DID YOU KNOW? ADOLPH BRODSKY (1851 1929) This restaurant is named after Adolph Brodsky, Principal of the Royal Manchester College of Music one of the RNCM s founding institutions from 1896 until his death in 1929. An acclaimed teacher and violinist, Brodsky gave the world première of Tchaikovsky s Violin Concerto in 1881 after Leopold Auer, who it had been written for and dedicated to, declared it unplayable.
