cancellation and if the client(s) attempt to cancel at any time, the client(s) shall be liable for payment of all losses including but not limited to; function space rental, monies paid out and loss of revenue. A cancellation of ninety (90) days or less will result in the loss of deposit. Smoking The entire Evinrude Centre building is a non-smoking facility. Smoking must be 9 metres (29 feet) away from any entrance.

3 Bar Services & Licensed Functions All licensed bar services will be executed by the The Evinrude Banquet Facility. No outside alcohol or homemade wine is permitted for any function. Wine and Champagne can be purchased through the Evinrude Banquet Centre. A limit of (3) three one litre bottles of wine are permitted per guest table. All unused portions will be disposed of by the Evinrude Banquet Centre. Exact quantities are required (3) weeks prior to the function. Refer to the wine list. For your guest convenience cash, debit and credit card service is available at the bar. All licensed evening functions will end on or before 1:00 a.m. with the closing of the bar and concluding of music. Bar Options Both Ticket and Cash Bar options are available for your event. A dedicated bar with bartender within the function space is provided by the Evinrude Banquet Centre. The Evinrude Banquet Centre will stock the bar with domestic beer, house wine, house spirits (scotch, rye, rum, gin and vodka) and coolers. Cash Bar For the convenience of your guests cash, debit and credit card transactions may be made to purchase beverages. $100 dollar bills will not be accepted. ATM on site. Subsidized Bar Guests can purchase drinks for a set amount all night with the remaining balance being charged to the pre-arranged credit card for settlements after the conclusion of the function. Disclaimer It is the policy of the Evinrude Banquet Facility to serve no more than two (2) drinks to one person and only offer single shot drinks at one time. Evinrude Banquet Staff is qualified with Smart Serve and will follow all federal and provincial laws: our bartender(s) have the right to stop serving drinks to someone determined as consuming in excess. Should our staff members be in the position to ask a guest to leave the function space a pre-designated individual as instructed by the bride and groom will be consulted. Outside alcohol (not purchased within the Evinrude Banquet Facility) is against our Liquor License and is not permitted on the Evinrude property or in the parking lot. Guests are not permitted to bring outside alcohol into the function space or outside the designated areas (parking lot). If guest favours contain alcohol they cannot be opened or consumed on the property. Ticket Bar The Bride and Groom can hand out drink tickets throughout the night and the total will be charged to the house account. Guests will still have the option of purchasing additional drinks.

4 Decoration & Set Up Access Time The function space will be made available to you starting at 10 a.m. the day of your event once 100% of the rental fee is received prior to the date of your event. Decor Decoration over ten (10) feet in height would require the rental of a lift and authorized personnel to use. The lift rental fee and hourly rate for staff will be passed onto client. Décor that results in any holes or taping to walls is not permitted. Centerpieces Centerpieces containing candles must be in an enclosed container, open flame is not permitted. Any outside decorators must be notified that they have a maximum of one (1) hour following the conclusion of the function for complete tear down. Limitations The client understands that the contract with the Evinrude Banquet Facility is for the purpose of securing function space. The Evinrude Banquet Facility will only assume responsibility for set up and tear down including tables & chairs and clean up. The contract does not cover the following items which are the responsibility and cost to the client. Catering & Kitchen Clean Up Décor Linens (table cloths, napkins, chair covers) Pipe & Drape or Carpeting Dishes, cutlery & glassware Coffee urns Sound Room Dividers or Separators
